Fitness Verv
Fitness Verv offers effective short workouts and personalized plans, making it potentially worth paying for if you prioritize convenience and structured routines, but be aware of technical issues and limited variety.
Fitness Verv provides short, effective workouts and personalized plans, which many users find convenient for busy schedules. However, the app has significant issues with logging workouts, crashing, and limited exercise variety, making the paid subscription questionable for some users.
Free vs paid
The free version appears to offer individual exercise instructions, but lacks free video workouts that were previously available R1. The paid subscription, which can cost up to $69.99, unlocks personalized workout plans, running programs, music mixes, meditation sections, and meal recipes R2R19R16R32. Some users feel the free content is insufficient, while others find the paid features to be a good value.
Value complaints

- The app lacks basic functionalities like casting to TV or comprehensive meal plans, which are expected for a paid service.R24R37R41
- Many features advertised or expected are either missing or poorly implemented, such as weightlifting options or personalized exercises for joint issues.R4R7R33
- Significant technical issues like crashing, freezing, and not logging workouts diminish the value of the paid subscription.R12R18R39R43

It is worth paying if you are new to working out and need structured, short routines, especially if you are a busy individual like a parent with limited time R5R15R47. It is also beneficial if you appreciate personalized workout plans, running programs, and meditation features, and find value in the provided music mixes R19R20R32.
You should skip paying if you are looking for extensive exercise variety, as many users find the sequences repetitive R5R42. Also, skip if you require reliable workout tracking and app stability, as numerous reviews report crashing, freezing, and failure to log completed workouts R12R18R39R43. If you need detailed international food tracking or the ability to cast workouts to a TV, this app may not meet your needs R37R41.
Evidence note: Reviews are somewhat polarized, with many 5-star ratings praising the effectiveness and convenience of workouts, while numerous 1-star ratings highlight significant technical flaws and value concerns. Recent reviews frequently mention crashing and logging issues, which contrasts with the high lifetime rating.

- [R2] Workouts: I want to be able to select a part of the body I want to work out. Instead I got a work out plan. I dont want that and I feel I was tricked into purchasing this app
- [R9] Useless: Information is useless in the premium version of the app. Instantly regretted paying for membership and haven’t used it since. Will be disputing my charge.
- [R27] Misleading App Advertising: The ad for this app shows a cartoonish person running with the goals to choose from I bought the subscription, but there’s not much motivation. You can find the same exercises on YouTube for free. I thought the app was going to provide a visual of my progress. Don’t waste your money.
- [R31] No pay: I thought i would not have to pay smh 🤦🏽♀️ good app tho 😘
- [R24] Meal Plan?: I signed up for the meal plan and once I downloaded and paid for the app, it doesn’t give you a meal plan at all. I can see options for recipes, but you’re only given access for the one day of recipes. How are you supposed to grocery shop for the week if you don’t get an actual plan?!?!?!?
- [R37] Not very please with app: I am not very pleased with this app because you cannot cast to your TV.
- [R41] Lacks ability to cast to TV: This app would be really excellent if there was a subscribe to option and you could get on screen notifications and schedule your exercises throughout the day. DOES NOT ALLOW CAST TO TV to view workouts on a larger screen. App support is responsive but I will cancel my subscription until further improvements are made.
- [R4] False advertisement: I downloaded this app to help me out in the gym while lifting weights (like it advertise it on Instagram). I don’t see any options for the weight lifting.
- [R7] Recommended exercises I can’t do: Since I have an auto immune disorder, I have issues with my knees and hips. I was very excited when I saw that the app asked if I had these issues. I thought GREAT! They will show me exercises I can do! Um....nope! Lunges, clam shells, squats, and weighted squats. Why ask about joint issues if the app is just going to ignore what you say.
- [R33] Difficult to use: Not specific to individuals needs. Wish I can get my money back
- [R12] Not recording workouts: I have had several workouts that do not get recorded. The screen freezes or disappears. Sometimes the workout will stop midway and then begin the next one. It is frustrating because I got the app to record progress. Additionally, for the fitness workouts try to group standing and reclining exercises together. I have autoimmune disorders that prevent me from going up and do
- [R18] Started my first workout and app is crashing.: Sleek app, I like the look, I like the interface but I opened it up for day 2 of 21 Day Challenge and it said to complete day 1. I did day 1 over again thinking I stopped before the work out registered. Nope it crashes at the rate the work out screen. I skipped through day one 3 times to test this. Needless to say I’m dissatisfied. I’ll try somethi
- [R39] Turns off mid run: I am so disappointed. I have loved this app but for the last 3 months or so it just stops working mid run - I get frustrated trying to keep up with the interval and then I look at my phone and it has just stopped. Then I have to start it over skip ahead and it doesn’t count as a completed run. Are there any fixes in place for this?
- [R43] Doesn’t log my workouts when complete: I like the workouts, but when I finish the workout it doesn’t log it as complete and wants me to repeat the same workout again as if I hadn’t done it yet
- [R6] Verv: Best weight loss app ever!!
- [R13] Full fitness short plan: Doing 9 minutes a day to start recovering my fitness and already feel little pain all over. Best 9 minutes ever to start the day.
- [R15] Best Workout App: I’ve always had a hard time working out. I felt that I just didn’t have enough time in my day to get in the car and go to the gym. I’m a mom of 3, I work full time so my schedule is pretty busy. With these workouts it’s only 10 - 20 minutes very simple but effective.
- [R17] I absolutely love this app: Seriously it works me out and I don’t have to go to the gym
- [R20] Love: Great workouts for yourself and others! Love that I feel like this is for me I told them what my goals were and just like that workouts just for me!
- [R29] Good app: Love how it’s getting to know me and trying to set my goal weight
- [R32] Amazing & Helpful: I did the 1 week free trial and was 100% satisfied after the first day of having it so I purchased the year subscription. Makes working out easier and convenient. Plans all my workouts for me and has SO much to offer within the app.
- [R47] Ready!!: So far I love it!! Been searching for something “dummy proof”, and here it is, eat this on these days, do these workouts these days!! Cant wait for the results!
- [R16] A New Start to Healthier Me: Not looking for a silver bullet. I am a newbie and I liked what appears to be the simplicity of the App. Really like the easy to make recipes for all meals and snacks for 30 days. That was a big attraction for me. I’m very hopeful and will share my progress. Day 1 - 4/14/21 🤞👍😊 Sharon
- [R19] Worth the yearly subscription!: I love the running programs this app offers. The music mixes are LEGIT! My son uses the meditation section to fall asleep. I noticed a change in his behavior and his sleeping habits. It’s worth the yearly subscription!
- [R38] Low Amount of Diet Information but great otherwise: I really enjoy the exercise component, especially the quick short workouts which I use during my study breaks. However, I do wish they had more diet plans such as the Carnivore Diet. I have been using it for my autoimmune disorder with great success. I figured that with a Keto plan that they would be a little more informed. Besides that (which is
- [R5] Ok Apo: This is an Ok app if you are new to working out. I like that it has real human shoeing the different sets. The exercises, though, have VERY little variety and the sequences are repetitive. The sound of the beeping between exercises is annoying and if you are playing your own music it - the beep- interferes with the music. Also, the names of the exercise series change but the actual sets a
- [R46] Fantastic👏: This app is life changing❤️ and so trendy and stylish as well!
- [R1] Not the same…: I was using this app back in December/January and now I am disappointed to find, there are no free videos only individual exercise instructions.
- [R8] Sierra: Hey so I’m new to the app and I was wondering if I press get plan for I have to pay money? If you could respond soonish it would be a big help and if you can’t that’s fine to. I’m sure you have lots to do.
- [R11] Disappointed!: I’ll start by saying when I started using the app in the free trial, I LOVED it!! I loved it so much on my phone, I went and bought a brand new Apple Watch so I can use it outdoors with my Bluetooth headphones and watch instead of having to bring my iPhone. Tested multiple times and as soon as I would be more than 25 feet from my house, it would say “disconnected from your iPhone”.
- [R35] Cant access app: The first week or so I was able to log in and track everything. Since then, I’m unable to access the app. I’ve deleted it and redownloaded. I’ve reset my phone, and made sure all updates have been done. Pretty frustrating.
- [R42] Not a good variety of exercise: I liked it at first but after few days I realized there’s not a lot of exercise. They all keep repeating ,
