1. [R1] 5/5 · CA LOVE Lingo Legend: I discovered Lingo Legend when I was struggling to learn hiragana and katakana as a beginner Japanese student. The FUN repetition gameplay of the adventure card game really made learning much easier for me. Then they introduced the farm mode, and made learning twice as fun with game styles for everyone.

The one thing I’m disappointed with is how limited you are to watch ads. After just 4-5 ads I’m left with the “no ads available” screen. It’s great for very beginners like myself who have to start with the basics and build up from there. Definitely on my “Recommended This!” list!!

But the 3 first chapters in this unit are teaching me basic vocabulary like man, boy, baby… which I’ve known for years. While the game is cute, I am not sure how helpful it will be since it is not teaching me what I was classified for.
