I don’t think anyone needs the temperature readings for every surrounding town at our location. It’s been like this for years. I also doubt anyone goes on the weather radar to see the temperatures of all those surrounding towns.

The not so good, weathet underground does not have a widget, you always have to open the app and go to the map, enlarge the map and find the closest weather station to get the closest temperature.
