- [R51] Saved me’: Went on a family trip to Banff and Jasper. Since they are huge national parks, the cellular reception is very spotty. I was able to pre-download the Canada maps and the app is able to find point of interests. You can also change modes so that when the phone regains cellular connectivity, the app will refresh. Highly recommend!
- [R78] Great for offline use: Other map apps supposedly work off-line, but they are hard to configure. This one is a piece of cake. Just click off-line, then select the continent, country and specific location you want downloaded, such as the state of New York. The only catch is, you must keep the device open and the app running until the download is complete.
- [R71] Good: Good for what it is. The best thing is it allows you to download entire states offline instead of sections like other apps. Only con is places are not up to date with searches so you need to put the address in instead of name.
- [R85] Love it, but it needs better CarPlay support.: It’s a great and smooth app! It allows offline downloads of maps, and has pretty good traffic rerouting (all those luxury European cars that use this for native mapping give good data). CarPlay support is lacking. It always makes me restart the application before I can use it. You also can’t have the map and music controls at the same time. A real bu
- [R18] Highly recommended: This is an awesome GPS app that was recommended to me and it has been a great find. There is no sign up, no account, no hassle, it works right out of the box. The maps are clear, the routing is smooth, and it does not feel cluttered like a lot of other navigation apps. I really appreciate that it runs independently without constantly asking for logins or extra permissions. As
- [R70] Easy to use and Private: Super private. No data collection to big tech. Maps are great. Directions are clear. Highly recommend if you want to get away from Big Tech.
- [R14] Not bad: I’ve been using this app for about a month. Very appreciative of the fact that it collects less personal data than some of the other GPS apps. It does an okay job at choosing routes. Offline mode is a nice feature. I just wish that when using this through CarPlay there was the option to ask for directions via voice command.
- [R31] Nice app: I appreciate this app especially for being more private than the mainline navigation apps out there. It does have a weird bug of trying to redirect you if you’re at a stoplight too long, but fixes itself when you keep driving. Also id love it to pause my podcast whenever it talks :)
- [R7] Must Have for Ireland: The Burren Visitor Centre recommended this app for driving in Co. Clare, and it’s a game changer. After a week full of Apple Maps taking us on tight, one-lane back country roads (with traffic going both ways, not fun), HERE WeGo has kept us on formal roads everywhere possible, speeding both driving comfort and trip times by a huge margin. It isn’t the most sophisticated app (
- [R68] Better than Waze: We generally used Waze however, once we were traveling from Philly to Boston, Waze showed travel time as 6 hours and we had our son’s soccer match in the afternoon. We just tried HereWeGo which showed faster routes (more than 30 mins faster) and we made it on time for the match. Now, we use HereWeGo regularly!!
- [R1] 100%: Aplicación precisa y fácil de utilizar.
- [R2] 1 good feature: The only thing I like about this is that I can set my max speed to get accurate arrival times. The adding stop feature doesn’t add the stop in order of distance it tags it into the end of the trip and says to backtrack the whole way back after arriving at final destination.
- [R60] Best app for mopeds: I love that I could put my top speed and the route tends to give me routes based on the speed limit of my moped. Plus, it gives you the option to avoid gravel roads which is perfect for cross country trips.
- [R63] Under-rated, Solid Maps App: App offers good directions, accurate locations and names, frequently updated satellite imagery, and a clean, easy to use interface. On the phone, it seems relatively friendly on battery consumption and storage space. Losing it a star, it doesn’t work in CarPlay multitask view at this time (but does work on its own in CarPlay in general) and its location database isn’
- [R112] Great interface and app, needs better search and CarPlay support: I've been using Here We Go for a while and I'm impressed! It includes a user-friendly interface that’s simple but robust, distinguishing itself from other cluttered apps. While the overall search experience is good, a couple of enhancements would be beneficial. Firstly, predictive search needs improvement, often requiring the full n
- [R77] Will soon be great: This Mac app has a nice interface with a very easy to read navigation map and good detail. It’s the prettiest. It also has a very up-to-date business database. It will be as good as the Big Brother apps from Applebet when CarPlay functionality is full, but most particularly when the voice model is updated. It sounds pretty antiquated. But that is a small price for a free (so fa
- [R10] Incorrect location for my address: The app does not list my legal street address. The closest options are nowhere close. Amazon uses this company as its mapping service. As a result, I am not getting my packages.
- [R44] Looked nice but rarely worked: The interface looked nice but literally the first 3 destinations I entered didn't show up. And the restaurant I was eating at was showing as closed. Maybe I'll look at it again when it's more consistent.
- [R49] Disappointed: Trip was about a mile. Started out on a main road. The name of the place was wrong. Worse yet, it told me the place was on the left side of the road when, for 200 years, it has been on the right side of the road. Better map programs out there for years.
- [R54] Won’t update incorrect maps: Their maps have incorrect data and they will not update them even when you alert them of the mistakes. It is very frustrating.
- [R15] Not quite there: I recently went on vacation and used it as an opportunity to test out more features. I knew we’d have no service in some areas so I downloaded the maps of 3 different states we’d be passing through. Idk if its a compatibility issue or what but when my phone was connected to the car through apple airplay, the image of the map/route would glitch. The map would frequently zoom in w
- [R17] Beautiful, Functional: I have been using this app for several months and am loving the clean design and many of the features. Though, the CarPlay implementation seems to be a bit buggy especially during navigation when WeGo is minimized. Additionally, the app will white screen when opening it for the first time. I would love to see more features and customization options added, both functional fea
- [R20] Excellent - Except when it Opens to a Blank, Frozen Screen: It’s an excellent navigation app. The only problem is that it often opens to a blank, frozen screen and has to be restarted to get it going. This is the case for both on-phone and CarPlay use.
- [R24] Not the best in CarPlay: If the map rotated and followed in the direction that you are driving, it will be a five star review absolutely. With Google or Apple Maps I could tap on the locate me button and it allows me to either look at the map display pointing north or in the direction that I am turning and driving this does not do that.
- [R21] Map downloads do not work: Can't download map, just gives an error message saying "download stopped try again". I tapped the retry download option and it still didn't work. Same message every time.
- [R30] What happened?: Not sure what’s going on but the app crashes constantly now. It’s unusable. I hate Google and never want to use another one of their apps, but Here We Go is no longer a suitable replacement. I have used this app for about a year and loved it until about 2 weeks ago.
- [R39] Ios26: Sometimes the map will not load. Have under ios26
- [R5] Voice: Cannot get voice back to this app. Don’t know what happened to it but the voice is gone. So this app is totally useless for me. Tried everything to get it back but no use I liked when it was working but that was about 3hours ago that’s how long I’ve been working on it
- [R29] Not a good start: I downloaded this app on the 16th and used it on the 17th of January so today. We live in rural NM and I was going from El Rito to Toes for a Drs appointment which is normally a 1 hour and 11 minute drive but this app wanted to take me the same direction ish but 17 minutes further north to TP for a 1 hour and 28 minute Dr so needless to say a bad start. then on the way home once
- [R42] OK, But...: I have not been able to get sound to work in iPadOS. Apple apparently changed the API and this App hasn't fixed Other than this, I like the app.
- [R46] No sound connected to Bluetooth: 9/1/25 - Very curiously, even while Bluetooth is working just fine on my Apple 15+ IOS Version 18.XXX. Two 1916-17 autos factory Bluetooth, Java Freeway 5.7 and a Logitech BT adapter connected to my living room stereo system. Here only works externally through 1 auto with Apple car play. It’s very disappointing that that the best iPhone GPS app is so singularly lim
- [R6] Needs better searching near landmarks: One thing that I find difficult about this app is that it’s hard to find restaurants or coffee, shops, etc., near landmarks. That’s my most common use case for map apps. Either this app is really not built to do that or the UX is too confusing to easily put in a landmark and then have it show restaurants or other things near it.
- [R25] Pretty good but some search issues: For example, when searching for “Emergency Vet near me” I get locksmiths and CPAs. Not helpful in the slightest.
- [R41] Not very good: No ability to use metric system (critical if you are driving in 95% of the world). Search engine is utter garbage and seems to think every search is for an eatery (restaurant). Crashes in the middle of most routes, so be ready to pull over several times so Here We [don’t] Go can get it together. Hard pass.
- [R4] Good-ish app but better competitors (Google Maps, etc.): Hi. I wish this app had a report a faster route feature because I am finding in my area that Google Maps provides me with faster routes. I googled does here we go let you report faster routes and here is the answer Google Ai gave me: HERE WeGo does not feature a manual, user submitted "report a faster route" button to instantly alter algorit
- [R36] recommendation: it’s okay! i just have a recommendation - perhaps making public transit options live? if you need to take the bus, there’s no option (that i found) to have the app know you’re on the bus, which stop you’re at, and reminding you to get off in 1 stop. having live public transit guidance, like that of driving or walking, would be most beneficial.
- [R38] Suggestion: I didn’t put 5 stars while this app deserves 5 stars, but I have reason to wish the suggestion to be feature to do again rate 5 stars, so the suggestion: why not available satellite mode in offline maps?, put option like “you need satellite with offline but it will take more size” or “without satellite mode and get lower size offline maps” and if you active this feature I hope that qua
- [R236] No offline terrain view: Maps get saved but terrain view is only available if you're online. The only reason for me to use an offline app is because I'm going to driving on unpaved roads. Terrain view was what I needed. The normal map view is useless in my case.
- [R19] Bad navigation and bad sensitivity: I used this app for over a month to give it a good chance and I cannot in good faith recommend this app. It consistently thinks you are getting off exits when you are not, even when in the far left lane from the exit. Not only does the sensitivity consistently cause the app to reroute you, the routes chosen are poorly done. The traffic is over 90% of the time in
- [R32] Inaccurate and annoying: This app has been inaccurate in critical moments. It also has an unhelpful alarm whenever you go 1 mile over the speed limit. I tried this app for 6 months and today I’m deleting it. I hate it. And to the developer who said these features can be turned off, not an iPhone, no they can’t.
- [R34] GPS issues: My problem is it’s a little bit slow making me missing my turns and why can’t I adjust the speeding alert to like 10 over?
- [R45] App is pretty useful: I really like Here WeGo it’s fast, simple, and gets me where I need to go. However, I’ve noticed that when driving, the navigation arrow sometimes feels a bit out of sync. At intersections with several close turns, the arrow can make it seem like the turn is further ahead than it really is, which has caused me to make a wrong turn before. If the team could improve how the arr
- [R22] Outdated, can’t uninstall: The app is outdated & the locations are incorrect & i can’t uninstall the app i restart my phone and still can’t uninstall it ?????
- [R33] Scam: I can’t uninstall this app !!!! It keeps popping back up!! I’m going to show a video of me trying to uninstall it!!!
- [R58] Can’t Delete From Phone?!: I tried using this to download offline maps for a cross country drive, but even with data, audible directions were given LAST MINUTE, meaning I’d miss turns. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I can’t “Remove App” - It just -doesn’t- go away. I don’t want it anymore; I’ve had to remove all permissions to make my regular Maps App work properly again.
- [R23] Gulf of Mexico is correct: The map works great! Found this on BuyfromEU and have not been disappointed. Thank you for giving us an alternative to the privacy invasive US apps!
- [R48] Won't open consistently: I downloaded the app and promptly created "groups" of locations. A nice feature that allows users to have a restaurant group, a medical group, and so on. But those groups don't translate into the CarPlay screen. Worse, most times the app just gave me a blank screen both on my iPhone 16 and on my CarPlay screen. I just removed it.
- [R47] Missing one key feature: The app itself is generally pretty good and offline maps are a plus. The bad thing is there is no voice search while you’re using CarPlay. That means you can’t lookup things without being on your phone while driving
- [R75] Maps are terrible: The map for here is a complete and utter mess. So many businesses smack dab in the middle of the road. Yet when you correct it on Here Map Creator? They reject it with absolutely no explanation at all. You can see where it even says “updated by HERE Team on xxx date”. That’s embarrassing. Here may need to have a sit down with the “Team” and teach them how mapping is really done.
- [R84] Outdated maps: The maps in HERE are severely outdated. They’re not even close to being current with USGS data. It’s a shame it’s gotten so dated. This used to be my go to navigation app.
