The last time I had tickets to an afternoon Pirates game I had to park in the Strip District, because I couldn’t find any available parking in town. I used the ParkWhiz app to prepay and reserve parking in the Gateway Center Garage, an easy walk to PNC Park. It worked great!

As others reported- once app loads doesn’t even give a chance to enter any credentials, goes straight to “sorry cannot verify”. App then sits there and does nothing with a mostly blank screen. Once your account is set up, you’ve added your vehicles, and you have a regular place that you like to park, it’s two clicks and you have your parking pass. It takes me 15 seconds to buy a new pass when I need one. They are also responsive to disputes or other issues.

After paying for a parking space, I still received a ticket even though I paid through the app. So I paid for parking and still received a $15 parking ticket. The app clearly showed the spot was paid for during the time I was ticketed.

Today, I paid $60 for a spot that would have only been $30 if I paid upon arrival. It’s an easy app to use and easy to transfer the pass, but it should not cost double to use this app.

Limited support/coordination with local parking authorities, even for simple issues, makes for a frustrating experience, especially given that this has become a more popular payment option.

It’s an unhelpful bot that, when links to FAQ pages don’t solve your problem, then tells you there is actually no live chat. Don’t call it “chat” or else let people know when they start that you don’t provide agents or actual support. Have issues paying for parking? You’re on your own.
