JetBlue vs Expedia
Expedia is the better choice for booking travel due to its broader utility and generally more reliable booking experience, despite some pricing and customer service issues, while JetBlue's app is plagued by numerous functional bugs and airline-specific frustrations.
Expedia offers a more comprehensive and generally reliable platform for booking various travel components, often at competitive prices, though users report occasional issues with pricing discrepancies and customer support. JetBlue's app, while praised for its core booking functionality by some, is frequently criticized for persistent bugs, login problems, and issues related to managing existing flights and loyalty points.
Head to head
you are a loyal JetBlue customer who primarily uses the app for basic flight search and booking, and you are willing to tolerate frequent bugs and potential frustrations with check-in or loyalty points R6.
you need a comprehensive travel booking app for flights, hotels, and excursions, and you prioritize ease of navigation and potentially lower initial prices, even if it means navigating occasional pricing discrepancies or customer service challenges R65.
Evidence note: JetBlue's reviews are heavily skewed towards app functionality issues and frustrations with the airline's services, often conflating the two. Expedia's reviews also include many comments about the quality of specific hotels or excursions booked through the app, which are not directly related to the app's performance but reflect the overall user experience with the service.

- [R6] JetBlue Generally Good: This app does much of what is intended: it allows you to search and book flights easily. Where it fails is in flight check-in. Most of the time, it doesn’t allow the check-in to happen with a snappy message: It’s not you, it’s us! Well, if it’s you, then FIX IT! And it does this for most of the flights I have taken.
- [R11] JetBlue Jet blue !!: I love jet blue but the app has been very slow lately and I’m just not feeling the same love for the app as much as l love jet blue
- [R17] JetBlue Good for booking: This app is mostly great, the thing I put a star down for is that it needs full access to my calendar to add a flight, it should only need add only. Why you need to view my full calendar? Seems a bit sus.
- [R18] JetBlue Where is Best Fare Finder: Why is best fare finder missing on the app.
- [R10] JetBlue Unreliable and the reason I’ avoiding JetBlue in the future as a result: App started having tons of issues displaying my boarding pass while going through customs/tsa (i had cell and internet connection) and made what should have been a normal flying experience extremely stressful. This was our first time with Jet Blue and due to their app it will likely be our last
- [R12] JetBlue Does what it needs to, but buggy: Usual airline app. View trips, book trips, “featured content” ads. Nothing special. Gets the job done. There’s a bug where it always shows one notification badge on the app icon, and when you tap on the envelope on the main screen, the app crashes.
- [R15] JetBlue Forced to log in again when searching flights - poor user experience: Latest app update forces you to log in every single time you want to search for flights - even if you check off save my info. I’m already logged into the app so why do I need to log in when searching for flights! This is time consuming and frustrating. It’s now better to use your website than your app. Please consider reverting
- [R1] JetBlue Misleading: This JetBlue app is terrible, especially for people using the JetBlue Key Blue credit card. You spend thousands of dollars earning points, only to open the app and realize most flights are blacked out or unavailable to book with points. What’s the point of pushing a rewards credit card if the rewards are nearly impossible to use? The whole experience feels misleading and extremely frus
- [R7] JetBlue Your carryon is not allowed: The campaign says the carryon is free. But you don’t allow it in the plane for many groups. You are deceiving the people with your ads. I am never flying on JetBlue again
- [R39] JetBlue Travel bank: Book a trip three months in advance. Made a mistake lost almost $1000 in one day. They put the money in travel bank account which expires after one year and is virtually impossible to access. Feels scam.
- [R65] Expedia Best Deals: I love the ease of navigating the App.. always happy with the prices I pay.
- [R4] JetBlue Broken seatback screen: The online customer service for Jetblue is useless for reporting broken equipment on flights. Don't bother using it for that.
- [R34] JetBlue Always erroring: This app is always constantly not working. I always get errors trying to check in and chat can’t help you and it says to call and when you call they say they can’t check you in you have to do it at the airport. Very frustrating.
- [R53] JetBlue good and horrible: the app sux. auto fill boxes, like names of airports, won't fill in... call line is a useless bot. horrible coding and experience avoid like the plague
- [R64] Expedia Customer: Horrible customer service
- [R44] JetBlue Can’t Check In: The app does fine until it’s time to check in for my flight. Then, once I’ve gone through all the steps, it fails right at the end and says “Oops! It’s not you, it’s us.” That’s adding an unnecessary layer of stress to our travel today.
- [R78] Expedia Stop price gouging please :): The site itself is intuitive and easy to use but the prices and price jumps are ridiculous all companies use our data and raise prices accordingly. Your website will tell me one price and I will go to checkout and the price is vastly different
- [R83] Expedia Airfares: Expedia gives the best price on reliable airlines - the site is established and reliable
- [R94] Expedia Gives you one price but always is higher in the end: The past few times I went to book it gives you one price but when you check out it always seems to go up by a lot had good luck before but now it’s just a joke
- [R16] JetBlue Extremely buggy 2026-06-24: Sign with 2FA causes screen loop. Name field when booking a flight is uneditable.
- [R20] JetBlue App stopped accepting two factor code: Need help. Keyboard doesn’t appear to insert code
- [R29] JetBlue App does not show dashboard: For some reason, whenever I go into the dashboard or any of my settings for my profile the app never works. I keep getting asked to login and when I do it brings me right back. Very frustrating.
