Who it's for
FitOn is for individuals looking for a wide variety of free, guided at-home workouts with engaging trainers R2R5R6R10. It is particularly well-suited for those who are gym-shy or prefer working out in their own environment R5R10. It may not be ideal for true beginners who need very gentle introductions to exercise R11, or for users who rely heavily on casting to a TV or seamless smartwatch integration without paying for a subscription R8R16R31R34.
Evidence note: The recent reviews skew heavily negative, particularly regarding app stability and monetization changes. This contrasts sharply with the high lifetime rating. The 'App Stability' theme is strongly supported by multiple recent reviews, indicating a significant, current issue. Evidence for 'Monetization & Upselling' is also robust. Evidence for 'Lack of new content' is thinner, based primarily on one review R26.

- [R2] 100% Recommend: This is an amazing app for those looking to squeeze in workouts at home, looking for an alternative to expensive fitness programs or just wanting to ensure they have access to fitness options anytime. I use the workouts routinely as part of my fitness plan and have slowly invested in some at home workout supplies as I’ve looked to challenge myself (weights, mats etc). I love the va
- [R5] Amazing App: This app is truly amazing. It is quite literally a gym in your pocket. You have so many trainer and workout options, with varying times and intensities. The best part is that it’s all for free. I absolutely love the app as someone who is gym shy. I can workout at my own pace in my own environment. I am really happy with this app.
- [R6] You Will not regret: This app is amazing. Easy to use. Free. All sorts of workout. It allows you the flexibility to choose time frames and types of workouts. There are challenges as well. There is literally no excuse to not workout with this app
- [R14] BEST APP EVER: This is truly the best workout app I have ever tried. It truly is free, and there are hundreds of really affective workouts on it. I have seen results in under 4 weeks! Completely recommend this app 😊
- [R22] Loooove this app: I have been using it for at least 4 years, it saved me from through COVID and I feel like I know in person to the trainers whom they are great, they keep the workouts fun and inspiring hope they continue forever, this is app is part of my daily routine and it keeps me motivated and excited to come back and like they say feeling good about showing up for myself
- [R23] Best App EVER!: I love how versatile fiton is. They have amazing instructors and vast verity of workouts! I tell all my friends and family about this app because I love it so much. You can tailor the app to fit your physical needs:) Thanks fiton!! You are all incredible people🙏
- [R30] Exceeded all my expectations: I never write reviews but I’m so impressed by this app (did not buy the pro version). There’s so many various workouts available and the quality of the trainers is incredible. Highly recommend!
- [R35] Love this app: I personally have been in an on/off relationship with fitness most of my adult life. I am a running enthusiast but knee problems have stopped that. I have had had this app for about one year and In aug 2022 I decided to commit to it with the pro version . I love the different lengths, types, styles of workouts. There is a massive variety which I appreciate and I think the trainers a
- [R10] Love It!: Absolutely love this app and highly recommend it to anyone whether you are just starting out on your fitness journey or are already “fit” - I feel like there is something for everyone. This app has been a great help to me during my fitness journey, and I have definitely been noticing that what was once hard, is becoming easier. I’m not comfortable with going to a gym, so this allows me t
- [R40] App does not work right now: For the last few days it’s won’t open beyond the quote page when it first launches.
- [R41] App currently not working: I use this app everyday- and for the last two days it hasn’t loaded past the first page with the quote. Completely disappointed currently.
- [R42] Doesn’t work anymore: My app starts up and never gets past the opening screen. It used to work. And, now it does not. Please fix it.
- [R45] App won’t open: Since last update the app won’t open. It only shows the main quote as usual without opening. Fix it please!! I love the app and have been using it for over a year and would like to continue…
- [R8] From 5 stars to 1: I have used FitOn for a couple years now and have told many people about it. I loved the feature to Apple air play or chrome cast to my tvs for no charge. Now there is a fee to be able to do so. It is very unfortunate that they have to make you do it. You will now be loosing a user I am sure many more people will be no longer using as well with the downgrade they have done.
- [R15] Truly is the best workouts app: Started using it during the pandemic. It’s the one app that workouts are free without any restrictions! You can even create a personalized plan based on the area of your body you are trying to work on. I love it! However, you can longer cast to your tv for free anymore :(
- [R16] Money grubbing: I used to love this app, and recommended it to everyone. The workouts were free, and I could cast them to my tv. Paid subscription was an option, but just for the ‘extras’. But no more! Now they want a paid subscription to be able to cast to a bigger screen! And even on my phone, when I try to do the meditations, the video stalls and buffers - not really conducive to a relaxing med
- [R17] Used to be amazing: This app used to be amazing. All the workouts are free you just needed to pay to do the plans etc. find with me. Until yesterday, it made me download the updated version and now casting it to my TV so I can actually see the workout now costs money. Why?? Why would you do that?? I used to recommend this app to everybody now I don’t and will probably stop using it.
- [R4] Upselling is insane: I got 7 emails in the first four days after downloading this app. Then an email a day after. I unsubscribed twice to emails and I still get them. I got notification every day until I turned them off. Everywhere in the app are prompts to BUY BUY BUY. This is exhausting so I am deleting the app going forward. They didn’t even offer a trial period.
- [R28] Greedy: Constantly pushing you to spend money on their “courses” doesn’t tell you what to do for workout or anything at all. Terrible app made by terrible people that only care about money. Greedy scum
- [R12] Good if your doing solo workouts: I was so excited when I found this app and was even willing to pay for the Pro until I realized you can’t invite or share unless both you and your friend are pro. I thought if I paid then I could at least share the workouts and do them together, but was disappointed to learn we cannot
- [R25] I LOVE it buuuuut: I love this app and I am a pro user. But it is not working with my old apple watch. I have been messaging with the rep but it hasn’t solved and obviously they don’t support the old watches which most of the other apps like Noom supports :(
- [R31] Disappointed that it doesn’t connect with Samsung watch: I do 10k steps daily. However, the app does not have a way to connect with Samsung watch. Hence not able to account for the steps. This makes it unable for me to achieve steps challenge goals
- [R7] No response: I bought the 24.99 year plan and I can’t access it. Reached out no response tried to restore doesn’t work. Very disappointing
- [R48] 14 day trial a scam: I purchased the Pro Subscription only on the promise of a 14 day trial. I discovered it was not what what would work for me. I unsubscribed the next day and there is nowhere within the App to apply the refund for the trial. I tried with Apple as well and they denied my claim. Beware before subscribing to the Pro. It’s wrong and false advertising.
- [R26] No updates: I used to love this app and subscribed for a full year. A few short months later, the updates and new content waned. I haven’t had any new content for 4+ months. Also, the iphone 7 version contains more content than iPhone 10. How is that possible? Sessions tab doesn’t exist for 10 and I was told 6 months ago that not all features were available {yet}. To this day, there’s no acc
- [R32] ⚠️ They Track You: They track you across apps and the web. There is no valid reason as to why that’s necessary. Do you really trust a company that does that? See the App Privacy section of their App Store page for details.
- [R11] NOT for beginners!!: It hypes at being for beginners and having diet plan but it’s NOT. I could barely doing the walking. This app is for people that are flexible and already in fairly decent shape. I hurt so bad after 3 weeks trying to do the easiest workouts. Honestly, I’d like my money back. It made me feel defeated in losing weight because I hurt so bad doing even one workout after a couple we
- [R24] App crashing: This app has never let me down before and I’m only writing this here because I can’t find a place where I can report a technical issue to the developer directly. The app is showing a blank black screen with the FitOn logo underneath and then it closes when I try to open it. Updated phone and app and restarted to no avail. Hopefully gets fixed soon!
- [R9] Need Apple Watch version: I used FitOn app for the last 3 months and like it content and hot it works on Apple TV version. One thing from being very good, is lack of Apple Watch functionality and connectivity to Apple TV, similar to Apple’s Fitness + app. FitOn has iWatch app, but it only shows heart rate and doesn’t connect to Apple TV.
- [R13] Love the app: Hello, I’ve paid my yearly fee of 39.99 and have downloaded many exercises on my IPad. Is there a reason why I cannot download the exercises on my IPhone? The FitOn app wants me to subscribe again for my IPhone in order to download. Am I missing something??
- [R18] Worth a Membership: Classes are fun, lots of variety, totally worth it!
