The writing leaves a lot to be desired, the stories often lack the proper detail or they include details that really have nothing to do with the main story. This App could be really useful if it was organized and held pertinent information.

[R106] Patch 1/5 · US Gave me regional stories while missing our biggest local story.: A 48 foot power boat going 40 MPH with 11 people aboard did not see the Alamitos Bay jetty, hit the rocks and sank at 9:20 last night. As I searched for details from local news providers Patch never picked it up and could only offer where to go to see July 4th fireworks. Thanks for nothing Patch.
