The software reads the name “Al,” short for Albert, as two letters “A” and “I”, as in Artificial Intelligence. I wish there was an option to change the “pronunciation” of something that the program really messes up.

It’s amazing being able to upload a pdf for it to read to me. I uploaded the copy of my textbook and have been using it to read to me while I read along and it’s greatly helping with my comprehension and focus.

I was charged for buying the book. And it only gave me 2 chapters. I was already into chapter 7. APP advertises are extremely misleading. Cancelling immediately.

Actually made plenty of mistakes, like not reading entire sections of a document for reasons I could not understand. If the pages are thin, it picks up the pages from the opposite side and reads them backwards. The free voices are very flat and monotone and the paid version is very expensive.

She sounds exactly like AI and speaks too fast even at the slowest speed having her read a book is useless with her fast, nasal toneless voice. It appears if you want a decent voice you have to pay a month monthly fee. Unless you want to do this, don’t bother to download books unless you intend to read them and not listen to them
