Who it's for
This app might be for users looking for a simple, fast QR code scanner for basic tasks, provided they are vigilant about avoiding deceptive ads and potential subscription traps R1R3R4R16. It is NOT for users who prioritize privacy, dislike intrusive advertising, or need a consistently reliable scanner without unexpected charges R102R148R160R260.
Evidence note: The evidence for privacy concerns is somewhat thin, with only two direct mentions R160R260, but the nature of the claims (snooping on photos, extensive data tracking requests) makes them significant. The high volume of unrelated reviews makes it challenging to gauge the true sentiment for some features.

- [R102] scam app: Has only one ad, which consists of what looks very much like a button marked continue.Managed to use it many times without being fooled into hitting it, but finally did, at a distracted moment. Led directly to a phish website called Cinema something that conned me into giving it my cc info. Charged me $2. I was willing to forget it, but a week later it tried to see if it could get away w

- [R11] Honesty and integrity: I’m very impressed with the low pressure sales and just plain friendliness. Great dealership, great people. Shout out to John, salesman and Joe, sales manager.
- [R160] snooping privacy: Be careful, this software will snoop on privacy and all photos in the system can be seen, regardless of whether you give it permission or not.
- [R260] Asks to track data and then copy buttons are broken: A consent cookie form pops up when you open the app asking you to agree to at least 30+ different types of tracking and advertising options. Instant bad feeling about the app. It does work I did some testing but, the copy buttons are broken, so you have to manually copy the data and can’t share it properly. Pretty poor app.
- [R153] Worst.: Tried to scan and my whole phone started shaking.
- [R165] Fido: I’m requested to scan to authenticate Google and it takes me to Fido and the iphone 15 freezes

- [R145] Used to be free: Used to be free
- [R245] Free?: If it’s free, why does it say I have three days free and then it has a weekly payment
- [R293] Spam application that takes over your phone.: I wanted to test a qrcode with a non native app. It worked fine. This app shows you an ad first and than redirects to your QR code content. That is fine. What is not fine is that once uninstalled your phones native QR code reader still takes you to their ad. This is a spam application, nothing more.
- [R326] Adssssss: Yes this app can scan QR codes (barely), but the real technological innovation here is the density of advertisements which was straight up just selling another QR code app in their app, right next to a Chinese ad I couldn’t read, which was near the google ads.
