You need a wider range of digital products like various gift cards in addition to mobile top-ups, and are willing to risk potential glitches, failed transactions, and poor customer support R84.
Evidence note: Ding Top-up has a significantly larger number of reviews, which provides a broader dataset for analysis. Both apps have a mix of positive and negative reviews, but Recharge.com's negative reviews are more consistently focused on critical issues like failed transactions and non-responsive customer support, which heavily impacts its overall score.

- [R2] Ding Top-up Worked as Advertised: Quite truthfully was skeptical. But works abroad without the need to buy a physical load. There is a fee but it’s worth it especially if you don’t have a local number.
- [R8] Ding Top-up Satisfied: Ding is a fast and reliable app for sending international mobile top-ups and gift cards and perfect for staying connected with loved ones. The interface is simple, and transactions are always smooth. Highly recommended for hassle-free global recharges!
- [R11] Ding Top-up Claro - Costa Rica & tigo - Guatemala: I’ve been using ding top up for about two years with no problem to recharge phones in Costa Rica and Guatemala. I charge it to my credit card or Apple Cash. I started in 2022 and now still using it in October 2024. I normally go with the plans for the GB data more than the minutes.
- [R18] Ding Top-up About top up option: It’s a great app nice job guys but only question I have that was can you put an option to send custom amount of top up.
- [R17] Ding Top-up Amazing app: This app is really amazing and user friendly! I would recommend it to everyone.
- [R26] Ding Top-up So convenient: Love the service quick and easy
- [R29] Ding Top-up Easy and quick: Easy and quick
- [R1] Ding Top-up Scammers: I’m very disappointed with this business. I was told my order was delivered, but I never received it. After contacting customer service, I was not given a clear solution or proper help. It feels like I was misled and lost my money without receiving the product I paid for. I would not recommend this company based on my experience.
- [R4] Ding Top-up THEY WILL BAN YOU FOR NO REASON: I discovered I was banned for literally using the app for the reason it was made to be used. You can’t make this stuff up. It’s insane. Now I’ll take my business elsewhere. They didn’t even allow me to appeal, I talked with an agent about my issue and then 30mins later they told me that I need to find somewhere else to go because I’m banned. I used to love this app
- [R6] Ding Top-up EXPENSIVE 💰: The app works great but is expensive to send a load as they give you crappy exchange rates. For example today: Philippines Current exchange rate ₱57.46 = $1.00 So a ₱500 should cost around $8.70 Instead they charge $13.99 That’s a $5.29 difference… or in pesos a ₱303.96 difference. That’s a huge markup. As soon as I find a different way to top off I will no longer use Ding
- [R9] Ding Top-up Increased Rate: I know that in the US, everything went up because of the idiot Joe Biden taking orders from Barrack Obama. But your increased in pricing is hurting the recipients more because the sender (from the US) also have to adjust expenses.
- [R10] Ding Top-up txtx: The fees is so high
- [R21] Ding Top-up Data works well, a few issues with the service: Purchased a 20 gig E-sim for Morocco twice. Data worked smoothly. However both times I was given 18 gigs of Data instead of 20. Also once the purchase is complete both times they did not send me a QR code with my email so I had to get the link from customer support who were helpful
- [R25] Ding Top-up Does not work: Tried recharging phone number overseas and it did not work. They are trying to avoid refunding. Never use this app.
- [R13] Ding Top-up Expensive: You have to pay 3 times more of what they receive in country you’re sending. Scam app
- [R22] Ding Top-up Why are you promoting that it was $4797.48 JMD Now $14392.44 they receive 13432.94 but they don’t ?: Thief !
- [R19] Ding Top-up Abdul: I have topped up my nephew’s mobile number 3 times using ding and it never reached him although the app cut the money from my account
- [R34] Ding Top-up Top up not received: Ding does not deliver top ups efficiently, waited two whole days waiting for a top up to be delivered and when I reached out company declined to help and told me to wait even more for a resolution.
- [R37] Ding Top-up Technical issues: If you have technical transactions issues, you have to cancel the transaction not putting the order in hold ,there is no option to cancel besides calling the company
- [R50] Ding Top-up Fabian Ayon: It use to be more very simple to do back then , when I press cash app to pay it , botton don’t work
- [R84] Recharge.com Glitchy: App is horrible and extremely glitchy. Even picking a number is cumbersome. You click and click from your contacts and it won’t select the person. Sometimes the person doesn’t even receive the load or “recharge”. It’s a hit or miss! But what gets me frustrated is how glitchy this app and slow! Typing to find contact and selecting contact feature needs refinement.
- [R96] Recharge.com Screen Freezes: It might work if the screen didn’t freeze. Keep trying, though. You might get it to work someday.
