With the sheer number of bugs, the app feels more like BuzzFeed than a serious financial news platform. There’s embarrassing, and then there’s this.
11. [R6] 1/5 · US App is broken: While it’s always been a little buggy, the latest update broke the app so that you can not click a link to get to an underlying story. No links work at all. If you close the app and relaunch it repeatedly, you can get it to work for a couple of minutes, before it locks up again. Please fix this. And test before you deploy. I am on iOS 26.5.1 on an iPhone 17 Pro

Too many clicks and once you’re listening, it’s awful having to restart after taking a phone call (if it’s longer than 60 seconds). You cannot just hit play. You have to kill the app, navigate back to audio, then hit play one or two times, listen to a whole new ad, then you’re back.

The live media section does not work 100% of the time, which is very frustrating when you paid to obtain current market information via its shows (Bloomberg Surveillance, etc.). The app also on occasion unexpectedly quits / freezes. Bloomberg LP should be able to do better.

Customers are paying hundreds of dollars for a subscription, and you’re putting a 15-second advertisement in front of their 50-second video? Ridiculous. Even without the advertising, it gets 4 stars because Yahoo Finance has better charting.

[R330] 3/5 · GB Needs some optimization: The app is great in terms or news and tracking the markets but it definitely needs some optimization as it can be quite clunky in places and needs quite a bit of time to load even when just swiping through pages. I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max which is about as powerful as an iPhone can be but the app can still be quite rigid and slow.

I subscribed in the app and it won’t let me link to my Bloomberg account and still puts up an error that I’m using the wrong Apple account.

Stop grabbing my audio feed and doing nothing with it! If I want to watch a video or audio, let me click a button. Also, who is going to wait and watch a 30sec ad to watch a 15sec clip? Make your ads shorter if you want more impressions

It’s impossible to find certain authors, try finding Matt Levine’s newsletter on the app. It’s also impossible to click on a byline to view all articles by a reporter. The website already supports both these features. I’m not sure why the app can’t do the same.

The back button also sits on top of the iPad close or shrink window size button so sometimes when you want to go back you end up closing the app. It used to work fine.

Also, the back arrow is so close to Apples new window controls (minimize, close, maximize) so you have to repeatedly try to get it right. Together this makes it really annoying to use and so I now go to Bloomberg after reading
