However I would strongly recommend trying the free version before wasting money on this app. My main reason for dislike is the lack of OCR integration that many other apps of this type include. However, when scanning documents with color background and not very bold text, the B&W filter often produces washed out, illegible text, with no way to adjust the output (e.g. make it darker or enhance black contrast).
