What the developer says changed (the verdict above weighs this against what reviewers report):

This update makes some subtle but big improvements: - explainer screens on the reconciliation import / export, the import item and import images flows. - if not linked with Dropbox, imports and exports can now be processed with the standard system file choosers - tweak for check in / out mode and lost items - a new offline / free mode persistent banner - prevent category prefilling if your category field has been renamed - added support for xls file imports and improved validation and added leniency for item imports

Recurring themes

Data Loss & Bugs negative
Many recent reviews report critical issues such as entire inventories disappearing, items not saving, app crashes, freezing during barcode scans, and search functions failing. This contradicts the developer's notes which mention 'subtle but big improvements' and 'tweaks', as these are fundamental operational failures.R8R31R36R37
Subscription & Pricing negative
Users are frustrated by a perceived shift from a free/one-time purchase model to a subscription, often without warning, locking them out of existing inventory or requiring additional payments for syncing across devices. The free version has a 20-item limit.R1R6R8R35
Customer Support mixed
There's a strong divide in feedback regarding customer support. Many users praise the developer for being responsive, helpful, and quick to address issues or implement requested features. However, a significant number of recent negative reviews report no response to support emails, especially after critical data loss.R4R5R10R11
Ease of Use positive
Many users find the app intuitive, simple, and easy to learn, making it effective for managing inventory without complex POS systems.R2R15R16R39
Missing Features negative
Reviewers frequently request features such as the ability to add multiple photos per item, customizable fields (color, size, SKU), better reporting (customer names, time-bound exports), multi-warehouse support, and improved barcode scanning that pulls product data.R19R21R25R27

Who it's for

This app is for small business owners, eBay sellers, or individuals who need a simple, mobile-friendly way to track inventory, sales, and profits . It is particularly useful for those who appreciate direct developer support and a straightforward interface R5R11R17. However, users who require robust data backup, reliable syncing across multiple devices, extensive customization, or advanced reporting features should be cautious R31R32.

Evidence note: The recent reviews skew heavily negative, particularly regarding data loss, syncing issues, and the subscription model. This contrasts sharply with the high lifetime rating, suggesting a significant negative trajectory in user experience following recent updates. The developer's notes mention 'explainer screens' and 'standard system file choosers' for imports/exports, but reviews indicate fundamental problems with data integrity and saving, which are more severe than minor usability improvements.

  7. [R11] 5/5 · US Great app and customer service!!!: We have been using this app to track the weekly harvest from our family-owned farm. Logan has been very helpful tweaking the app so we can set the items not sold as perishable (loss tracking). This app has helped us a lot in our small business. Highly recommend the app and you rarely find a developer that gets involved directly in customer service. Thanks!!!
  8. [R17] 5/5 · US The best inventory management you will find: This is without any doubt the best inventory management app you can ever find in the App Store. It helped organizing the work flow of my small business and enhance the efficiency. I don’t have to worry about losing track of my items going forward. In addition to that, the developer of this app is a fantastic guy, who is very very helpful. And every ti
  9. [R3] 5/5 · US Awesome App: This app has really helped my business, it’s an awesome app and I suggest everyone looking for an inventory app to get his one, you will not regret it! My business wouldn’t survive if it wasn’t for this app, it has benefited so much. This is the way to go and I wouldn’t change for anything. Thank you so much!
  10. [R14] 5/5 · US SIMPLY AMAZING!: I have a fairly large tire shop with thousands of tires in inventory. I used to work this inventory using excel, but this app is a game changer! Not only can I use it on my iPhone and Mac, it works online with window’s based PC’s as well! Now my associates and myself can have the inventory synced up in our office and in our phones!
  11. [R20] 5/5 · US Great Product and Customer Service: We use this on the craft show circuit to track inventory and sales at each show. It works great for a business that does not have a lot of standard inventory and we can export each shows transactions which makes accounting and reconciling inventory easy. When we had an issue, the developer worked closely with us to solve it in a timely fashion. Definitely wor
  12. [R22] 5/5 · US Awesome!: Perfect for my shop- easy to use, very quick response for help, love that you can take pictures of your inventory!! I highly recommend!
  13. [R26] 5/5 · US Love it: This is a perfect and cost friendly app to track your inventory. The multi-location function and low stock warnings are a welcome addition compared to other inventory apps I found.
  14. [R54] 5/5 · US Great Inventory App: I'm a technician required to carry a ton of parts in my car. This app has proven essential! It's easy to customize: I imported part numbers and titles via my old spreadsheet; add new parts, and check parts in/out via the barcode scanner. I can search part numbers and know right away if I have it. I use it everyday and wish I had found it sooner! Thanks!
  15. [R70] 5/5 · US Works Great for multi user inventory: This is the only app I could find that supports multi user that doesn't require everyone to be on the same iTunes account. So you can just give your employees $5 to buy the app and you can all sync over the private cloud service in the app. It works automatically and instantly.
  16. [R8] 1/5 · US Bad Support: I used the free version for years. They decided to make it a paid service without giving any warning now my inventory is locked up with no way to retrieve it. I would pay except they are 2 different apps.
  17. [R31] 1/5 · US A Nightmare!!!: I would give this a negative reviews if I could!! I pulled up the app today to find that all of my inventory is gone!!!! It shows I have absolutely 0 items in inventory!!! That is hours and hours of work all gone!! Truly a nightmare! I will be looking for a new inventory management system today!
  18. [R36] 1/5 · US They deleted my 1 year-long inventory: Thanks a bunch. All my inventory is gone. Then an answer to contact them, they never answer.
  19. [R51] 1/5 · US Seems to work great, but...: Was nifty. I set auto backup. It deleted everything and there is no way to restore from backup. Disappointed.
  20. [R32] 1/5 · US Doesn’t sync, messed up my inventory, CS does not respond: We have only 2 devices, and this app can’t keep track of inventory and sync 2 iPhones. My inventory is messed up! Customer service doesn’t even reply. And it is a PAID SOFTWARE!!
  21. [R59] 1/5 · US Not dependable: I put my entire inventory in this and it lost all my important bar pads and serial numbers and photos. Update. It does not sync well. I delete an item on one device and the other one puts it back on. I can get no help from support. Also, the iPad version is way too expensive. It should be a universal app.
  22. [R149] 3/5 · US Could Be Better: It could be better if it let you sync without paying a sync price. Also if it let you open a new list. Other than that it does what I need to do. To the programmers, allow opening of new list in case a person had more than one store and to sepetate the list to see which category sells the most
  23. [R240] 1/5 · CA Misleading: I had to sign up on my iphone and my ipad, then found out after paying both that to sync them it is another 5.79/month! No thanks!
  24. [R1] 4/5 · US Locks: This app looks great but I couldn’t try the features. The price is reasonable. However, the app locks at 20 items of inventory in the free version. I didn’t realize that would happen so I didn’t try all the features before it locked. I also did not have a chance to export the inventory before it locked, so it wasted 2 hrs of my time.
  25. [R6] 1/5 · US Subscription cost for over 20 items is $60 a year: Just looking for free simple app.
  26. [R35] 1/5 · US They should not update: I stopped using this app after recent update. New updated app is literally “New app, with different data format and payment plan. I bought iphone and ipad app. But my app status is now ‘trial’ and ask to subscribe monthly payment. I talked to the developer about the data format but he didn’t understand still. So I gave off. He should leave the old app and build new one.
  27. [R19] 5/5 · US Great but could use a couple more features: This is a great little app if you just need something simple to track you inventory. Would love two things added though: a place to input additional expenses, like office supplies or bulk shipping costs. Currently there is no place to track any expenses. I’d also like the ability to add more than 1 photo so I could add a photo of the item as well as a ph
  28. [R21] 3/5 · US Needs some extra features: I like this. What I think needs to be added and/or changed 1) be able to add multiple photos of items (I sell swim wear I need to see the front and back of the item) 2) add color option 3) add size option 4) make fields customizable That’s all I can think of that is missing for my needs in an app right now.
  29. [R25] 3/5 · US Would give 5 but need to take more pix of items: Great user friendly app but you should be able to add more than one photo. I need to take multiple pix of my items. Please add this option
  30. [R27] 4/5 · US More detailed reporting!: Loving this app...I’m wondering when you sell an item if you can include the “customer name” so we can more easily track where orders are going. Repeat customers, etc... Also, is there a way the export file can be timebound? If I pull a file each month and want to see what I’m selling each month it’s difficult when the file any time stamped. Even adding a column for”date
  31. [R37] 1/5 · US .: Literally bought this moments ago. it loaded once, froze, and now will not start. Edit 11/4: in response to dev answer - I should hope so, I posted this review six years ago...
  32. [R101] 3/5 · US It has a great start: It's has a great start, but getting really aggravating that it's screen freezes when I try to take picture of barcodes. If they could fix this I would definitely give it more stars!!
  33. [R131] 2/5 · US Inventory App: Second time trying to use app. Crashed -unable to decide if I like it.
  34. [R181] 3/5 · US Could be better: Mine keeps freezing on me & it's not letting me posts pics if my inventory!
  35. [R96] 1/5 · US Does not search barcode database: Doesn't pull in data from a barcode database so useless for a small craft business. Waste of ~$5
  36. [R204] 3/5 · US Not Very Accurate: The application is good if you want to keep track of all your items in a store, but I bought this app for the barcode capabilities, and for that use it is worthless. Yes it has the function, but it isn't always accurate. Every barcode I try to scan, there may be 3 different outputs it gives me. For instance, if you had a barcode with 12 digits, 2 out of those 12 digits will almo
  37. [R10] 1/5 · US No support: I downloaded and paid for the full package based on the reviews. I received several welcome emails mentioning I could email anytime to receive help with questions/concerns. I have sent 4 emails about a very simple question and have never received any support. Very disappointed and haven’t used the app since.
  38. [R215] 1/5 · US Not Recomended: It doesn't work how it says it does, not very costomizable, and loses data. Emailed the developer and got no response. I wouldn't waste the money.
  39. [R187] 3/5 · US Misleading!!: I bought this app after trying out the light version. It's pretty misleading that you can add photos on the lite app but you can't do it when you pay $3 for the full version!! That doesn't even make sense - why am I losing features but paying more money??
