Aladdin Connect vs craigslist
Aladdin Connect is suitable for users prioritizing remote garage door control and status monitoring, while craigslist is better for those focused on local buying, selling, and community interactions.
Aladdin Connect provides remote control and monitoring for garage doors, but struggles with connectivity and smart home integrations. craigslist excels as a platform for local classifieds, offering easy posting and quick sales, though it faces issues with scam listings and content moderation.
Head to head
Evidence note: Aladdin Connect's reviews are heavily skewed towards connectivity and integration issues, while craigslist reviews highlight both its effectiveness for transactions and challenges with moderation and scams. The free-vs-paid asymmetry is not relevant here as both apps are free to download, with craigslist offering IAP not directly mentioned as a source of friction.

- [R2] Aladdin Connect Very useful features, and easy to use!: Very easy to check door open/close status, verify who last opened or closed the door, how long the door has been open or closed, etc. - from anywhere in the world as long as your home wifi connection is good. Also very easy to open or close a door remotely and get confirmation that the requested action was completed. Very intuitive and useful app!
- [R3] Aladdin Connect Aladdin User: Would like to have smart watches added to control door.
- [R5] Aladdin Connect Remote access +: We have all left and can’t remember if we closed the garage, the app will let you know how long ago it was closed and let you close it if indeed you forgot. Simple to connect to the app and set up to your WiFi.
- [R6] Aladdin Connect Ok, but could be better: Works ok, but would be nice if it showed up on the Apple Car Play screen. Would be much safer and more convenient than having to do this from the phone itself. How hard could this be?
- [R1] Aladdin Connect The Worst App Ever: Trying to connect my garage door to this app is an excruciatingly painful process. After I switched to a new WiFi 7 router, I was unable to ever sync the door to my new network. Thanks for a low quality product.
- [R4] Aladdin Connect Connection issues: App issue connecting
- [R8] Aladdin Connect Owner: I keep losing my wifi to the garage door opener even though I have a wifi extender in the garage area. Can you help me??
- [R9] Aladdin Connect Love the app, hate that it’s tough rebook up after outage.: Why does it go offline every time there is an outage? It’s a pain to get it reconnected
- [R14] Aladdin Connect Awesome: Never again will I wonder….did I close the garage door. Love this!!!!
- [R19] Aladdin Connect Cheap: Dont waste your time with Aladdin. Cheapest system on the market is never the best and this system is awful. Have replaced all of mine and have had no issues at all and actually get help from support now
- [R49] Aladdin Connect Customer support is the worst.: I’ve only had one representative who was willing to take the time to walk me through programming my garage door. I would never purchase this product ever again. Support is the worst. The product does not work. I hate everything about it. While trying to program my remote, I called Customer Service and the rep hung up on me. She did not believe the information that I
- [R65] craigslist App works great!: No complaints with this app. It simply works. Appreciate the chat function, which allows us to select a unique notification just for craigslist. though we usually still use the anonymized email relay, the chat in the app is great for fast moving items and coordinating pick ups without giving out our phone number.
- [R87] craigslist Terrible AI auto flagging: Posting on Craigslist has become unbearable. Posts get auto-flagged with no explanation & the crowdsourced support forum is useless. The least the AI moderation could do is say why a post was potentially flagged - but you just have to keep checking the status of a post instead.
- [R15] Aladdin Connect Apple CarPlay: Please get this on Apple CarPlay
- [R21] Aladdin Connect Great Hardware: I like the garage opener, it’s quiet and well made but the app doesn’t have widgets or watch complication. Sure it’s nice to be able to remotely open and close the door but for day to day use it’s not convenient. Sure there’s the remote and keypad but it would have been nice to just use my watch
- [R62] craigslist This works: Great experience! My car sold quickly for my full asking price. The platform was easy to use, and I connected with serious local buyers. I would definitely recommend Craigslist to anyone selling a vehicle.
- [R93] craigslist Easy: Even easier than the website used to be. Posted in the morning. Sold before lunch.
- [R96] craigslist Impressive: I’m impressed how fast my post started getting hits and had items gone within an hour. No hassle no spam!
- [R105] craigslist Still works: People tell my not to use this app but I don’t understand why. I use this app or website to buy and sell and I always find cool stuff. Just made a big sell in less than 12 hours. This was faster than market place and other apps. Post it and sell it ASAP. Great app and website.
- [R7] Aladdin Connect Doesn’t work because my password is too long: I can’t get the wifi setup because when I enter my WiFi password it’s too long and cuts off, therefore the Aladdin connect thinks I put in the wrong password. Ridiculous! Please fix and I’ll adjust rating
- [R61] craigslist Posts: My items keep getting flagged and taken down the same day after posting for no reason just because people are rude and it just gets taken down immediately just because one person doesnt like it. They all went by guidelines it doesnt matter if it does or not if it gets flagged by 1 person it gets taken down. Ive reposted it multiple times and it keeps getting taken down just because one salt
- [R63] craigslist Flags: My ads used to work really well with my phone number. Unfortunately someone who is in competition with me or does not like me flags my ads every time I try to post. After your ad has been flagged a few times, craigslist algorithm or whatever it is, automatically flags your post. It's irritating because anybody can flag you anytime they feel like it which makes it hard to have any luck with
- [R72] craigslist Problems: Lots of fake listings from scammers. This is a big problem when looking for housing or to buy something. The same housing ads are posted 3-4 times a day, every day for years because they are fake. Why is it every time the app updates I must sign in all over again with my email and password every single time? Why?
- [R79] craigslist Room rental hidden: My adds are not shown
