- [R1] Lumosity Not Actually Free: Like Impulse and every single one of these apps, it's not actually free. You have a limited selection of things you can do unless you pay an unfair amount of money per month. Just make the app a one time purchase instead of lying about being free and helping.
- [R34] Lumosity The games are cool but not free: The games are fun, but 90% of the games on the app are locked. You have to pay to access more.
- [R61] MindPal Old content and can’t advance: The games are fun at first but then they get boring. They use the same puzzles over and over again, such as word search. There might be 10 word search puzzles that they cycle over and over and it’s so boring to solve the same things again and again. Also, you can get up to level 399/400 but it doesn’t seem like you can ever get to level 400. The scoring is also wo
- [R95] MindPal Great help for your memory: Very good and helpful for your memory. But it gets very repetitive. I have been using the app for a couple of years and they don’t change the games, always de same.
- [R9] Lumosity Maybe: Some games are great and too many don’t explain the how well enough. Its frustrating too often.
- [R40] Lumosity ANNOYING AS HELL!!!!!: If you use the free version, just get ready to rip your hair out because a lot of the games are pointless and annoying to try to figure out how to play. You can’t skip over them, you can’t quit them and you can’t bypass any. The free version only gives you three games a day to play which isn’t a big deal, but you have to play them in the order they give them to you with like
- [R70] MindPal Fun at first: I enjoyed it for quite a long time but then it became impossible to use due to the ads. Oh well.
- [R81] MindPal Too subscription based: It’s a great app, and I love all the games on it. But the requirement of a subscription for almost every feature after the first 2 or 3 days takes a way from a lot of the enjoyability of it. 3 stars for the app genuinely being enjoyable, 2 deducted becaus the subscription ruined it.
- [R10] Lumosity Not working at all: I have been using the paid this app for several years. However, in the past week I have not been able to log on, being sent in cereals by AI, not getting responses to my email, etc. VERY FRUSTRATED- PLEASE FIX THIS!
- [R31] Lumosity Lost 126 day streak: I lost my 126 day streak along with all my badges simply because I wanted to change my email address. Now they are acting as if I am brand new and having me start all over. Support is absolutely the worst I have ever dealt with.
- [R73] MindPal Scoring Is Off: While the games are entertaining and do give your brain a workout, they don’t let you level up past 98.7%-99.5%. They also have inconsistent scoring metrics 42,000 + on one game will put you at 385/400 but on another game you will be 399/400. No matter how high your score you will never achieve 400/400. I inquired about that to their customer service email and they just ignored me.
- [R106] MindPal Disappointed - not so much now: I used to really enjoy doing these games on a daily basis but I am disappointed that when you try to contact the developers because a glitch in the app has destroyed a 1645 day streak, no one gets back to you. The streak was a huge motivator to play daily, but the lack of concern by the developers has made me much less likely to continue. Good games like this also n
- [R12] Lumosity Paying 😔: I wish you didn’t have to pay to use Lumosity. Most people try to find websites to better them selves and we shouldn’t have to pay to do that
- [R52] Lumosity $20 jump in 1 year: Price hike with very little changes is not good customer service. I enjoy this app but this decision was not in the interest of the user. Not worth it.
- [R64] MindPal Not free: I'm not opposed to paid apps. I am opposed to dark UX that draws you in with a series of questions only to then present you with the option to pay; timed trials are designed with the expectation that you'll forget to cancel. Dark UX at its finest.
- [R43] Lumosity Cheated: While their games are fine, their service is not good. They deleted my account without consent or notification after I upgraded my subscription to premium. That left me without access to premium features. Now their solution is like create a new account and they will restore access to remainder duration of my subscription. Again, I have to create a new account they can not restore my old a
