- [R3] Smartify Lovely when it works: Very cool when it happens to have a painting in its database, which it usually doesn’t. E.g. some paintings in the Yale Center for British Art, but none of its Canalettos.
- [R4] Smartify Can’t identify a lot of paintings: Corn poppy kees von dongen and a mattise with a cat i have could not identify
- [R13] Smartify Won’t recognize anything: Attempted to identify a painting I have had for years. Using the scan it just states cannot recognize. So I used it on some well known paintings and artists, get the same response.
- [R16] Smartify useless: can't identify a coffee cup nor a pot of flowers
- [R1] Smartify Keep losing the scans and having to rescan.: Keep losing the scans and having to rescan. Favoriting is and holding onto museum is hard. Keeps sending me back to new museums in other parts of the world when trying to be present. not obvious. Poor UX
- [R6] Smartify Will work great: Idea is great. Software will be neat when it works more than once or twice
- [R9] Smartify Review: I’ve only used it, or rather tried to use it 3-4 times but it has never “worked”. Not sure where I’m going wrong. Frustrating.
- [R10] Smartify Widgets?: Where are the widgets?
- [R12] Smartify Many works and artists missing :(: I love the concept, I love the interface, but unfortunately so many works and artists that I would like to favorite are not among the collections on this app. For example, I just recently saw a wonderful exhibit with a hall of María Berrío works at the ICA in Boston, but I could not find them here.
- [R15] Smartify Not perfect: Not a lot of paintings described considering enormous collection
- [R42] Smartify Limited to certain museums: The app only recognizes works from certain museums which have a partnership with the app developers. So for the time being it’s only useful if you want to find out more about a painting from one of these museums. Hopefully the list of supported galleries will grow in due course. If like me you downloaded the app expecting it to recognise a wide variety of art work from
- [R8] Smartify Super cool!: I am new to this app but I really like it already - what an awesome way to explore lots of cool places, exhibits, and experiences! Only suggestion - I wish you could search by location (e.g. “London”) and have everything come up. Sometimes it’s hard to figure out where things are located (e.g. there are several “National Gallery” listings and it’s hard to figure out which is in Londo
- [R20] Smartify Good job dev team 👏: I like this app! The scanner works, I get to save my favorite paintings and artists… many paintings come with a blurb, even shows where they’re on display, plus the app looks good :) The search function did take me a few tries to figure out. Say I look up Monet, then Fragonard, the app would search for Fragonard in Monet works 😅
- [R30] Smartify Okay in Parts: I find the app very clunky and not very intuitive. I haven’t had the confidence to buy anything from the shop or get exhibition tickets as yet.
- [R25] Smartify Not feed back: After 2 hours trying, opening and account, paying for audio tours I have nothing and nobody help with results
- [R65] Smartify App is good.: But why do I have to pay for it every month? Just make it a one time thing. One more thing I have to pay for.
- [R67] Smartify Advertising: To many adds, begins to become very very frustrating and makes me not to want to use anymore.
- [R68] Smartify This is bad: First this app glitches all the time then it constantly asks you for money I do not recommend
- [R51] Google Arts & Culture Broken App: This app has failed to work for the last two months. Opening it shows “app error” every time. It’s not a network connection as all my apps work properly except this one.
- [R52] Google Arts & Culture Good potential, but ditch the AI: This app has a lot of potential and I was really looking forward to using it as an alternative to mindless scrolling. Unfortunately Google is leaning into AI way too much, including having soulless AI-generated podcasts that “discuss” art. What an insult to humanity! I had to immediately uninstall.
- [R53] Google Arts & Culture AI features are a miss: I think this app is a great resource in general for art fans. But these AI features being pushed upon the user base are a huge turn off. Why would a fan of visual art, likely an artist themselves, want to listen to an AI character podcasting about Starry Night? I think the AI audio stuff is downright useful in Notebook LM, but here? Just feels like a devaluing of human expr
- [R54] Google Arts & Culture This item no longer exists.: I don't use Arts & Culture that often; I only use this more for education. There is a glitch where you cannot remove favorite images (or images in the lists you have made) that show a greyed-out, squiggly/ripped icon. I can delete non-deleted artworks, but not the ones that show these symbols. First, I have tried to use uBlock Origin on my computer, but it won't let
- [R79] Fever BEWARE OF REFUND SCAM: Issue is with how this platform “refunds” and provides “vouchers”. In case you need to cancel, rebook the same event on another date/time/ location or request a refund beware they will most likely give you a voucher for the same event and date that you can’t make it to and also charge you a $3.47 booking fee on your voucher transactions for rebooking the same event as well.
- [R80] Fever Unbelievably Beautiful: this app helps you discover any kind of night life in any area and it’s a blast to get involved in those kinds of scenes
- [R81] Fever Beware: App sometimes defaults to a date you didn’t select and you have to use a voucher system and pay extra fees to change the date of your tickets.
- [R82] Fever Hard to Navigate Error System: I clicked on a link to book a Washington DC event through this ticketing platform and purchased tickets thinking they were for a Washington DC event, but when I got the confirmation and looked up the location again the event was in Baltimore, Maryland!? I immediately tried to request a refund (2 minutes after I purchased the tickets) but it would only allow me to get
- [R93] Image Recognition And Searcher Don’t waste your time: Extremely buggy This app needs to go
- [R94] Image Recognition And Searcher Nice: Good and useful
- [R95] Image Recognition And Searcher App comments: Was quick but a little confusing.
- [R96] Image Recognition And Searcher No.: I wouldn’t give this even a 1 star. I downloaded it thinking if I just done the 4.99$ a week it would work it wanted me to press the 49$ for a year I couldn’t get pass the pricing/fee. Useless really.
- [R107] Connects Political: Too much political commentary when discussing art.
- [R108] Connects FCP: A beautifully presented exhibition of Mozart’s genius.
- [R109] Connects Deceiving: Shows Kennedy Space Center in the ad, doesn’t actually include Kennedy space center, barely has anything in the major cities.
- [R110] Connects Stop: Please stop interrupting my museum experience; it’s a piteous distraction from the artistic experience, like brutally awakening someone from a delightful dream. Please stop.
- [R17] Smartify Very cool: I used this to scan a oil painting at the Musée d Orsay and it gave me a description and artist. Works beautifully!
- [R74] Smartify Ads: Not just This app but all free apps there is a ad every time you press a button on the app sad that ready player one was right
- [R19] Smartify Absolutely worthless: I scanned several oil paintings that had been previously identified by appraisers and authenticators and this app did not ID a single one of them. Don’t waste your time. It’s a joke.
- [R40] Smartify Waste of time: If you’re trying to identify art you own this will not work. Tried multiple pieces. One I found on Google myself. Worth almost $300. Yet they don’t know what it is. What a joke.
- [R57] Google Arts & Culture ai everywhere: the fact there is a large ai box on everything is so annoying it obstructs the view and is just so frustrating. why does ai have to be literally everywhere i turn even when im trying to learn about art. at least make an option to make it go away
- [R87] Fever Really bad experience: Used the app to buy tickets for an event and it charged me twice. I tried to contact customer service and cancel it but didn’t get any help.
