Microsoft PowerPoint
Microsoft PowerPoint on mobile is praised for its core functionality in creating presentations, but recent reviews highlight significant issues with app stability, performance, and limited features compared to its desktop counterpart, often requiring a paid subscription for full use.
Microsoft PowerPoint is widely recognized as a powerful tool for creating presentations, with many users finding it essential for school and work. Who it's for
This app is for users who need to view or perform basic edits on PowerPoint presentations on a mobile device, especially if they already have a school or work account R11. It is not for users who expect the full functionality and stability of the desktop version, or those unwilling to pay for a subscription R4R7R103R123.
Evidence note: The recent reviews skew heavily negative, particularly regarding performance and payment requirements, which contrasts with the high lifetime rating. Many positive reviews are very short and generic, offering less detail than the negative ones. The developer's notes mention 'quality and performance enhancements', but recent reviews contradict this, reporting ongoing and severe performance issues.

- [R29] PowerPoint Review: Excellent for assignment, business or conference presentations. Great features that make each page look professional, clean and engaging and I highly recommend it to everyone, students, teachers, business partners. Everyone!! ✨
- [R68] Still the best program: Ppt is still the best presentation software on the market for the person who is not a professional designer or hi tech nerd. I make scores of presentations every year, PowerPoint makes me -someone who can’t draw a cat in Pictionary without people thinking it’s a watermelon with whiskers- look like a professional. It’s my go-to for speech tracks, detailed drawings, and det
- [R24] Best at for work: I have used it for years so straight forward and easy to us great for getting my work done.
- [R27] Amazing app!: Such a great, helpful app - perfect for work school
- [R30] Power point: Good for school
- [R71] PowerPoint presentations: This app really helps you make a PowerPoint for your job or school while you are offline.
- [R62] Amazing app: The app allows you to create beautiful presentations and slideshows. The new Outline features is amazing, and my presentations stand out. Download today!
- [R4] TERRIBLE: I had no access to anything and I didn’t have a keyboard so I paid around £8-9 and I still couldn’t do anything! What a scam! Terrible service! Disappointed and angry! 10 pounds wasted and 30 minutes of my life gone too
- [R7] why do you have to pay?: Absolutely useless! You can't anything ill just downlond an app that actually lets me use it
- [R14] Good but not the best: I mean it’s good but you basically have to pay for most or all of it except what presentation you chose I would give it two or three stars
- [R20] Terrible cost: It costs £8 a month and you can’t even buy it seperate from all Microsoft ads
- [R17] BUG!!!: When I open PowerPoint it just kicks me off I tried re downloading it many times and I can’t use it I’ve tried everything.
- [R33] I wouldn’t use this if I wasn’t forced to: Well my a level coursework requires me to use PowerPoint so I’m doing this for the grade, but this is ridiculous. I can only open up the app once and do whatever on it, then the second I go off the app, it’s over. I can’t reopen the app. It closes the second it opens. There’s only one way around this, I need to uninstall the app every time after I’ve used
- [R42] Diabolical: Keeps changing my font without me asking it too, crashes, lags whenever i copy and paste something, keeps adding bulletpoints?????????
- [R56] Literally wants me to fail: WHY DOES IT KEEP RANDOMLY CRASHING ON A BRAND NEW IPAD PRO AND DELETES ALL THE NOTES I HAD ALREADY TAKEN????????????
- [R8] OPTIMIZE YOUR GODDAMN APPS: you created windows and managed to make PowerPoint so sloppy. OPTIMIZE the app like a good boy.
- [R11] it’s alright but….: i use this on a school account but it seems really glitchy and kinda difficult to use on a phone, j recommend it on a laptop or computer or tablet/ipad a
- [R21] Images: Very bad cuz lata loading
- [R31] Rubbish app and bane of my existence: Glitchy app that does not let me do anything quickly
- [R103] PC Version is a Million Times Better!: Downloaded this app with the expectation that I'd be able to create powerpoint presentations using all the same features and editing tools I use on my laptop only to find 80% of them don't exist on this app! Where's the option to edit text effects? Where's the options for editing the colour of photos? Where's the option to decide the speed and duration of an
- [R123] Extremely Limited and Under Featured: Every time I need to do some real work in PowerPoint on my iPad, I could barely go beyond editing basic text or replacing an image I already inserted and configured from the desktop app. You can’t change the timing of any animations or customize how text is animated, among many other disappointments. Such limitation is completely artificial as we’re in 2024
- [R170] Limited functionality: Very limited functionality compared to desktop app
- [R80] Used to be good, but..: It’s been like two major updates and I still have the same ducking bug. I can’t open any presentation or my app crashes. It does that too with Exel and Word. I am updating again and again but you just don’t fix the bug. It’s annoying, PLEASE repair it.
- [R114] What the heck.: I am doing everything I can including learning how to troubleshoot but half my files wont open for some reason. Same thing with Word. This is very frustrating and I’m using a student account (which I pay for in my tuition every semester) but I can’t be spending hours trying to fix these issues when they should be spent on studying. I have a test tomorrow that I’ll most likely fail
- [R121] Bad: It completely deleted my power point and I was nearly done. So frustrating. It deleted and I was so close to finishing!
- [R35] Horribly frustrating: Absolutely unusable on mobile. Do not install unless you want to rip some hair out.
- [R70] Bad: Hard to work on fix it make it easier
- [R125] Very hard and annoying to navigate on mobile: Other then that, it's ok.
- [R40] OK: This app is great for doing PowerPoint presentations and slide shows but sometimes it just doesn’t allow you to change the background on certain templates which is quite annoying. Also it sometimes doesn’t let you change the pictures on a template. Overall it is a good way to make presentations!
- [R110] Need to fix file browser: Please fix the file browser - even on an iPad, the file names are truncated to the point it’s hard to tell which file you need. Plus the browser should allow you to sort by date or file name. There’s plenty of space on the iPad but I’m sure there’s a better way for iPhone, too. Otherwise, a good app to enable mobile viewing and some editing of PP slides.
- [R115] constantly fails: great when works, but constantly won’t open docs coming from Windows (very frustrating, makes me think about switching out of IOS) also missing many features present in Windows’ PowerPoint
- [R1] The power point maker on earth: The best should try it now
- [R15] MPP: Outstanding, it’s amazing you try it you won’t regret it
- [R60] Freezing: I’ve been struggling with my Microsoft apps on my iPad device. More specifically PowerPoint and Word. I’m not sure as to why they are not working properly, or if it’s just for me. But I have used them for a little over a year, and suddenly they will not function properly. Can anyone fix this or what should I do. I have deleted it, re installed it, shut down my entire iPad, nothing is wor
