1. [R51] 5/5 · US Saved me’: Went on a family trip to Banff and Jasper. Since they are huge national parks, the cellular reception is very spotty. I was able to pre-download the Canada maps and the app is able to find point of interests. You can also change modes so that when the phone regains cellular connectivity, the app will refresh. Highly recommend!

Just click off-line, then select the continent, country and specific location you want downloaded, such as the state of New York. The only catch is, you must keep the device open and the app running until the download is complete.

We just tried HereWeGo which showed faster routes (more than 30 mins faster) and we made it on time for the match. Now, we use HereWeGo regularly!!

The adding stop feature doesn’t add the stop in order of distance it tags it into the end of the trip and says to backtrack the whole way back after arriving at final destination.

23. [R20] 4/5 · US Excellent - Except when it Opens to a Blank, Frozen Screen: It’s an excellent navigation app. The only problem is that it often opens to a blank, frozen screen and has to be restarted to get it going. This is the case for both on-phone and CarPlay use.

With Google or Apple Maps I could tap on the locate me button and it allows me to either look at the map display pointing north or in the direction that I am turning and driving this does not do that.

That’s my most common use case for map apps. Either this app is really not built to do that or the UX is too confusing to easily put in a landmark and then have it show restaurants or other things near it.

[R58] 1/5 · US Can’t Delete From Phone?!: I tried using this to download offline maps for a cross country drive, but even with data, audible directions were given LAST MINUTE, meaning I’d miss turns. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I can’t “Remove App” - It just -doesn’t- go away. I don’t want it anymore; I’ve had to remove all permissions to make my regular Maps App work properly again.

But those groups don't translate into the CarPlay screen. Worse, most times the app just gave me a blank screen both on my iPhone 16 and on my CarPlay screen. I just removed it.

49. [R75] 2/5 · US Maps are terrible: The map for here is a complete and utter mess. So many businesses smack dab in the middle of the road. Yet when you correct it on Here Map Creator? They reject it with absolutely no explanation at all. You can see where it even says “updated by HERE Team on xxx date”. That’s embarrassing. Here may need to have a sit down with the “Team” and teach them how mapping is really done.
