Indeed Job Search vs Glassdoor | Jobs & Careers
Indeed Job Search is generally preferred for its job volume and ease of application, despite recent technical issues, while Glassdoor struggles with recent AI updates and login problems.
Indeed Job Search offers a vast array of job listings and a straightforward application process, though users report issues with job relevance and app bugs. Glassdoor, while valued for its company insights, is currently hampered by problematic AI updates, login failures, and navigation difficulties.
Head to head
Evidence note: Both apps have a significant number of negative recent reviews, skewing their perceived current performance lower than their lifetime ratings. Glassdoor's recent negative reviews are particularly focused on specific, critical issues like login failures and problematic AI integration, which could severely impact usability for many users.

- [R3] Indeed Job Search Iob mismatch: While I do like indeed sometimes I get sent jobs or filtered into jobs that have nothing to do with my experience
- [R4] Indeed Job Search Ghost jobs fake leads: Don’t trust these people “employers” don’t answer back I tried it for more than a year filled up more than 100 applications and I didn’t get anything not even a answer back from the fake employers Don’t waste your time
- [R8] Indeed Job Search Best app job hunt: Awesome app for job hunting. Always posting great places to work.
- [R9] Indeed Job Search Pretty good app: I like the app and the fact you can see reviews,Q&A, ect,. But I do not like that some of these jobs are scams.
- [R5] Indeed Job Search Not scrolling: I have used indeed for years but for some reason the job descriptions aren’t scrolling for me now. I deleted it and then tried not using extensions. I went to the help page and did what it said. Still nothing. Please fix this!
- [R6] Indeed Job Search Spam: You don't need to send me an email every time i apply to a job. I know i applied. I know what to do next. Stop spamming my email
- [R7] Indeed Job Search Bugs: Your app is great when it comes to applying for jobs and finding ones that actually fit your skills. However on the app and website, it is physically impossible to open the profile section since it only shows a blank screen. This is annoying cause we might have to update our profile or something but we don’t have access to the section. Everything else works on it except for that
- [R12] Indeed Job Search Bug fixes: OK when I try to hit on the show more for any job the page freezes. The app does not need an update so I’m not sure what’s going on but I’m having difficulty with the app itself right now and the update just happened so you need more bug fixes.
- [R11] Indeed Job Search Great job seeking application.: Does a wonderful job at helping people get jobs!
- [R29] Indeed Job Search One thing please!: I like the Ai help feature that helps refine searching however an edit button is needed in the messages! Just in case you misspell a name!
- [R32] Indeed Job Search Best app I’ve downloaded: This has to be the best app I’ve downloaded since being on the job hunt. I do however miss the in person interview with potential employers. I’m old school so there’s that.
- [R61] Glassdoor | Jobs & Careers Sold out: Glass door has sold out the employees that expect honesty from fellow employees by allowing companies to delete negative reviews essentially turning a pier reviewed platform into another app shilling our data for corporate reputation washing.
- [R82] Glassdoor | Jobs & Careers They delete bad reviews: Companies can pay to have bad reviews deleted. Completely dishonest
- [R81] Glassdoor | Jobs & Careers Changes for the worse: I use this app frequently, and recent changes just make it harder to use. It seems like every update requires me to tap more places to get to the same functionality. If I click Companies, I want to go directly to a search for companies. Now it takes me to an AI tab, then I have to scroll over and switch to Companies to search. Same with company reviews; now I need to tap on
- [R10] Indeed Job Search Now promoting fake jobs!: A company from India has all kinds of hiring all over Indeed however after speaking with the community we have all applied at the Company Data Annotation however I am hearing that all they are doing is conducting interviews and not actually hiring anyone. While the questions are genuine the intent is not, but most of us AI programmers are stepping away from indeed because
- [R34] Indeed Job Search Doesn’t give the right job: Will give you a job from the web but that job doesn’t actually exist
- [R18] Indeed Job Search New search results are nonsense: Used to be I could search for a full time job within 20 miles and now there’s a bunch of nonsense jobs out of state clogging up the results. Algorithm needs fixed big time.
- [R25] Indeed Job Search DONT USE: They give you the same jobs over and over. Even if you use the filter they disregard and give you jobs you aren’t looking for. They allow jobs to post 30 ads for the same job so have fun trying to get through those. I get job offers from jobs I would work at if I was in high school.
- [R31] Indeed Job Search Sucks: Shows the same 50 jobs. The search filters don’t work, you can put 25 miles and it’ll show you jobs over 60+ miles away. You click don’t show me this job again, and it still shows you the job 6 more times on each page. What a joke
- [R64] Glassdoor | Jobs & Careers AI has ruined the app: New AI update has made the app unusable for me. Terrible and not at all user friendly.
- [R73] Glassdoor | Jobs & Careers App has become near unusable: Stop forcing the AI garbage. It’s a pain to search for companies and review salaries now.
- [R79] Glassdoor | Jobs & Careers App sucks: The update is terrible!
