- [R18] Magic Missing cards: The game is good and I love how they added commander with the brawl mode, but many cards are still missing and it makes it not fun to try and build or recreate decks, when many staples are missing, no atraxa for example, yet others (krenko) are alive and well.
- [R30] Magic Don’t bother…: If you think this will be like playing Magic on your phone/tablet, then it’s not worth your time. Sure it’s using the same cards, but the game is poorly programmed and doesn’t play like MTG at all… You will almost always need to make in-app purchases for cards if you actually want to do well vs other players. (Not surprising for a TCG app, to be fair.)
- [R63] Magic Useful for tourneys but tricky to navigate: The Magic: The Gathering Companion is a mobile app which helps its users host and/or join local Magic: The Gathering gaming events in various formats, from one-on-one Standard duels to battle-royale Commander matches. For players, this app is useful for entering tournaments and tracking life points during matches. For hosts, this app is useful for mana
- [R68] Magic Almost the only MtG app you need: Great functionality across the board, and looking forward to in person events to get pairings directly on the app rather than crowding round a screen in the LGS. Love the fact it can also be set to track floating mana, but why does it not keep a record of the game?!? Having a history page to check a previous point in the game would be so handy, especially when a j
- [R1] Magic Bad: Even the tutorials are hard! it’s so dumb!
- [R29] Magic Great but: Really fun - a little confusing to get into for first timers as far as different formats and actually building decks etc. would be really cool to have a pve mode where you can play against your own decks piloted by an ai. Would make it a 5/5
- [R69] Magic Great when it works: This app is great when it works, but it’s glitchy as hell when it doesn’t. It can make submitting results a real pain. The Gatherer part of the app is great, though.
- [R70] Magic Awful: As someone who’s going to competitive level events most weeks. Using this app is a nightmare. My round timer is always at 50 minutes. Logs people out, doesn’t show parings etc. Bring back DCI numbers and paper parings.
- [R12] Magic Good but can’t finish some games: Fun game but it must lose connection or something easily because I end up waiting on cpu enemies for 5 minutes to make a move and they just sit there so I’m forced to quit and restart the battle, hoping it does t happen a second time
- [R60] Magic Horrible RNG: Horrible App. You spend more time “waiting for server” rather than playing. Constantly kicked from games mid turn. Game might just stop registering your play then kick you out but when you come back you’ve lost 1-3 turns. The “randomness” on card draw is atrocious. There is nothing fun about this app
- [R73] Magic Only used because events force you to do so: 4 years since release and still missing some of the most basic functionality. You use a code to enter events, but can’t see that code on the event to share with others. No historical event data - one of the best features of the previous dci system. Regularly logs you out and doesn’t retain username or password, or seem to have ability to retrieve from d
- [R4] Magic Too Expensive: I love Magic and I love arena. However, hasbro is one of the greediest companies in history and it shows in the way they monetize this game. There is a 25$ "starter pack" in the store that is literally just 8 guaranteed cards of your choice. Digital "assets" are not worth this much and youll get this same experience with every progression option in the game. Events entry are too
- [R32] Magic Too much money and feels like work: Buy the real cards and play with friends. This game is not relaxing and does not deliver for the amount of money you can easily sink into it. The majority of the formats do not encourage casual play. If you like Magic for the artwork, story, and relaxing play, dump money into actual cards. I am not a hater at all and have played the game for years. Strongly reco
- [R39] Magic Totally Recommend: MTG arena is great for if you want to learn to play without spending money or if you just want to play online
- [R55] Magic Great game!: This game is incredible just like the actual card game in reality! Anyone who is claiming pay to win either doesn’t know how to build a deck or is just rubbish at the game there is more than enough access to cards without spending a penny
- [R22] Magic Worthless company: My MTG Online account was hacked and they refuse to replace the stolen cards
- [R65] Magic Great 5*: Really helpful & great to see you’re results & scores. Highly recommended to all MTG players.
