Nike vs Finish Line
For a more reliable shopping experience with better customer support, Finish Line has a slight edge over Nike, despite both apps facing significant technical issues.
Both Nike and Finish Line apps struggle with technical glitches, especially during new product releases and with login/verification processes. Finish Line users, however, report better customer service and more consistent order fulfillment, while Nike users express frustration with recent app redesigns and navigation.
Head to head
Pick Nike if you are deeply invested in the Nike brand and its specific product ecosystem, and are willing to tolerate frequent app updates and potential navigation issues for access to exclusive releases and customization options R2R11.
Pick Finish Line if you prioritize finding good deals and a wide selection of sneakers, and are looking for a shopping experience that, despite its glitches, is generally supported by responsive customer service for order issues R112.
Evidence note: Both apps have a high volume of negative recent reviews, particularly concerning technical issues and order fulfillment, which contrasts with their high lifetime ratings. The evidence for customer support is stronger for Finish Line, with more specific examples of both good and bad experiences, while Nike's support is mentioned less frequently but negatively.

- [R2] Nike Great but one thing: I really like this app and it’s one of my favorites. I really like the selection and good things that they have. There are a few things about that I think could be fixed on to make it work better first off the NikeAI I really like it but it’s really hard to tell that it’s actually trying to tell you if you ask it like when’s this gonna go on sale or something like that it’ll j
- [R10] Nike new app update: the new app update made it impossible to find the for sale section. overall the flow of the main homepage is not intuitive. the app redesign looks like it was made by ai.
- [R11] Nike Here’s on thing: In my opinion I love the Ja 3s but with the Nike by you then need to add more colors and you should be able to customize the J and the A and for the colors maybe make a rainbow wheel were you can make a color for your self and also make some shiny ones and it would make more people want to make their own and they made something that made them happy. Just add more things to custom
- [R13] Nike New Browse Is Terrible: Ugh this last update made it near impossible to navigate. I can’t find anything as easily as I could. What are these categories anyways… just basketball, sportswear, running, soccer, training? What even is the purpose of the home tab? To have tab navigation then within one of those tabs you have a dropdown with more categories. What were you thinking product managers?
- [R3] Nike Update app: It sad that one has to update constant to meet the criteria of a phone. Just fix the bug and leave the upgrade alone. Not everyone wants to update their phones. This is why people rather go with Android than being with IPhone and their rules. There was nothing wrong with the other versions. For this I will no longer serve my money and time to buy from NIKE. It does not serve my purpose
- [R19] Nike Content Overload: I find it extremely difficult to shop on the Nike app as it overloaded with content. It would be nice to have a healthy balance of content and products. The current format makes it difficult to just search for products.
- [R1] Nike Great for Shopping annoying for Alerts: Functionally wise, this is a good app. However, when you try to filter on just men’s clothing, it does not show you only men’s items. The most annoying thing with this app is when you delete messages you still have a red circle on the app icon on your home screen. I think they do this on purpose to get you to go back into the app. But it never removes those
- [R4] Nike The app doesn’t send the confirmation code: The app doesn’t work
- [R7] Nike Why is it bad: It wouldn’t even send the code and I’m trying to get In but your app cause me madness and I’m piss and I don’t understand why your app doesn’t give me the code
- [R9] Nike Nike App: Please add a “Sign in with Apple” option. The current login process is frustrating because I have to sign in and then go to my email every time to retrieve a passcode. Using Apple Sign-In would make the experience much faster, smoother, and more convenient.
- [R12] Nike todo agotado: mi pregunta es para que tienen la app si la mayoria de los zapatos lo tienen agotado? que les pasa se supone que deberían tener disponible algo xd
- [R21] Nike Do better: I love nike but when there is a limited edition and Im waiting weeks to get the drop. I place my order within less than 5 seconds and I still don’t get it. It gets annoying when it happens over and over.
- [R30] Nike Never get latest drops: No matter if I’m right on the app, click on my notification, submit my payments. It always say i didn’t get it sold out.. no matter what I try.
- [R34] Nike This app is a lie: Tried to order some shoes. said I could order them at 10 A.M. when the shoes dropped had a reminder and I was on the app. Second before 10 A.M. had my pre card Installed & address. Pick my size and press pay and it wouldn’t process my payment. Five minutes later. All the shoes was sold out. I could’ve went to the store and got them instead. Garbage.
- [R6] Nike Bugs: I was seeking help because when I customized a pair of shoes the app reverted the color to something I didn’t order . The feature to talk with representatives sucks. The representative closed the chat without allowing you to respond. My rep name was Selina
- [R37] Nike Drop product NIKE MIND 001: Drop product NIKE MIND 001 3 times i try to buy from the first colour, i klick just 10.00am after that pending payment. And thens sold out. You just kiding bro!! No need drop that thing in apps. Just sell all them to your resseler mtf
- [R20] Nike Great but I need help: The Nike app is great there are so many shoes and clothing that u love but i haven’t been able to access it because it won’t let me sign in or sign up anymore because it says “error user not able to access” if anyone can help em out with that please help me
- [R112] Finish Line Shoes: I buy a lot of shoes for my whole family from here. Online orders normally come early with standard shipping or at least on time. if I ever have any problems with online shipments, I can go to the store and they will always help me figure it out, exchange shoes or whatever it is that I need with no problem.
- [R115] Finish Line Horrible company: You can never chat with an associate, emails come back that they are not taking them and when I call I keep getting hung up on and never connected with customer care! Placed an order and never received it and can not get ahold of anyone in customer care. Do not buy from this horrible company!
- [R117] Finish Line App and customer service is horrible: We ordered shoes about a month ago, never received them. Finally got through to customer service after calling for 4 days. They cancelled that order and said we would receive a refund. They also gave us a $20 coupon. Went to order the shoes again and tried to use the $20 and just kept getting a error code. Tried calling them again and was on hold for an hour
