  1. [R6] The Wall Street Journal. News 3/5 · US no comments: I don’t get why this app doesn’t let you leave comments, only on the website. It’s 2024, how hard can it be to add such a basic feature to the app?
  2. [R9] The Wall Street Journal. News 3/5 · US So-called issue download doesn’t work: I tried to download the most recent issue before getting on a plane (which had no WiFi), but the so-called download let me read only about half the articles. Half the articles only showed an error message that I needed to have internet access. A far superior download capability was eliminated when the WSJ app was overhauled a couple of years ago. Pleas
  3. [R10] The Wall Street Journal. News 1/5 · US Can’t login with Sign In With Apple: I’ll change this rating once this is fixed, but I’ve subscribed to the app but can’t login with Sign In With Apple! I’ve tried over and over on multiple devices. It takes me to the Safari browser, I select my account, it signs in and stays on a blank page. It doesn’t take me back to the app, and the app stays signed out. I’m extremely frustrated with this!
  4. [R63] NYTimes 3/5 · US Photos: Ideally I would like to zoom into the NYT photos in an article. Sometimes it’s possible if I tap on the individual photo then I’m able to pinch-in to see details, however this is lot possible all the time. Not sure why.
  5. [R7] The Wall Street Journal. News 2/5 · US SLOW: This app just keeps hanging up. I don’t know if they’re doing it intentionally to force you to look at ads, but I can’t get through a single article without it hanging up. Updates seem to make no difference, and I’m on fiber, so not a bandwidth issue.
  6. [R21] The Wall Street Journal. News 3/5 · US App is ruining the WSJ experience: I read the Journal every day, making it my primary source for news which I’ve trusted for decades. I switched from newsprint to the app maybe 15 years ago, preferring its portability and searchability. The “Define” function is great, since every issue has a word or two I don’t know. The app itself, though, is buggy and inconsistent. Every few months an update b
  7. [R51] The Wall Street Journal. News 3/5 · US Buggy App: I like the WSJ, but the app needs some work. When I open the app, it takes a while to update the latest news. I have to sit there staring at the old news until it finally reloads. It will also glitch while I’m scrolling through the main feed, where it suddenly shifts way down. Then it takes me a while to go back and find the article I was going to click on.
  8. [R67] NYTimes 2/5 · US Slower: The app is now slower and buggier than it was before. Please fix
  9. [R1] The Wall Street Journal. News 1/5 · US Opt out bug: If you don’t choose “accept all” it goes into a terminal holding pattern that requires that I delete the app. Until this is fixed, I have to use the browser for content.
  10. [R40] The Wall Street Journal. News 1/5 · US Broken: App won’t load. VPN not the issue. Web version only option until this is fixed.
  11. [R46] The Wall Street Journal. News 1/5 · US Bait and switch: Beware. If you click on article and can’t access and subscribe, it may charge you for a service that does not include the article or only gives a Barron’s online subscription. Do not buy anything through this app. Customer service does not care and will ignore the issue.
  12. [R82] NYTimes 2/5 · US Constantly freezing and crashing WTF!: Can’t beat the content, if you can get to it. Most days you’re lucky to get to read two articles before the “Opps, something went wrong” box starts popping up instead. And if you try to just read it in the browser you’ll have to get a code sent every time you click on a new story because you’re stuck with the app open and that means you’re using “multiple de
  13. [R28] The Wall Street Journal. News 1/5 · US WSJ App now just a con game: News content is no longer accessible via the iPhone app. Regardless of an active subscription, every attempt to read beyond the headlines will be met with a screen demanding the purchase of an additional $39 monthly subscription. There are ample legitimate news options available via iTunes apps. If you truly need to read WSJ, try a print subscription.
  14. [R34] The Wall Street Journal. News 1/5 · US Poly market ads: Get rid of them. I pay for a subscription, I don’t need to see gambling ads here as well
  15. [R36] The Wall Street Journal. News 3/5 · US Love the WSJ, don’t love Ads.: I am disappointed that the app has ads, even when offline. I am a paying member of the Wall Street journal, and I don’t find it respectable that you guys choose to have banner ads in app.
  16. [R76] NYTimes 2/5 · US All Access?!?: I have an All Access digital account, yet when I login via a web browser, I receive a message stating I only have access to certain free articles. Via the iOS NYT app, I have been trying to send a gift article to my sister for a few days and keep receiving an error message. I tried logging into the web version and can’t even access the article! I tried contacting the NY Times, but c
  17. [R85] NYTimes 1/5 · US Constant asking to verify or upgrade subscription: I pay for a subscription but am constantly asked to upgrade my subscription to a family plan. Also if I log in on a computer o constantly need to verify through email which is annoying.
