- [R3] ParkWhiz Overpriced: I have 2 situations now where I have booked my parking on this app and I have paid more in the app than if I just paid in the lot/ramp. Today, I paid $60 for a spot that would have only been $30 if I paid upon arrival. It’s an easy app to use and easy to transfer the pass, but it should not cost double to use this app.
- [R12] ParkWhiz Needs Work: The search feature is essentially useless. The app will not let you scroll to the event you are searching for.
- [R63] Metropolis Needs Work: The app can be glitchy, sometimes it will recognize I am at a lot and sometimes it doesn’t. Even the QR Code requires me to scan it twice because the app will open but not bring up the option to pay for your parking even though it shows you in the lot. There are also payment issues, I had to call to have my payment methods removed and re add them just to get my payment to go through, e
- [R67] Metropolis No service? get charged an extra $50: Absolutely trash, “drive in drive out” is a total lie. Cause if you drive into a lot with no internet service you can’t start a parking session. And rather than notify you about that unlogged session asap, which they CAN do considering they have a WHOLE APP that has your license and contact information, they wait 3 months to tell you and charge an extra $50 on
- [R2] ParkWhiz Worked great!: I just used the ParkWhiz app for the first time, for an afternoon Pittsburgh Pirates baseball game. The last time I had tickets to an afternoon Pirates game I had to park in the Strip District, because I couldn’t find any available parking in town. I used the ParkWhiz app to prepay and reserve parking in the Gateway Center Garage, an easy walk to PNC Park. It worked great!
- [R14] ParkWhiz Fast and Easy.: This is an easy app to use. Once your account is set up, you’ve added your vehicles, and you have a regular place that you like to park, it’s two clicks and you have your parking pass. It takes me 15 seconds to buy a new pass when I need one. They are also responsive to disputes or other issues.
- [R69] Metropolis Deleted the stupid app: The app no longer takes me to a payment page. It takes me to a map to tell me that I’m where I already know where I am. But no option to pay. Support is a joke. To pay now, I just scan the QR code in my browser and it works fine.
- [R75] Metropolis Horrible UX and customer service is a joke ( bad AI): QR code wasn’t launching portal. Had to catch a train. Couldn’t verify if my car was automatically scanned or not. And couldn’t pay through the app or web portal. Insane that the QR code is the linchpin to this whole enterprise. Customer service is just AI slop and kicks the issue down the road assuring me “a team member will be in touch” .
- [R7] ParkWhiz Scam: They let Me book a parking spot but didn’t check that the parking lot was already completely full. Couldn’t park. Ended up showing late. Wasted gas. I tried to contact them through phone and app for a refund but they only let you speak to a simple, unhelpful bot. I had to do a charge back through my bank.
- [R39] ParkWhiz Huge Scam: This app sucks. I booked a reservation as I was graduating yesterday. When I arrived the venue was completely full and I had to make other arrangements. When I called the garage the attendant said Parking Whiz always does this and it's no good. People try to save money and end up paying more anyway. Luckily I found another garage down the block that had space. The worst part is that p
- [R96] Metropolis A literal dumpster fire of a company: metropolis is a GARBAGE company that scams people and REFUSES to give refunds. I have been incorrectly charged multiple times and they refuse to give me back my money, even though I had fully validated parking. I've seen kindergarteners better organized than this company.
- [R9] ParkWhiz Not sure if this is worth it: You can book a parking but they don’t guarantee the parking lot will have spots at the moment you start your reservation, sometimes you will have to park somewhere else and come back, which will eat your savings. Price is decent if you get a spot. In several parking lots the app tells you that you have to park but all of them have a valet. Last, service is terribl
- [R70] Metropolis Shady Tax Practices: Metropolis is a shady business that uses taxes to extort more money out of customers. The tax rate on Pittsburgh is .07, but from my last 3 subtotals of 7.27, 7.27, and 5.82 they’ve charged 1.23, .82 and 2.18 respectively. How do you have a variable tax rate we’re not only is the same subtotal given different amounts, but a lower amount is taxed almost 50%?
- [R80] Metropolis Charge you without warning: I wanted to get this app before my trip. It seemed promising. When I signed up it asked for a card, but made no mention of a pre authorization charge. Found out they charged my card $9 when I never even arrived. I just wanted to sign up to make it easier for travel purposes. It would’ve been nice to know they charge an authorization to the card on file. Why charge when
- [R5] ParkWhiz Customer Support is excellent.: I primarily use Parkwiz in Detroit for the last 4 years. Yes as with any App it occasionally has an issue. Like 3 in 4+ years. Each time I call support and they are courteous and just solve the issue. Not once have they failed. Great company to work with.
- [R34] ParkWhiz Great customer service when you have a question and need to speak with someone.: Awesome parking garages and service.
- [R108] Metropolis Worse customer service: Drive in drive out but keep an eye in how much they charge your credit card. Reached out to customer help because of an overcharge but they only provided info on how to get discount. Never got a refund nor addressed the issue. Next response was crickets.
- [R109] Metropolis THE WOOORRRRSTTTT: ZERO - 0 - STARS. Make that negative (-5) stars. This is the most terrible app. You would think they could handle billing for a monthly subscription and send a receipt, but they can't. Support is unhelpful. This is simple stuff. I WISH I wasn't forced to use this platform to park at my office.
