It's particularly suited for players with larger screens like iPads due to the complex interface . - [R1] Best game: An amazing game and won worthy of the title with seventeen and more factions two choose from it is an amazing game,e
- [R10] Equal to or greater than 3K: This game is world building crack! I played years of Total War 3K. Started playing this while my computer is down and can’t put down my iPad. 12/10 rating
- [R13] The best strategy game: I’ve been playing this game since it first came out and put hundreds if not thousands of hours into it during my high school years. So I had to pick this up, and sure enough it’s as good as the PC version OTHER than the bugs you’ll encounter when trying to maneuver multiple units during battles. But that’s not nearly enough to take a dent out of the 5th star
- [R20] Fantastic strategy game: One of the best strategy games ever on the go. Touch controls work surprisingly good for a game designed to be used with KB/M. I’ve played it on my old iPhone XR phone and now on my iPhone 17 pro max and it has ran great on both. UI has been simplified for mobile. They did a great job with this port. If you enjoy strategy games, you will love this game.
- [R4] My personal ideas and thoughts on this game: This is a cool game and if you want to have big battles and cool strategy, then this is the game for you. Yes it does take a chunk of your bank account but it’s worth it. The reason for 4 stars is, well, the price. Also I don’t know if the developer would do this but, I think it would be cool if you could be one of the soldiers. This is my honest review
- [R15] LOVE IT: I play TW warhammer 3 on my HP omen and I absolutely love it. I was sitting at work scrolling Facebook and seen a video and just wanted to know what grand strategy games were on the iPhone, and hot damn they have one of the best franchises to ever do it!!! Definitely bought and downloaded 15 minutes into my shift and now not a lick of work is getting done on my CMM today haha
- [R33] Great Game: I don’t write reviews much, but I thought I owe at least this much for how much entertainment this game has provided for me. In this masterful port, Feral had made the TWM2 experience available for mobile gamers like me. All the mechanics runs smoothly and captures the classic Med2 experience, although the controls do take a while to get used to if you’re new to mobile TW games. Overal
- [R21] I don’t always leave a review…: That being said, I couldn’t not for this game. An excellent example of seamless integration from a PC real-time strategy classic to a on the phone real time strategy classic that does not disappoint and does not diminish gameplay or content! I also recently heard that total war got the Warhammer 40k IP and will be making a Warhammer 40 K RTS game. This has me quakin
- [R70] Great Game!: Feral did a great job with this Medieval 2 port. The touch controls are pleasant to use, even on the battle screen. I would like to make one request to the developers: could you please add a “merge all” button that merges all units of the same time in a single army?I spend way too much time merging depleted units after a battle. And then when the Black Death came, there was so much me
- [R46] Amazing: They even patched the two handed weapons bug from the original game. Fixed pike formations from the original. This and Rome now run smooth and don’t overheat my phone. Guess they optimized them. It’s incredible how they’ve made these games run on phones. Nothing like the classic total war games. Already have hundreds of hours put into this and will put hundreds more in. Thanks Chinese m
- [R55] Crashes less than empire: !
- [R62] Amazing. Could play all day: This was my favorite game on pc as a teenager. Family haf a cheap processor hooked up to an old white box monitor. Not only is this game EXACTLY the way it was on pc, it actually runs smoother on my iPad than it did on that old bargain processor. This game is a bargain. The campaign is as good as ever and although I feared I wouldn’t be able to customize battles (a
- [R3] Sucks: This game sucks AND it runs horribly. I can’t stress enough how horribly the game truly runs
- [R7] Crash: Crashes randomly all the time, latest iphone & ios
- [R9] Big battles = crash: I loved this game back in the day, and was so excited to see it offered on a mobile platform. HOWEVER, don’t bother trying to fight the Mongols. Their armies are so huge, this app is almost guaranteed to crash. Beyond frustrating, especially after you’re already an hour or so invested in your carefully planned out and executed battle. Your options to reduce the graphics lo
- [R11] Fix crashing issue please: I’ve had this game for years and absolutely love it, however have not been able to play for the last few months because every time I open the app it it loads and when I hit play it crashes. Love this game, want to give it 5 stars but I haven’t been able to play for months. Please fix
- [R14] Archers charge into battle instead of shooting arrows: WTF- Cannot for the life of me stop my archers from charging into battle. Melee switched on or off, line of sight is good, guard mode activated… those guys just want to charge to their death! Just got this game on iPad to try out. Looked up online and this seems to be a problem for years. Very frustrating for someone trying to learn the ga
- [R18] Love Hate Relationship: I love the game, but hate the mechanics. AI doesn’t operate with any logic. I like the battles, but the campaign mode gets too frustrating
- [R8] Waste: So you’re telling me I spent all this money just to have to pay even more money to unlock the other half of the game. What a waste!
- [R37] Really good can the dlc campaigns be free?: I really love this game but can the dlc be free it isn’t fair that you have to pay
- [R39] Greed: The game is med 2 one of the best total wars it’s an amazing game and their phone version isn’t too bad, my issue is the greed with DLC you pay basically full price for the game which in steam gives you all the DLC since this game is very old instead they up charge every DLC and kick their new updates like hot-seat behind it most computers can run this game so if your just playing from home
- [R59] Cavalry?: This game is a complete scam, you buy it for 15 dollars and then have to pay even more to unlock the full game, I don’t mind that much since the game is fun but what I find a huge problem is that even on easy battles one group of cavalry can’t kill 1 group of Norse archers cause of some stupid bug where either cavalry doesn’t run or when it does it doesn’t charge, it just runs at the ene
- [R23] Won’t launch: Can’t launch game. iPad Pro m4. Why I try to start game it says incompatible is detected and closes itself. I have iPad Pro m4 on iPad os 26. What’s up with that?
- [R36] Don't Update Unless Your Ready: I love to play this game . After update , I can't even touch anything . Keep telling me Sync .
- [R246] Can’t play: I can’t play just because I need iOS 15 update which is dumb why can’t you play on any version of the iPhone
- [R262] Update broke the game, support don’t respond!: The actual game is great and I spent a lot of time on it, but when it was updated a few weeks ago the game will open but cannot press play. Contacted support and still no response after I gave a couple of weeks to respond. Poor
- [R2] please make it mod accessable: or have it like DOOM where they have pre installed mods built in. make it more replayable. even if you added 10 preinstalled mods we could use. it would still be amazing and add so much more replay value
- [R5] This game is awesome but will iOS support mod support like android: This port is probably the best one I have kingdoms as well but I’d say it lacks replay ability so can you please allow mobile mod support like on pc or androids I’m using iOS iPad and wanna play great mods like tsardoms Finale rating 5 stars
- [R19] I hope they add: Best game out there but I just wish they add multiplayer gameplay or multiplayer campaign
- [R27] New update: Do in next update (Multiplayer online)
- [R255] Great game - but it’s not for mobile: I loved this game on PC. But it isn’t a mobile game. It’s not as fun and you can’t effectively command armies on the battlefield on a phone. It’s too clunky and the phone just limits your immersion. So you can only auto resolve which is annoying because most battles you lose you would easily win if you fight it yourself. Reconsider downloading this app. Get
- [R269] Disappointed: Good to see such a classic on mobile. Unfortunately there are two issues: 1) The “automatically resolve battle” functionality is broken. You will virtually always lose if you use it, even if the opponents are far weaker. It’s impractical to fight every battle manually. 2) The controls are unnecessarily difficult and buggy.
- [R17] FIX THE DIPLOMACY: Jesus Christ fix it already! The AI still refuses to make peace forcing me to have to fight pointless dumb wars! Fix the diplomacy on hard/ very hard difficulty pleas it’s so annoying!
- [R249] Fix this bug: I just put all my high their characters on my fleet and they just all deleted this inst the first time it’s happened it also sometimes happens in settlement please fix
- [R6] Seamless.: Only reason I didn’t give it 5 was that they partially reverted a change so that you can no longer use the hotseat balance fixes in grand campaign. I loved those balance fixes because it made certain tier 4 and 5 buildings actually cost-effective in the late game.
- [R24] Update ruined it: After the update the shell and cheat input no longer work. Pressing the top corners no longer brings the shell menu to input commands/cheats. (iPhone 17 Pro Max)
- [R25] Hotseat bug: Love this game but I tried to fight a defensive battle in hotseat mode and despite having selected that I wish to have all battles be playable before starting my campaign the game just auto resolves every defensive battle. (this happened in crusaders campaign)
- [R43] Amazing game, but sadly bugged: I love Medieval 2: Total War on mobile. It’s what introduced me to the series before I got it on computer so I play it a lot. The new update is AMAZING, but I have a persistent bug when I play single player now. The new hotseat rebalance is a cool addition to hotseat games, but it seems that the rebalance has also now somehow became enabled in my single player games
- [R22] Please Chinese: Chinese,please
- [R58] Dear Creative Assembly/SEGA team: Dear Creative Assembly/SEGA team: ** I am a strategy game enthusiast from China. I recently bought the iOS version of Total War: MEDIEVAL II on the App Store for **$9.9**. Although I appreciate the historical reduction and strategy depth of the game, unfortunately, the current version ** lacks simplified Chinese support**, which makes it very difficult for me to u
- [R69] The game is good, but there is no Chinese.: The game is good, but there is no Chinese.
- [R233] Need to Chinese: More languages especially Chinese are needed
- [R60] Multiplayer: There needs to be multiplayer plus the pope needs to stop excommunicating me for defending myself and can there be mods?
- [R241] Why: Why are their no mods
- [R63] Horrible interface: The interface is just abysmally bad. If I hadn’t paid $ for the game, I’d delete it. As it is, I’ll try to struggle through and make some sense of it. Literally the worst interface of any browser game I’ve ever played - and I’ve played plenty.
- [R66] Great game but hard to operate: This is my favorite PC game and it definitely caught my eye when I saw it was on mobile so I had to get it. I understand it’s hard turning a PC game to mobile but it’s pretty difficult to use the game. The graphics are very smooth but still it’s hard for me to even operate the game.
- [R68] Fine overall. Battle mode UI needs work: Playing in battle mode is a very frustrating experience. Single taps are registered as full orders, which means I’m repeatedly giving out bad orders simply by scrolling around the battlefield trying to find the very well camouflaged enemies. I think the devs did perhaps the best job possible translating this very old, PC oriented video game onto iOS. But t
- [R196] Horrible without mouse and keyboard: Even with a new ipad pro the game is laggy with any unit size over medium. The touch controls in combat are some of the worst ive ever seen. This feels like a low effort port more then anything else.
- [R154] A good game, but has a few problems: My only question is, why can’t you by kingdoms expansion in the game? It won’t yet me buy it, no matter how many times I try to click on it or press with my finger. Please fix whatever is going on here.
- [R32] Great port, but…: It needs control controller support, backbone pro or any controller support like that would make it so much easier. My fingers freeze up, my forearms and hands begin to cramp which has prevented me from playing this very fun title time and time again when I want to come back to it.
