Who it's for
Credit Karma is for individuals who want a free tool to monitor their credit scores and financial accounts, especially those looking for basic education and tips on improving their credit R5. It may be less suitable for users who require highly accurate, real-time credit reporting, robust customer support for complex issues, or a distraction-free experience from advertisements and loan offers R1R4R32.
Evidence note: The recent reviews skew significantly negative, with a 0.427 recent-negative signal. This contrasts sharply with the lifetime rating of 4.84, indicating a downward trajectory in user satisfaction. Many recent complaints directly contradict the developer's notes about 'performance improvements and squashed bugs,' as users still report crashes, login issues, and slow updates R4R13R83.

- [R3] Calculating: Excellent
- [R6] Credit: Amazing app
- [R11] Good: Good
- [R15] Great app: Accurate and helpful
- [R1] Not Accurate: This information is never accurate and takes far too long to update. Moreover, finance persons refuse to accept CK information as valid.
- [R7] Credit numbers are false.: They give u 2 credit agency’s numbers that are false. Don’t believe what u see.
- [R13] Slow to keep track of progress.: I refinanced my car loan and now you have my debt for car loans doubled. It’s affecting my credit. Please get it corrected ASAP.
- [R14] Credit report update: I paid huge amounts of debt but not reflecting on my credit report
- [R4] Can’t get into my account: I have been unable to get into my account and nothing is working to resolve and there’s no real support. I keep getting messages like “We're sorry for the inconvenience. A technical issue has unexpectedly occurred. Please try again in a few moments.” This has gone on for weeks! I attempt daily, have researched extensively, and tried everything. There should be a way to g
- [R10] Lu6500: I have been trying to to to open a Spending account for years since you all had this it keeps telling me me for years they can’t verify who I am , an don’t understand I have a credit card karma account with you all so why they can’t verify me for a spending account every time I check this it’s been saying they can’t verify same thing for years still not fixed! I have talked to customer ser
- [R12] My profile: I can not open an account with you guys and I have a nice some of money coming and I want to bank with you guys!! Can you please fix my account????
- [R24] Lack of Follow Through from Customer Support: Decent app. I had issues connecting accounts. Contacted support for help and was largely ghosted. One issue took forever to resolved but eventually was. The other issue never was resolved despite numerous attempts on my end contacting support.
- [R8] Always pushing you to take out more credit: I enjoy the review of my credit but do not like the approach that more credit will help your credit score. I want to pay off debt and be done, not take on more for a better score.
- [R16] update made app useless: the app has been rendered useless after the most recent update; the homescreen is a garbage mess. it wasn’t broken, why change anything? its also nothing but advertisements & fake notifications
- [R32] Infinite notifications: I think the guy who invented the pop up ad became intuit’s CTO or something. I get about 50 (not kidding) push notifications per day. Want to be reminded every 12 minutes that you can open a credit card? Have you forgotten that you could take out a loan? Download this app and you’ll never miss another chance to take advantage of outrageously obnoxious offers.
- [R56] Deleted: When I get an ad on a different app, why is it automatically opening the this one? I will keep it off my phone until I need it again. Yes, I’m deleting it because of their ads in other applications.
- [R31] Now includes AI analyst: Time to delete
- [R51] CK intelligence: That CK intelligence needs to be put elsewhere instead of when tapping on “see what changed”. I like to do my own analysis and not AI
- [R88] Uses AI now…: No one wants AI to be looking at any of their personal stuff. The AI makes too many mistakes and it slows down the retention of information that I just want to look at right away instead of asking an AI to generate some stupid response. Remove the stupid AI and I’ll give you five stars.
- [R62] Sucks: I enter my phone number “too many attempts”… ok… I’ll wait a couple of days… still too many attempts… ok I’ll try another way option that Credit Karma gives me… there is no other option. I refuse to call an agent for an issue I should be able to resolve on my end of things. I’ll use Experian if intuit doesn’t want my business.
- [R83] Can’t even use now: Used to love this app. For years. All of my credit cards with the best rates and perks I found on this app. Not now. You can’t even log into the thing anymore. Nor their website. Haven’t been able to for days. How bad of a company leaves their app and website unusable for days? Sad
- [R9] Please don’t use: Credit Karma isn’t to be trusted. They will accept any lie and listen and believe anything false, negative narrative a merchant tells them. They will allow merchants to double charge you and you dispute it and they will pick and choose what discrepancies they want to address and correct. Don’t let it be over $200 and they seem to instantly deny your dispute with being reasonable.
- [R28] To many personal questions: Far too many questions about my bills and car and insurance none of which has anything to do white my credit score. You don’t need to track my driving for anything
- [R47] Scam 100%: Most of the scamers use this platform to check your credit and lower your credit. Total scam. I immediately deleted the app after realizing the scam. The savings group, Inc contacted me through Credit Karma and scammed me de me. My credit score went down 20 points.
- [R48] Data leak: Used a fingerprint leak to test the company. Either they or a third party company they work with leaked/sold the information.
- [R19] Excellent: I am very happy with my experience with Credit Karma. They have been a big part of my journey to bring up my credit score.
- [R57] Don’t bother: This app will show you a score but it’s never even close to correct! Like 100 points off.
- [R109] Scores are completely inaccurate: The Credit Karma scores are not close. Not once have I pulled my credit and it’s been close.. would be a good app if it was accurate
- [R26] Disappointed: Does not update payments that you make
- [R55] Bad design: Whoever designed this app, if there is an error while finding an user credit profile, then there should be a way to resolve it in the app. A chat option or email or some way to open a ticket for team. You can’t just say error finding your account and no way to fix it.
- [R114] Remove the USELESS AI: One of the most useful features of this app was the “See what changed” for credit scores. It has been replaced with a “CK Intelligence” AI chatbot. If the responses for it were accurate or meaningful that would be one thing, but they’re entirely inaccurate and give no actual reasoning for score changes now.
