Who it's for
Glassdoor is for job seekers who prioritize a wide range of job listings and company insights, and who are willing to navigate a potentially buggy and unintuitive interface R3R20R486. It is not for users who expect a seamless, crash-free experience, accurate job filtering, or a platform where all company reviews are guaranteed to be unfiltered R4R6R7R34.
Evidence note: The evidence for review authenticity (companies deleting negative reviews) is based on user claims R6R34R70R490 and not directly verifiable through the provided reviews, but it is a recurring concern.

- [R3] Driver: I am getting plenty of job listings. I hope it pans out to be new work for me.
- [R15] Looking for a job: We’ll see how it goes
- [R26] Easy: It’s extremely easy to apply for jobs, update your resume & just be continuously updated on what’s a available in the area. Highly recommend
- [R41] Great app: Easy to use, great job results and choices.
- [R2] Easy process: V
- [R20] Orchid: Applying for this position at Orchid Healthcare was easy through Glassdoor because I didn’t have to do the redundant uploading of my resume AND then manually entering everything that is already included in it, which is frustrating since the information is already there!
- [R36] Easy: It was ver easy to submit an application with this app no glitches “yay”
- [R48] Love: I love the fact that you can look at reviews of the job snd different opinions within the app...
- [R486] A useful app for careers related information: Have found it useful especially the info from employees regarding their experiences of working for the company. Just started using for job searches , and maybe need to get used to it more but finding the searches a little bit wide ranging however it’s proving helpful and I’m seeing more than I was using some other job search sites.
- [R4] Constantly crashes: Looking for work. This app crashes constantly. Three times in the last hour, leading to this review. Server jobs - 2 that are 22 miles away and have been posted for more than 30 days. I visited the restaurants; neither are hiring and don't know why the ads are there. App information is outdated and depressing.
- [R248] The app sucks often: When the app works well, it works well. But often times it freezes
- [R471] Mediocre: The refresh rate is way too fast. As soon as I come off the app and go back on it, it takes me back to the homepage. Lags a lot and often doesn’t show me any jobs.
- [R499] Glassdoor: Good but not excellent. A few performance/stability issues have appeared lately when scrolling, where past items appear. Please fix!
- [R27] Cant sign in on app: cloudflare is stuck in endless sign in loop -- updating few months later - still cant log in on the horrible app
- [R45] Unable to log in: I’ve tried logging in on both the website and app using both Google and manually entering my email and it still won’t let me log in. App is unusable.
- [R51] Can't even login??: And yes I updated. It just spins and nothing happens :((((
- [R85] Logged Out: Recent update logged me out of my account. When logging back in the app forces personal information to be filled out. At this time I want to delete my account and no option to do so because I’m stuck in the signin flow.
- [R7] AI has ruined the app: New AI update has made the app unusable for me. Terrible and not at all user friendly.
- [R13] App has become near unusable: Stop forcing the AI garbage. It’s a pain to search for companies and review salaries now.
- [R39] unusable: get rid of the ai.
- [R40] AI Ruined It: Who thought it would be a good idea to implement AI??? Not everything needs AI. I can’t even edit my profile without having to do an ai prompt. This makes the process longer with unnecessary steps!
- [R9] Meh: Suggests 30+ day jobs that aren’t applicable to me
- [R25] Ghosting: Way too many ghost jobs/companies
- [R60] Circus: Showing open positions 1300 miles away off my provide location
- [R65] Stupid update: Who’s the idiot that got rid of the job title search ability for salaries. Now you can only narrow down by location and then can select different job categories? Moronic change
- [R73] Search broken, only location filter, web app broken, verification fails, but at least there's AI!: Very bad app, full of bugs, good thing they added an ai search bar lol, searching salary in a company shows only location filter and not job id filter, eliminating the entire reason for using glassdoor :) and just for fun, i tried the web alp on chrome and just repeatedly asking me to verify i'm not
- [R82] Changes for the worse: I use this app frequently, and recent changes just make it harder to use. It seems like every update requires me to tap more places to get to the same functionality. If I click Companies, I want to go directly to a search for companies. Now it takes me to an AI tab, then I have to scroll over and switch to Companies to search. Same with company reviews; now I need to tap on
- [R84] Downhill: Unclear what the purpose is, but the latest series of changes have made the app useless. Take salary. I can no longer select a company and sort salaries from highest to lowest- I have to pick an area and then scroll through all the jobs hoping I selected the right one. Take jobs. It doesn’t seem to have the jobs found on other sites. Really useless now.
- [R6] Sold out: Glass door has sold out the employees that expect honesty from fellow employees by allowing companies to delete negative reviews essentially turning a pier reviewed platform into another app shilling our data for corporate reputation washing.
- [R34] They delete bad reviews: Companies can pay to have bad reviews deleted. Completely dishonest
- [R70] Scrubs reviews: If you leave honest reviews of companies on site, they are erased by mods without cause. Beware taking advice
- [R490] Very useful: It would be a 5 star rating for me if they could improve their reviews-leaving process. I have left reviews about my past employers, both good and bad, just like the businesses I happened to have worked for. They all have been rejected and did not appear on the portal. I am not sure what is the point of Glassdoor if one cannot leave an honest feedback. I will carry on using their
- [R5] Minor Tweaks: Maybe it’s the software engineer in me, but there are some app actions that are extremely frustrating and confusing like if you’re applying for a job and you tap exit or tap the back button, they both don’t take you to the previous page. Some people would get annoyed by that for sure having to start over again.
- [R32] Difficult navigation between apps: Glassdoor is difficult to navigate back-and-forth between apps. I have lost my information twice in the application process, merely by toggling to my personal information to copy and paste to Glassdoor. When I toggle back to Glassdoor, all my application information is lost.
- [R119] Used to be better: With the new app redesign, it’s hard to find salaries, filter for a specific role and sort them. The navigation across pages is horrible. Also have to through multiple searches to find company reviews. Please fix the design and make it simple and intuitive
- [R488] Needs improvement: You cannot change distance and it’s to complicated to use, any good web designer knows you lose a person 3 clicks ! Make it smoother and easier !
- [R12] Why be annoying?: I get reviews are important but that’s only the case when they are genuine. Asking me EVERY SINGLE TIME I do an action is a great way to win a one start review so here you go.
- [R512] Annoying pops for reviews: I’m trying to do stuff and it keeps bothering me in the same session after I said not now three times.
- [R37] A BIT REPATIVE: I changed in my setting to stop receiving emails because I am working. But I still get emails. Still get repetitive emails of the same job posting. Granted I get daily emails, but I continue to get emails for the same jobs I have applied for and I get those jobs that are not in my line of work.
- [R459] Needs to be more appropriate.: I like the app as simple to use and has a large database. Some days I get 7+ emails with job details. I have set filters to ten miles of my home yet the vast majority of their job vacancy emails are for places fifty miles away. It’s disheartening.
- [R91] Can’t figure it out: Can’t upload resume
- [R421] Great idea, but poor error messages: Great idea, but several forms on the app won’t let me submit due to an incorrect validation error. Several forms claim I haven’t filled out a box, so prevent me submitting, when those boxes have been filled out
- [R504] Please stop defaulting to USA: I have never lived there, my location is Canada, I change the location to Canada and it changes back to US when I switch sections. Pleassee can it default to the location in our profiles?
- [R63] Difficult to use: What happened to this app? Searches for companies and jobs bring up irrelevant things, it defaults to asking AI everything (why?! What is AI going to answer about a job for me, why can’t I read it myself?). You used to be able to quickly locate companies and just read reviews. Some things work better when they’re simple… go back to that.
- [R67] Used to be great: This app used to be very helpful and easy to use. it is so difficult now! Please just make it simpler like it used to be
