FollowMyHealth® provides similar features but is plagued by frequent bugs, login issues, and poor customer support, making it less dependable.
Head to head
you are confident your healthcare provider's implementation of FollowMyHealth® is stable and you primarily need basic access to appointments, medications, and some test results, as some users find it easy to use R21R25.
you need a more robust and generally reliable platform for comprehensive healthcare management, including detailed records, communication with doctors, and appointment scheduling, and are willing to navigate occasional login or interface quirks R68.
Evidence note: FollowMyHealth® has a higher lifetime rating but a significant number of recent reviews highlight severe functionality issues, suggesting a decline in performance or user experience. MyChart, despite a slightly lower lifetime rating, appears to offer more consistent core functionality, though it also has its share of user frustrations.

- [R1] FollowMyHealth® Can’t View Results: Well part of this is useful. You can request refills. You can make appointments. But viewing any results is iffy at best. There are instructions to “click on the link above to review results”. Except there usually is no link. Occasionally there is a link but no way to click it because it’s non-functional.
- [R2] FollowMyHealth® It's very good; I’m just asking for this one improvement 🙏🏽: It’s an excellent app that works very well, but I would LOVE an update that allows opening and viewing the actual test result files (images), such as MRIs, CT scans, and X-rays, instead of just the written description.
- [R4] FollowMyHealth® Very difficult to use: Not easy to read or see documents, labs and imaging.
- [R5] FollowMyHealth® Working towards being healthy: This app helps me to check my meds, appt , and vitals. My goal is track to progress.
- [R21] FollowMyHealth® Not a bad app: Displays the information I need it to and easy to use. I couldn’t ask for more
- [R25] FollowMyHealth® So far so good: Very easy to use and understand
- [R26] FollowMyHealth® Poor documentation: Confusing screens with overall poor explanation of steps for using the app
- [R3] FollowMyHealth® Needs bug fix update: Usually the app works like a charm, but today I was unable to renew any prescriptions and also unable to email doctor. Not sure what’s wrong, but would be nice if app support Would make it right again.
- [R7] FollowMyHealth® Worst app ever: The app does not work. It will not allow me to connect with my doctor, who doesn’t even show up in the list of providers even though he is affiliated with Northwell Health. His office sends me emails saying I have a new message but nothing is ever there. I have tried everything over the past few months, deleting my profile and signing in with a new email and password but nothing wo
- [R10] FollowMyHealth® Taking 6 digit passcode from email back to App has erased that page on App.: When going thru the Follow my Health App for a new password after completing new password-then you receive code back in email-then you go back to app and find out that page is gone. Very frustrating. I am working from my IPhone 13, my Follow my Health App is up to date. Pls fix!
- [R15] FollowMyHealth® Nice app! Works well.: Another Medical Portal! Okay…so we will see how this one works!
- [R18] FollowMyHealth® Has limited information and no support: Can't see bills, can't send a message doesn't have your appointments can't get support you go to that tab and it has no information on how to obtain support. Needed to email the provider and messages is greyed out. Useless app.
- [R24] FollowMyHealth® Constant Problems: Talk about constant problems & errors… too many to list. And when we contact “support”, the response is a minimum of a week, if not weeks later. Just now, I went to the support desk and it’s having technical difficulties and is unable to assist. #BeyondDisappointing
- [R32] FollowMyHealth® Follow My Health: This app is absolutely terrible. It’s impossible to navigate, the support or help offered is really non existent and good luck to you if you really need to access your info. I get daily emails telling me my records have been updated, log in to see what has been added, but the answer is nothing. My doctor suggested me using it, I told him I did and it’s awful and he apologized and
- [R80] MyChart Valuable resource: Love this resource, very convenient to know vital information, without waiting to hear from the doctor.. which can take days..❤️
- [R92] MyChart Wonderful information: This is a GREAT addition to managing my health. I get test results, provider notes to me and reminders of visits to providers. I can schedule any appointments and manage availability to these appointments. This is one of the biggest help and information with my health care.
- [R13] FollowMyHealth® Inconsistent: App has gotten pretty bad lately. No option to reply to messages, send a message or request a refill. I have to waste time calling the MD office. Not good
- [R20] FollowMyHealth® Can’t message anymore since update: The app was great. No longer so. My wife’s doc no longer shows up on her app and mine won’t let me message
- [R68] MyChart I couldn’t live without it: This app is one of the best things that happened to medical management. All the paperwork and appointments that you used to have keep in order manually are all in one place. I love how easy it is to update my prescriptions and contact my doctors.
- [R28] FollowMyHealth® App does not load: I don’t know what is going on , but this app is not loading & crashing leaving me unable to access my records. Fix it !
- [R42] FollowMyHealth® Used to work fine. It sucks now: I can’t sign in using any method. Facial recognition- nope. Alternative apple sign in nope. Reset password. I have done this several times very carefully and can’t get the passwords don’t match to turn off I’m positive they match Now I keep getting the message that you don’t recognize my account. I went through this last month for over a week. Finally had succe
- [R46] FollowMyHealth® Unusable: With my correct password and user name I get nothing but messages like “sorry something’s gone wrong” with no next step to help. Using the contact form the same thing happens. And no one answers the phone number provided. Completely useless. Im waiting for important information thats posted to my account that I can’t access. This app is a joke and the company obviously doesn’t want to h
