- [R1] AllTrails Thief’s App: I get a notification of auto renewal at 10:53pm and two hours later they hit my account leaving me not option but to pay for something I didn’t want. Theirs do their work an night, and so do these people. Decent app, worth $15 yearly: sure. However, it’s not worth $35 or the money they’ll have to pay me to remove the 12 reviews I’ve posted announcing their nefariousness.
- [R5] AllTrails Use it everywhere I go: This is my go to app anywhere I go that I want to travel by foot and see beautiful places! It’s a must have.
- [R14] AllTrails Great trail maps: Really useful trail maps and reviews.
- [R63] National Park Service Meadowrose: The app has a lot of information about individual parts. It does not have any maps.
- [R8] AllTrails User friendly: I think the title says it but if you aren’t inclined with an app this one is easy to use.
- [R18] AllTrails No route notification: I used this for the first time on the peak subscription. At no point does the phone notify you of the next turning, each time you have to open the app and look which when you are walking and looking where you are stepping is frustrating. I thought there would be a buzz or a ping to tell you the next turning. I’m disappointed that I upgraded as it’s hard to navigate. That sai
- [R82] National Park Service Hard to use: The app is cumbersome, very confusing and hard to use.
- [R85] National Park Service Disorganized: Lots of digging to get to confused information. Map is pretty useless for planning.
- [R16] AllTrails Tons of issues with maps: I’ve used this app for years, no issues. Suddenly the maps aren’t working. I deleted the app and reinstalled, I signed out and signed in. No progress. Problem just got worse and I also lost all my saved hikes and data. Maps still not working.
- [R36] AllTrails DO NOT BUY PAID PLANS: Do not spend money of a paid plan for this app. This app used to be great for on trail navigation and planning hiking trips but recently it is unusable. App will freeze and crash if you use it for more than 2 minutes and they don’t do anything to fix the problem. DO NOT BUY. Look for alternative
- [R116] National Park Service Nonstop crashes: I want to love the NPS app, having visited over 200 sites, however, this app freezes and crashes nonstop, making it extremely frustrating. I have a brand new iPhone. Come on guys, you can do better.
- [R118] National Park Service NPS app is irreparably broken: One of the features I like is that it allows you to mark the parks that you’ve visited and add photos from the visit. The problem is the app freezes up whenever I go to the Your Visits section. That section is completely unusable. An alternate approach would be to place an icon on each park’s main page that you could click to add to the list of Your Visits, but there
- [R9] AllTrails Great App but it’s a money grab: 80 dollars is ridiculous for the peak subscription. I feel like it’s a money grab, I also hate how they show features that you don’t have access to and you don’t realize you don’t have that feature until you click on it. The peak features should be part of the plus subscription.
- [R19] AllTrails Just a giant ad: Everything is locked down in this app. Everything you click on is a trick to advertise the paid premium app. It’s not worth it anymore
- [R40] AllTrails Have to subscribe to even see what the app does: I just wanted to see if the app covers my local area but the app forces you to subscribe and hand over financial information as soon as it opens. App has been deleted
- [R72] National Park Service Need maps: There is really no map of all the parks that is easily accessible.
- [R21] AllTrails Cancelled subscription but still charged: I cancelled my subscription the day before it ended but was still charged £35.99. After several messages with their support team support team I was refunded the full amount but without apology or explanation. I won’t be using this app again.
- [R25] AllTrails They will Scam you!: They offered a 50% off a year but when the actual charge came through it was full price. They were unwilling to give a refund and even after multiple escalations held to the full price. False advertising. Ruthless and totally not customer friendly.
- [R92] National Park Service Touch not working: This was a great app and I used it quite frequently but now I can’t use it at all! Once I open it, I can, maybe, type one letter and then it doesn’t work anymore. It just freezes up and won’t recognize the touch keypad anymore. At this point the app is worthless to me. Absolutely unusable! To make matters worse, the app support doesn’t even work!
