Ada vs MyQuest for Patients
Ada is better for symptom assessment and general health insights, while MyQuest for Patients is essential for managing Quest Diagnostics appointments and lab results.
Ada excels at helping users understand their symptoms and potential diagnoses, often providing reassurance and guidance for doctor visits. MyQuest for Patients is a functional app for scheduling lab appointments and accessing test results from Quest Diagnostics, though it faces consistent usability complaints.
Head to head
Evidence note: Reviews for Ada are more focused on its core functionality of symptom assessment, while MyQuest for Patients reviews are heavily dominated by its appointment scheduling and results access features, with many complaints about usability. The free nature of both apps means that some negative reviews for Ada might stem from unmet expectations of a free diagnostic tool, though the issues with MyQuest for Patients are more about functional glitches.

- [R1] Ada Idk: I hate writing the paragraph of symptoms. I wish there was an option to look at the list and select your symptoms still. The writing and way it presents is giving gen AI and that really sucks if that’s the case
- [R7] Ada Limited: Very limited input. Not specific enough. Symptoms should be prompted not text based. Same with meds.
- [R8] Ada Great app: Has always genuinely helped me identify what’s going on with me so that I can share with my doctor. It’s a wonderful way to keep track of what’s going on and have reference for past occurrences. I definitely praise the creator(s). Used it for years and will undoubtedly continue to.
- [R11] Ada Game changer for worrier: I love this app for its ability to help me know how much to worry about symptoms and those around me. The statistics are really meaningful as it says how likely things are instead of a online search saying something without context. I know it’s not perfect but it has helped significantly in my understanding of my symptoms and health.
- [R65] MyQuest for Patients very easy and effective. thanks quest diagnostic🙏: very easy and effective. thanks quest diagnostic🙏
- [R66] MyQuest for Patients (: Not enough morning appointments available when I need them.
- [R71] MyQuest for Patients Easy To Follow: This app is user friendly. It was easy to move from start to finish.
- [R73] MyQuest for Patients Appointments scheduleing: Terrible need to reverse. Enter in personal info first then pick date time so it saves all info. Till i entered all the info the appointment got taken and i had to start over. This occured 3 times. Need to be able to change date and time without losing all the info i entered.
- [R61] MyQuest for Patients Tim: You can never get a copy of your test results
- [R74] MyQuest for Patients Easy to use: Once having an account it is very easy to make appointments & view laboratory results
- [R94] MyQuest for Patients Not great: I have not been able to get my results. The app keeps giving me error messages of not being able to sync my id with facial recognition. Contacted customer support multiple times, and i keep getting generic responses.
- [R104] MyQuest for Patients Easy appointments: The app is very easy to use and I love how I can check test results myself
- [R2] Ada La mejor aplicación: Excelente para tener una idea de lo que le puede estar pasando a uno
- [R3] Ada I like the app but...: The app is really good! I have used it before for many illnesses i have had. But for some reason I try to use it again and it tells me to allow tracking which is fine but it won't let me enable it? Let alone does it have the option to allow me to manually enable it in the settings. I cannot use the app without the tracking.
- [R5] Ada Great tool to have on hand: This is a great app. Love it and refer to it often.
- [R6] Ada Ok: This app is fine for basic things, but not for those who have chronic illnesses. I would really like to put in my previous diagnoses and have that reflected in the questions, especially because my illnesses sometimes feel like I'm getting a cold. Also, questions like "one day to one week" should be narrowed down more. Another request I have is the option to turn off all pregnancy related quest
- [R13] Ada Transgender woman speaking!!!: I am a transgender woman and I have been on hormones for about two years now. I trust this app with my symptoms and I feel like the feedback does give a good general picture about what symptoms can look like. One glaring issue, especially for me, is that there is no option to add gender identity or even have it register that I take hormones and even testosterone bloc
- [R17] Ada Helpful!: Always VERY accurate for what I’ve put in, even a deviated septum which I ended up having
- [R23] Ada Keeps you informed: I love this app because it helps me decide when I should go to the doctor. I understand it’s no substitute for medical attention, but it definitely helps hypochondriacs like myself make better decisions.
- [R35] Ada Helpful: I really enjoy using this app… I find it very helpful for getting information on basic medical issues, but you have to remember it cannot do a medical diagnosis. It has definitely help me uncover things to discuss at doctor appointments. The app is limited. Ann does not allow you to notate what diseases you are suffering from or ailments you are suffering from because of other diseases…
- [R59] Ada Excelente: Es de gran ayuda, ya que da una idea de que puede ser, pero siempre aclara que se debe consulta a un especialista.
- [R64] MyQuest for Patients Problems with insurance: Having problems with inputting my insurance member ID#
- [R82] MyQuest for Patients No Medicare: Medicare does not show up as an insurance option on your list of many. Why would that be?
- [R87] MyQuest for Patients Insurance in formation would not veriify: Insurance in formation would not verify three times and my input was correctly typed into the system. Wasted my time online and will again when I check in and have to provide that information again. My time is precious
- [R99] MyQuest for Patients Not easy: Hard to input the insurance info
- [R10] Ada Keyboard doesn’t work on the app: I can’t type in anything.
- [R28] Ada Who is able to yse this?: I never got past the screen asking for my date of birth because there is nowhere to type it in. Are all these reviewers using Android phones? Not working on my apple IOS.
- [R92] MyQuest for Patients Problem: App does not let you know when apt time becomes unavailable while filling the questionnaire and then when trying to schedule another time all the information needs to be refilled again
- [R93] MyQuest for Patients Horrible App: This ap needs work. I spent almost an hour trying to schedule an appointment. The ap would give toiled available, I would input my information and eventually it would say that the time was taken. Try another time. Problem is, I was forced to re-enter all of my information each time. This happened six times. I finally gave up to try another day, ehich worked. But, it had to be in the
- [R100] MyQuest for Patients Appt Sched: By the time the info is filled out, the appt is no longer available, then rescheduling requires re-entering. Also, it doesn’t seem to know the format for MediCare acct numbers.
