- [R9] TaxSlayer Ehh: The process was fairly easy and it was quick to use. But it doesn’t offer any of the options that other services do and that’s kind of annoying.
- [R19] TaxSlayer So complicated: It is to complicated. Hardest tax software that I have ever used. I'll be going back to TurboTax next year.
- [R22] TaxSlayer Free offer very misleading 😡: Took time to fill out every form, ready to file. Read through the “free” tier requirements carefully before I began. Ready to file, expecting it to be free only to be required to pay $71 total for Fed+State. Vague explanation that one of my tax credits requires the Classic package. But I didn’t even have credits reported and it wouldn’t specify what exactly was the is
- [R62] TurboTax Very helpful: I love turbo tax because they are trustworthy and easy. I’ve used turbo tax for years. The free version because my taxes are easy, no brainer every year until this year. I had a 1099. It made it a bit more difficult. They only thing I did Not like was the scare tactics they used to get me to upgrade upgrade upgrade. I barely made $27,000. and as you know that’s not much money for
- [R10] TaxSlayer Hard to navigate: Could not download or print returns for this year or previous years. Could not review return. Hope everything turns out ok You can’t go to a specified line , like line 20 on 1040. Wtf
- [R12] TaxSlayer File: I use TaxSlayer every year. But my complaint is I can never just download or print my documents. It just circles, no matter what device I’m on and then I have to close out app and log in again. Over and over with the same result.
- [R66] TurboTax Turbo Tax: File Your Tax Return: I’ve used TT for years to do my taxes myself. Haven’t had any problems but this year they filed mine with a $1400.00 mistake to my detriment. It really hurt because I was counting on that money to pay overdue bills with. They didn’t say sorry or even try to help be see what had been done incorrectly. 😭😭😭
- [R4] TaxSlayer Automatically Upcharged me: Charged me $140 dollars after I chose the $0 option does not make any sense and the customer service was no help in tracing the funds ! Not recommended
- [R16] TaxSlayer Terrible: Tax season is as predictable as it comes. If your systems can't handle the volume, you are clearly incompetent. Use TurboTax or something else that is actually available for use.
- [R46] TaxSlayer DO NOT USE: Do not use. Customer service is a joke and they tell you to use a web browser instead.
- [R64] TurboTax Ineffective support systems: I will not belabor the nightmare TurboTax put me through to correct a simple error that resulted in the IRS rejecting my taxes. An error created by the initial full service tax preparer. It took several hours over 4 days on the phone with half a dozen different people to complete a simple, trivial task. Needless to say, TurboTax clearly needs better customer relatio
- [R3] TaxSlayer Payment: I think $46.00 payment for a state return especially where I get zero money money back from the state and I’m 100% Disabled, I think is HORRIBLE!!!!!
- [R15] TaxSlayer Disappointed in the prize: I have been using TaxSlayer for over 10 years because it was easy and affordable. It is still very easy and clear for someone who is not an accountant to use. However, the price has more than doubled in the past year. I’m very disappointed that TaxSlayer is not keeping it affordable for those of us that worked very hard for our money
- [R61] TurboTax TOO EXPENSIVE!!!: H&R Block online is better!!! more of the forms that TurboTax charge are free on H&R Block. You don’t have to pay for filing unemployed income moving you from the free option to almost 100 bucks. Your better off going to an office and filing. Your getting ******* anyway, may as well have an actual person in the room.
- [R55] TaxSlayer Zero Customer Service: I have had 4 experiences with Taxpayers customer service. The first phone call I terminated after the girl who answered was hard to hear. I was nice, she became sarcastic. I cannot reset my password. Two emails unanswered. Lesson learned, Turbo Tax was awesome My taxes were not filed because of a matching soc security issue. Did research and others are having the same issue.
- [R120] TurboTax No real support: They transfer you around to support agents who can only walk you threw the site. I have screenshots of the webapp error I’m getting but it’s of no concern to them. I’ll just go find another tax place I guess. These people have poor quality control.
- [R75] TurboTax Scam-like Services (Be mindful investors): I used to have no problem using TurboTax, it was easy for me to file my own taxes. But if you find yourself getting caught up in clicking on assistance throughout your tax session you may find yourself getting charged extra for using TurboTax. I understand that you are utilizing a tool that is given to you and somewhere in the fine print that is the reaso
