- [R5] Voice Dream Beats Speechify for academics!: Got this to read my research material for my PhD. Was working full time and taking care of my family. Voice dream’s bookmark and highlight feature allows you to tab sentences while on a run or a drive and lets you export only your tabbed text into a single txt file with the push of a button! Saves me weeks of time writing notes, trying to find them for papers/diss
- [R8] Voice Dream Mostly good, but voice selection is quite confusing: First of all, I would like to thank you for develope this app. At the beginning, the voice selection is very good: a clear button for playing sample and downloading. It vividly divides into category like American English, British English. But now, the voice selection is mixed up. I have to scroll a long list to find the voice I want.
- [R27] Voice Dream Solid but not spectacular: For years this was a fantastic app. I respect the current owners for trying to introduce more features but there's a bit of reinventing the wheel going on at times which stymies accessibility. Still worth having as a solid book reader and audio file player, but for the subscription price tag I expect to see rock solid accessibility throughout and that hasn't been the cas
- [R63] Text to Speech! Inconvenient to use: The app needs refinement regarding its UI settings and core functionality. Currently, you cannot copy text from the 'Starred' section. This is a major inconvenience because it prevents me from backing up or transferring important data before the app's auto-delete function triggers. Having to manually transcribe text that should be copyable is frustrating
- [R22] Voice Dream Can't recommend: I can usually learn new apps and software easily, but I found this app extremely difficult to use. Also, I had hoped to use the app to listen to books when my eyes are tired or not functioning well, but could never find a way to set the app to read a book for thirty minutes or more without frequent prompting and page-turning swipes. I give up. (I'll note that the voice-reader o
- [R37] Voice Dream Horrible Interface: Apple should be embarrassed for endorsing this app. The interface is clunky and requires a ton of tapping around to do even basic functions. Managing voices is a complete pain, often times the previews don’t load and finding them amongst a giant list without tags or filters is like finding a needle in a haystack. I finally found one I liked, used it on a document, and the voice
- [R77] Text to Speech! Powerful because it’s simple: I titled my review powerful because it’s simple as an absolute compliment. By simple I mean it’s easy to use. The interface is clean and clear and I can listen to the very long emails and newsletters that I received from my students and my professional organizations… Things that normally take me forever to get through there’s so many coming at me all the time, but wit
- [R68] Text to Speech! Perfect!: I lost my voice temporarily a while ago due to sickness. This was key to communicating with family and doctors. Absolutely genius, and ads are not as intrusive as other apps. Thank you, it’s perfect.
- [R42] Voice Dream Was reliable for years but no longer: This app was a great essential reading app for years but has now deteriorated and lost my entire library and the voices I purchased in the past. It has broken and tech support doesn’t know how to fix it now. Sad.
- [R65] Text to Speech! Problems recently though: Love the app had it for a few years works perfectly up until last month. When it started freezing. Had to delete app and reload now it seems like it’s happening every couple days. If not sooner is the latest update the problem? Is there a resolution for this? Please fix the app Thank you.
- [R61] Text to Speech! Glitchy already: I just downloaded this app cause of surgery so I can “talk” still and it’s already glitching out and making my keys stick
- [R72] Text to Speech! Amazing app but freezes a lot: The app freezes a lot but other than that it’s amazing please fix it asap
- [R4] Voice Dream Early adopter- punished: I paid for lifetime access prior to the integration of AI and now the voice I paid for does not work anymore. Waste of money
- [R56] Voice Dream Bad, tricky subscription: The trial period is only 3 days, hardly enough to evaluate. Renewed automatically for a year at 79.99. I unsubscribed to avoid another charge in a year. My bad. Unlike most apps, it will not honor the license until the subscription runs out.
- [R70] Text to Speech! 5 stars must be fake: The in-app ads make this unusable and infuriating. A person who can’t speak doesn’t want or need an ad interrupting what could be a desperate need to communicate. My friend with PLS can barely use his hands in the first place, so just using the device is an obstacle already…this app is 100% useless as long as it has video ads that play while trying to use it.
- [R80] Text to Speech! ADDS: I don’t like the adds……
- [R41] Voice Dream Amazing Support Team!!!: I reached out yesterday evening about an issue I was having. They responded back to me this morning and by 12:48 pm, my issue was resolved. I will continue to use this app because of how great it is. I am so happy to know that their support team will work quickly on any issue that I may encounter!
