- [R20] Moovit Honestly a great app for public transport users: Top tier app tells me what routes to take and is up to date on which routes aren’t in use. It’s basically like Google Maps but will just tell you which bus to take and when.
- [R61] Citymapper Frequently misleading between connections: The app doe as well as the local options from stop to stop, but falls flat when on foot. Frequently sends you off in the wrong direction then changes destination resulting missed connections and much frustration.
- [R65] Citymapper Top notch: Works better than any of the other 3 apps on my phone for directions. Really helpful for mass transit. Shows you all routes and is timely on updates
- [R77] Citymapper New City? Use Citymapper!: Citymapper was indispensable on my recent two week trip to France and Spain. Directions are extremely precise (down to which subway cars were the closest to the best exit at your final stop), different options are presented (along with timing and cost), and the layout is clean. My only (minor) gripe is that if you search for something with multiple locations (like a st
- [R10] Moovit Unreliable and full of ads: Not only is this app wrong with ETAs constantly, but it’s impossible to navigate because of the incessant advertisements.
- [R36] Moovit Alright: App is ok. It’s free so ads are expected but the amount of un skippable ads with exit buttons that are so tiny is too much. The live bus feature used to be pretty solid but never seems to work
- [R70] Citymapper Crashes: Was an okay app when it worked, not as good as google maps. But now it just crashes every time I open it.
- [R119] Citymapper Accurate and user friendly: I love using this app. I first used this when I was in Paris in 2024 and then learned it works in DC and other U.S. cities. I love that one app will update to the city you’re in and show you different options so you can see if walking, public transportation or another method is faster. Highly recommend!
- [R4] Moovit Inaccurate data: I’ve used this app since August of 2025 and it has never failed me until June. The bus data is inaccurate, the busses never arrive on the scheduled time and there’s NEVER accurate data. Fix your app!!
- [R28] Moovit Incorrect bus pick up times: The app always gives a time that is 5-10 minutes earlier than when the actual bus arrives so you have to stand and wait an extra 5-10 minutes
- [R76] Citymapper No real time capability and wrong schedules: I took a ride today from Seattle into the east side. I got an announcement that the bus was arriving and yet it was 10 minutes later when it finally showed up. Then the bus that I got on clearly showed in the app that it was going to continue until my home stop. Unfortunately, it stopped at a transit center did not go farther. I have to wait another 45
- [R85] Citymapper Inaccurate times: This app is inconsistent with its timing updates. You need to cross reference with other ones to verify its timing which makes it only as useful as the next navigation app. Update: if I could give this app a rating lower than one I would - the inconsistent timing updates will cause you to be late.
- [R22] Moovit The ads: I get the free version needs ads, but why so damn many? It’s every other thing I do there’s an ad. Are you all really that low on funds that we have to see ads every time we do anything in this app? I’ve nearly missed crucial information waiting on the ads to finish if they don’t freeze the app and forces me to exit and hope I’m at the right bus stop. Man I hate how corporate decisions ki
- [R63] Citymapper I’ve been using the app for 10 years: I love that the app tells you which train car to go into for the smoothest transfer and for exiting at your destination station. Also a fan of the route options. However! Because I refuse to pay to remove ads I’ve noticed predatory behaviour by this app where adds are clicked even when your fingers go nowhere close to that ad. This kind of behaviour isn’t rig
- [R64] Citymapper Used to be my favorite free app: Now it’s a pile of steaming… It’s slow to load, the train times are often wrong. It locks up, even on my brand new phone. Overall, it’s so freaking aggravating
- [R89] Citymapper Actually keeps up with buses and trains: Consistently offers better transportation options and is better at real time tracking of buses and trains
- [R3] Moovit Great until it’s not: The app worked great at first for paying for busses until it blocked my account for no particular reason. No one answers the support phone number so there appears to be no way to fix it.
- [R25] Moovit Ticket disappeared: I inputted my email and phone number and the ticket was never sent to either and it took my money. Terrible customer service I called and they drag you on with robots for 5 mins until eventually ending the call and saying you can find everything on their website.
- [R73] Citymapper Poor Usability, UX, UI: The app still seems like there are no more designers working on it as it rarely changes yet has major use ability problems. If you pay for the app, there’s no customization. Turbo mode for example, cannot be set as a default, and it is not even visible on the screen, and you cannot rearrange the different custom options that you paid for. What’s worse is working on a trip p
- [R112] Citymapper Abuses live activities notifications: This app takes over your Dynamic Island and won’t let go until you uninstall it. Apple should be able to Han that behaviour. There’s seemingly no way to remove it from the ‘live notifications’ mode even when you’re not on a trip. It used to be a great app 10 years ago but it’s turned into a data-sucking, customer-nagging operation. Bus times are inaccurate in
