Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets vs GetYourGuide
Go City is better for travelers who want an all-inclusive pass to save money on multiple attractions, while GetYourGuide excels for booking individual tours and activities with strong customer support.
Go City offers passes for multiple attractions, potentially saving money, but users often face issues with booking, availability, and app glitches. GetYourGuide provides a wide array of individual tours and activities, generally praised for ease of use and good customer service, though some users report issues with third-party operators and cancellations.

Evidence note: Go City has a significant number of negative reviews related to the actual usability and value of its passes, despite some positive experiences with savings. - [R1] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Not what it seems…: If you have the Go City New York explorer pass please be aware at Madison Square Garden is usually sold out so when you show up, you can’t get tickets for the same day and you’re only allowed to get tickets for the same day. Madison Square Garden sells its own tickets and it seems like whatever leftover tickets for that day can be allocated to Go City past users. This is not st
- [R2] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Totally awesome saving: I got ticket for all attractions all inclusive deals in great price
- [R4] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Not Worth It: It doesn't deliver value for the money. Dealing with 3rd parties outside of the app is an obnoxious chore.
- [R5] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Good option: Some attractions are cheaper this way. Beware that the passes might not allow you to get to full activities in dome places like the spyscape, nor get to the pedestal Or crown of the statue of liberty. But still a good option.
- [R6] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets A bit unclear: I struggled because the activation method wasn't written anywhere. It's affordable and good for long-term stays, and I think people will enjoy it. · translated
- [R8] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets So easy to use: So easy to use. All of the locations knew what it was it was accepted with out a problem .
- [R10] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Good for showing your pass only: The option to plan your trip is awful. You can’t move stuff around and it’s very clunky. This would be such a great app if you could actually easily do that. Other than that it’s just good for showing your pass.
- [R12] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Glitchy and reloads constantly: The app is glitchy. On initial load- the app looks like it’s struggling to refresh and it’s stuck on a loop doing so.
- [R13] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Wish I Could Give Go City Negative Stars: Please be prepared to miss out on most of the attractions that are supposedly included and spend more in the process. Many of the attractions were already unavailable after we purchased our Go City pass, which you cannot know until after you buy this pass. The attractions that were available were listed as included in the app, however this is misleading be
- [R22] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Wasted hundreds: I was planning a trip to San Diego. I did an entire week of researching making sure this wasn’t a scam and choosing what we wanted to do. Decided to choose the one that had the aquarium, uss midway, San Diego zoo and San Diego zoo safari. Bought a 3 day pass for just under $500. We did the midway and aquarium yesterday. Drove 45 min this morning to do the safari today and zoo tomo
- [R24] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets No Disclaimer on certain Reservations: The GoCity pass has no disclaimer or forewarning on being able to reserve a 10pin Chicago Bowling after 6pm. We were denied access because it was 8pm. Also you cannot reserve times for the 360 Chicago either, had to go their website to find out the hard way. Other than that, GoCity Pass was amazing and worked on all the attractions, but just failed to leave s
- [R9] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Good: The GoCity pass saved me money based on the attractions given. The problems I have encountered with the pass are that the description is not correct on some of the attractions. For example, the Rouge show says 9pm on Mondays and they did not have that performance available on Mondays. The Las Vegas Bar Crawl says that you get a drink at the bar stops but it was only 1/2 price drinks which is
- [R11] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Overpriced: No way you can get your money’s worth out what is being charged. Simple math. I was charged $100 USD for a one day pass. Each museum charges $15 to enter. You can’t possibly see 4 a day particularly when open from 10 to5. Also thought I was getting a 5 day pass. Only find out it was only for 1. The money back guarantee is out after the first day. After that you are out of luck.
- [R44] Go City -Travel Plan & Tickets Great Value: I was a little skeptical that booking activities would be easy, but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to book events. Highly recommend giving this app a chance. I easily saved $500 over the span of just two days.
- [R63] GetYourGuide Was #1 fan until this trip…: I was loving this company and app…booking on average over a dozen tours each summer vacation to Europe and telling anyone who would listen how superior they were to Viator. Fast forward to this trip to Italy, I started with 14 bookings. We were on a 11 hour flight from states to first leg in journey (Frankfurt Germany) and upon landing I received an email that they’d c
- [R65] GetYourGuide Always comes through: I used gyg multiple times in the last few weeks for excursions and tours. It’s great for coming up with things to do in your area. Every time, it has worked like a charm from meeting point to starting time and so forth. It seems to be cheaper than the viator options but I don’t really know for sure. Anyway, reliable
- [R75] GetYourGuide Get you Guide & Operator Communication: Showed up at meeting point for tour and it had been rescheduled to hour and half later. Despite getting constant reminders in 19 AM meeting time . Tour operated indicated they tried to reach us . Idk - strange to get continuous reminders from Get Your Guide if your operator changed time 🥴
- [R80] GetYourGuide Accurate and Easy to Book: Been using GetGuide for any international or domestic trips. Awesome and easy transactions
- [R61] GetYourGuide Marketing forzado: Te fuerzan a descargar la aplicación si quieres ver los tickets que compraste en Internet.
- [R99] GetYourGuide Forces an app on you: All I want are my tickets, but the app doesn't send the verification code to my email. Fine I will make an account on this app I did not want or need to download. Very agitating
- [R101] GetYourGuide Our expensive boat tour cancelled last minute.: Waiting on the refund; so maybe the Marseille boat trips are not reliable or vetted on this app. Also having to download the app to get the tickets you paid for and directions to meetup is extremely not cool.
