RetailMeNot vs Save A Lot
RetailMeNot is generally more effective for finding discounts and earning cash back, despite some inconsistencies, while Save A Lot's app is largely criticized for its lack of pricing information and functionality.
RetailMeNot offers a broader range of coupons and cash back opportunities, though users report issues with code validity and cash back tracking. Save A Lot's app, while associated with a store known for good prices, is widely deemed unhelpful due to missing product prices and frequent technical problems.

- [R1] RetailMeNot No cash back: No cash back for 2026 purchases so far. I have made several orders since January. When I check back my purchases and then just found out they only accept missing cash back within 90 days of the purchase. This is so unacceptable. Going to uninstall the app.
- [R3] RetailMeNot Doesn’t always work: There are times I try to use the codes and they don’t work. But, sometimes they do. Hit or miss.
- [R4] RetailMeNot Not happy: Takes over a month or two to get your reward approved. I shop Walmart multiple times a week and somehow this app never acknowledges anything I order on Walmart…. Still waiting on Lowe’s reward from 6 weeks ago. Really irritating
- [R5] RetailMeNot Real Savings!: I started using this tool during Black Friday and Christmas sales last year. From Nov-Dec I managed to earn $106 back that I was able to cash right out and use for whatever I needed as soon as the New Year started. RetailMeNot is legit and I’m here for it!! Thank you for saving me money! -A Grateful Single Mom!!
- [R13] RetailMeNot 👎🏾: This app keeps crashing. Every time I open the app it glitches and closes it immediately. Please fix it.
- [R14] RetailMeNot Absolutely love it!!: RetailMeNot is just what the doctor ordered in saving! It’s so easy to use and unless you DON’T like saving money then it would be silly NOT to use it!
- [R25] RetailMeNot Keep my money: When I try to withdraw the money I have It does not let me log in on iPhone or google every time I try it keeps going to log in
- [R30] RetailMeNot Review: Too complicated, just let us order without all the ‘hoops’ we have to jump through.
- [R33] RetailMeNot Not fully accessible with voiceover: I could not find a way to contact Support, so I had to write this review. Many good aspects of app, but it is not fully accessible using voiceover. Nor is the website.
- [R34] RetailMeNot I'm Done: They did not inform users back in 2024 that there was a new minimum approved rewards that you have to have in order to cash out. If I had known this, I would have never made a purchase using their site. Now I got an email stating that on the 25th of February, my account will be subject to a $2 "maintenance fee" (MAJOR eye roll) for being inactive. They are basically stealing my money. Th
- [R66] Save A Lot Lost points bc of phone # change: Seems like a good app but had lots of points I couldn't redeem bc my cellphone # changed. Called customer service but they told me to sign out and make a new account?! So I never could save any money.
- [R15] RetailMeNot Most Don’t Work: Used for years and early on the codes mostly were legit. For many months now, the codes don’t work and see made up; like a person’s name plus a number. Very disappointing.
- [R16] RetailMeNot Codes don't work: They don't
- [R18] RetailMeNot It’s ok: Needs more updated coupons and in store ones as well. This app has been around so long it needs updates
- [R21] RetailMeNot Coupons: I have been using this for years but the couple has been disappointing with the in store coupons available. I still have my app but my two daughters removed theirs. So now when shop together I forget to even look.
- [R6] RetailMeNot Where’s my money???: I have shopped thru RMN for CVS.COM several times over the past few months and have received no money??? I also got a notification from CVS saying that I’m their #1 CVS.COM shopper in FL!!!! Where’s my money???? I save ALL of the emails from RMN stating that I activated them???
- [R67] Save A Lot Confusing: I like that save a lot has an app, but I don’t like the fact that it doesn’t disclose the prices on a lot of the products, making this app inferior to the apps like Dollar General or Walmart. If the app had this type of information about deals and pricing then I would shop there more often, but half the time I’m not sure if I’m getting a deal.
- [R81] Save A Lot Pricing?: If it had pricing it would be much more beneficial. I take pictures at the store so I can reference back to find the prices while I’m not in store.
- [R85] Save A Lot Kind of a pointless app: Why make me select a store just to show me a list of products and have every single one of them say "Visit store for pricing". Brother, if I wanted to visit the store, I wouldn't have downloaded the app. Just tell me how much the stuff costs.
- [R91] Save A Lot No prices on anything: No prices on anything ( see store) For price. , if I wanted to go to store I would not need app
