Who it's for
Teladoc Health is for individuals seeking quick, convenient virtual consultations for common medical issues and prescription refills, especially those with busy schedules or limited access to in-person care R39. It may not be suitable for users who require consistent app stability, reliable video connections, or seamless integration with other health tracking apps and devices R92.
Evidence note: The recent reviews skew significantly negative (0.496 recent-negative signal), which contrasts with the high lifetime rating of 4.78. This suggests a recent decline in user satisfaction, particularly regarding app functionality and consistency of service. While there are many positive reviews praising the care, the volume and consistency of complaints about app glitches and service issues in the recent sample are substantial.

- [R18] Great doc: I can’t remember her name but she was fantastic. Nice. Down to earth. Honest.
- [R20] Wish I tried Teladoc sooner!: Teladoc did more for me than urgent care or my PCP. Quick, easy, professional.
- [R29] Video Dr visit on Sunday: The Dr was very kind. Asked questions, and responded with RX to be called in. Quick and easy. Grateful!
- [R48] Amazing: Traveling on vacation. Had an ear infection. Visit and prescription called in under 5 minutes. I was shocked how easy this was. Well done.
- [R91] Great Doctor: Very friendly welcoming doctor gave me meds I needed and picked them up in the same day
- [R69] Thorough & convenient: I’ve used Teladoc Health a few times. The app is very user friendly. It’s quick and easy to use. There’s no better way to get the care you need with a well trained doctor.
- [R81] Convenient Care on the go.: Anytime just about and anywhere. Health finally comes first. Smooth transition from office visits to one on one care as it should be. The doctor is fully focused on you at that time and nothing else. Quality care when needed. Took me a few years to join, should’ve done it sooner. Love it!
- [R83] Teladoc Health Mobile Services: Quick and easy to use
- [R3] Doesn’t work: Constant recieve “something went wrong” unable to save or update food… it’s a solid waste of time!!
- [R4] Glitchy app: Made me keep redoing my history and never saved the info.
- [R19] this app is HORRIBLE: this app is absolutely a nightmare. It is the glitches thing I’ve ever used. It’s always freezing. I get error messages when I try to do important things sometimes I can’t see my provider. Sometimes the provider can’t see me and you would think with all these updates that it would change, but it doesn’t. Unfortunately, I do have to use this app, but it is a very dreadful expe
- [R24] Needs better providers: I wish I could give it a better review. On the medical side it’s pretty good. I usually get someone on pretty quick. But that’s where the good parts end. The app itself freezes a lot. It takes several tries of closing and reopening the app to get anything done. And , on the mental health side, it’s awful. Especially when you’re trying to find a new provider. The last pr
- [R26] Horrible App: This is an honest review of the app. Every time I have to log back into the app I have to re-enter my medical history not only is it inconvenient. It is flat out a horrible app.
- [R30] App won’t work: Tried to log in and get care for my daughter. All It would tell me over and over again was to reload the page and try again later.
- [R51] App is trash: Have to change my password every time, even when I say enable Face ID. And then I can’t change my address to match my financial institution’s address on file. Do better
- [R62] Reg: Connection keep getting lost Had to Demeter several times
- [R82] The worst experience for mental health.: To start, the technology used is extremely outdated and unreliable. You will have countless issues with your doctor being unable to connect, not getting messages, or never receiving a response. Once I’d finally found a therapist I liked, she was almost impossible to reach and cancelled 2 visits after they were meant to be started. Teladoc customer service
- [R96] No video???: I had an appointment with the doctor via Teladoc video and I was talking to a black screen. I think it should be required for the doctor to be on camera to know who it is that we are interacting with. Just my thoughts. Also, I was told what was being given but not really what the diagnosis is.
- [R8] One person only: I like the devices. They are easy to setup. I don’t care for this app. If anyone else uses the device connected to your app then their data ends up in you. Annoying. There’s some adjustment that can be made for the data associated with the scale but tech support there’s no way to remove the data associated with the blood pressure. This should be an easy task to have multipl
- [R15] Constant unavailability messages: Every time I try to record meals the app says unavailable at this time when adding food. When people want to use an app to help manage issues the app needs to work otherwise people are going to get frustrated and guilt.
- [R34] Food diary: I’m still trying to figure out this app for my goals. The food diary is awful. I want to do everything right but it’s just terrible. I’ll continue to use My Fitness Pal for my food tracking.
- [R43] I love the App, but…: I like the potential for this to be a great App. However, almost daily the App stalls out, and I have to turn off my IPhone completely to try to restart the App. Sometimes this works and at other times it’s a non starter. I also run into problems trying to enter data to track my food intake. I get the following messages: (1) Oops, something went wrong; followed by (2) we’
- [R5] Worst experience ever.: I set up a video call to speak to a doctor so I can renew a prescription however, they called over the phone instead of a video call being familiar with the process. I asked the person speaking to me if they could transfer to a video call instead and the answer was no and of course I asked and he confirmed I would be charged anyway despite the mistake so I said I’d call a c
- [R10] Urinary infection over 60 must see a provider in Person is rediculous: I’m not an invalid or on any daily medication. Because I am 61., I have been grouped in with elderly and unhealthy. These ages should really be updated. If a person is active, healthy, of a good weight and not on any medication’s, the recommendation should not have to be seen in person. Shame on Teladoc.
- [R16] Wrong Prescription: Called 4 hours ago still not fixed, doctor sent over wrong prescription!!!!
- [R23] Unprofessional.: Not worth the time or money. Practitioner was unprofessional. Pretty much hung up on me.
- [R47] App stuck doesn’t update missed meeting: The app allowed me to schedule a meeting then crashed and caused me to miss my appointment
- [R49] Takes forever: Still waiting it is already more than 20 min
- [R75] Slow as hell: Waiting time to load anything take as much time as in doc office
- [R88] No answer: I been waiting for over an hour noone.Connected and it said that we nwver responded
- [R37] Deceitful - scam: I was informed they’d send me a free scale, covered by insurance! Now I have a bill where it was very much not covered by insurance. This is a scam!
- [R98] Cc charge: They balked at my HSA card but charged it 4 times while they said it wasn’t valid
- [R107] They sell your data!!: I used to like this app and the fact that telemedicine was so easy and was referred to Teladoc by Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance. However, I've learned that they were in a class action lawsuit for selling our data to data brokers so I no longer trust them and their affiliated companies. Be careful what info you share with the parts of the app that are outside of the telem
- [R113] Very Poor Videocall connection: Dr Had to call me since video conferences was really bad.
- [R7] More connectivity please: I wish this app would sync blood pressure and weight with the Apple Health app.
- [R92] Does NOT sycn Blood Glucose . . .: I am a former Livongo for Diabetes member. The Livongo app synced blood glucose readings to Apple Health. The Teladoc app does not, Blood Glucose doesn't even appear as a data category under Teladoc in the Health app's Sources, which means the app has never requested HealthKit blood glucose permission. This is a regression from Livongo functionality.
- [R226] Pls Share Weight with Apple Health: I have this app because I have your scale, which works well. But the app only shares Steps! Why not weight? This would be very helpful because I would not have to enter it manually, which O rarely remember to do. But very important when I need the data in other apps.
