- [R3] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes OK. Integrates well with AI.: Not that great at identifying names of speakers. My hope is that it would identify a voice and give it a speaker number, but you have to go in and label every speaker even when it’s the same person and you’ve already given them a label. Also, I have not figured out a way to crop transcripts so if you record longer than you meant to, you can’t crop that part out.
- [R5] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Very helpful: I’ve used the transcript feature to create minutes. Very helpful.
- [R8] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes CRO: Fantastic product. Been using it for a while. As someone that is constantly in meetings, not only is the basic AI transcription fantastic, the image capture feature is often indispensable as it gives you instant context to what you were discussing without having to go find materials.
- [R12] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Cannot export text and picture together: Cannot export pictures and text together in one file with pictures in the correct time stamp and location - which is how it appears in the app. This makes it very difficult for use for serious user: I don’t get what I see in the app.
- [R6] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Best Assistant Ever: This application is the best and most helpful tool to capture notes and deliverables in my meetings. It’s always accurate and detailed.
- [R10] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes No longer works: No longer works at all and I don't even pick up the audio file see there's nothing there when there is
- [R11] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes OTTER IS HOTTER: Best tool for hands-free note taking in the market hands down.
- [R13] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Nonsense: This app was transcribing all sorts of nonsense in a meeting. Luckily I checked early on to make sure it was on and saw it otherwise I would have utterly screwed. I’d really appreciate my refund asap I’ve left the transcribing in the app if you don’t believe me. Absolutely rubbish
- [R9] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Meh: Recording meetings and getting a transcript in AI you can ask questions to. It's helpful, don't get me wrong, but Vaught has let that be their ace, and they really haven't made a very good user experience. • If you go to hit record, you can't start recording immediately. • If you have a calendar event distinct, you've got to choose what meeting the recording is before it starts capturing a
- [R24] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes First time user: I thought it would be easier and more concise using this App there are no prompts to assist with set up nor guide to use. I asked if it can record phone calls and it pointed me to help? Is there somewhere it shows how to set up different events?
- [R2] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Very capable - but must watch their pricing: Otter is very capable, but there is increasing competition in this space and they must watch their pricing if they’re not to be superseded. Worth also checking out Notta, which appears to be the main competitor.
- [R4] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes How did this happen?: Somehow this app popped up and does its thing, but I do not want it, nor need it, nor know how to use it. How do I stop $$$?
- [R7] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Frightened!: After reading reviews and seeing $106 and realizing how many people have been jerked around for the so-called “free trial”… also, seeing the less than stellar performance that delivers when my subscription to AI already provides me as much discernment in as many options as I really (thank you ChatGPT) I decided to close from my phone for the time being. If I become aware of improvemen
- [R15] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes 90 min limit nightmare: An alarm to warn when the 90min limit is approaching would be useful! Otherwise it does a remarkable job of making sense of the gobbledegook.
- [R16] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Fraud charges: I’ve been charged two times on two separate cards. Contacted this app twice on the contact form on the website and had no response. All subscriptions were cancelled. Developer asked me to send a request through a link - this has been done 3 times already.
- [R22] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Always seems to be off line: This app takes ages to deliver anything from a transcribed meeting. No way of getting in touch with anyone and constantly says it is not connected to the internet. Rubbish
- [R32] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes It’s caused chaos: The whole of our company are now caught up in the automatic AI feature which attaches to meetings. We have had complaints from clients that this are being recorded without permission and thus lead from I tusk if the product by me on two calls It’s a hazard and a nightmare to find away to get a response from anyone
- [R48] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes No support: App WAS good, but there is no support. All you get is access to a useless AI chat that can’t help you but suggests articles, or the option to “raise a support ticket” which doesn’t get actioned. And the joke of it is I was trying to upgrade to the business subscription. What a joke. Will use another app.
- [R19] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Terrible don’t buy: Bought a subscription and I’ve used to try and transcribe notes. Awful results and have had to manually record them onto my iPhone and use their note app to transcribe. Which is free and 20x better than Otter.
- [R21] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Good app, but transcript needs work: Like this program a lot but, the transcript that you receive after recording a meeting or just general recording straight from Otter has so many errors that it’s very difficult to then use AI to produce a summary document of your meeting, because the words are incorrect. It also fails to automatically distinguish between different people’s voices when denoting
- [R40] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Ed: Don’t like the time limit of transcriptions. I need them for lectures as a disabled student and it’s a barrier.
- [R43] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Recording: This app, Records categorizes summarizes everything that I said, and I really like that feature You have great recording time with the free version.
- [R20] Otter Transcribe Voice Notes Too expensive: I like the AI service but I find it expensive because some months I don’t use it at all but lose all the minutes and some months I use it heavily and run out of minutes. So would be great if our minutes could be rolled over.
