Doodle Magic vs Doodle Magic
Given the identical names and descriptions, and the highly similar user feedback, it appears 'Doodle Magic' (App B, higher rated) is simply a newer or slightly different version of 'Doodle Magic' (App A, lower rated), or perhaps a regional variant. Both apps suffer from significant monetization issues, bugs, and poor targeting systems, making neither a clear winner.
Both 'Doodle Magic' apps, despite having different lifetime ratings, face similar criticisms regarding aggressive monetization, numerous bugs, and frustrating targeting mechanics. While some users find them fun time-killers, many express frustration over paywalls, unplayable states after updates, and unresponsive support.
Head to head
you are looking for a simple time-waster and are prepared to encounter significant monetization pressure and potential game-breaking bugs .
you are looking for a simple time-waster, are willing to tolerate aggressive monetization, and hope to be one of the users who finds it enjoyable despite its flaws .
Evidence note: The reviews for both apps are very similar, suggesting they are either the same game, or very close variants. The higher lifetime rating for App B (4.66) is not reflected in its recent reviews, which are just as negative and bug-ridden as App A's (4.34). The free-to-play model for both apps contributes to much of the negativity, as non-paying users often hit paywalls and experience frustration with ads and slow progression.

- [R1] Doodle Magic Monetization with a game underneath: This game manages to shove every conceivable form of monetization imaginable on top of a very thin layer of actual gameplay. Stay away from this one unless you really enjoy watching adds or paying for gameplay elements.
- [R3] Doodle Magic Fix the targeting .-.: The targeting system in this game is stupid, unfortunately. Tower is getting wrecked by 5 lil dudes in a corner and none of my abilities will target them, let alone the magic missile (which will switch targets and shooting one???). Almost like this game is rigged to push you into playing it more, and or spending money to progress. If you’re gonna put a paywall/growth wall in
- [R7] Doodle Magic Random bans and no support: The game itself was pretty addicting and good. The push for money is understandable and can be ignored and is much better than most games these days. However, accounts randomly get banned and support does not respond. You dont even get a reason that you got banned
- [R15] Doodle Magic 👍: Fun but takes forever to level up unless you pay to win.
- [R12] Doodle Magic Issue: The game won’t load have tried uninstalling and reinstalling hasn’t worked any help would be appreciated it’s a good game and I would hope this gets fixed
- [R13] Doodle Magic Update ruined it: Updated the game now every time I press something the intro screen blocks everything or the overlays overlap when I change screens
- [R18] Doodle Magic Recent Update: I like this game and have had fun playing it, but the most recent version of the game is bugged… I can’t start a battle…
- [R27] Doodle Magic Glitch: Love the game but it won’t let me go to castle and if I exit from a slot or come out a game it just shows the main screen
- [R2] Doodle Magic Navigation: Game is good! However i feel like navigating can be kinda difficult. Also it doesnt explain certain things like how to get a different avatar just says from limited event?
- [R6] Doodle Magic Not bad: Fun to play on the toilet. Not enough speed in progress or play time before you run out of energy to take it serious
- [R8] Doodle Magic Great Game: I love this game i play it daily but 1 thing I do want to point out is that the tornado effect is very off from its target and should be foxed immediately but besides that I love this game very much
- [R16] Doodle Magic Kind of fun, monetization is unbearable: Had a fun time for a it with this game, basic premise but engaging enough. But way to quickly it becomes clear you won’t make any progress without sinking cash into it. Not the end of the world, plenty of games do that, some more reasonably than others, this game is not reasonable about it. I have 10 notifications trying to get me to buy something on the ma
- [R19] Doodle Magic Microtransaction and advertisement NIGHTMARE: This game has a fantastic premise, it’s just got everything locked behind paywalls and endless amounts of ads that play 30 seconds at minimum and then require you to hit 5 different cancel buttons. The devs took a giant dump on their game for it to end up this badly
- [R47] Doodle Magic Focus on Ads: This game takes ads to a whole new level. In addition to watching an add to reroll your skill selection for only one time per game, there’s a quest based on how many ads you watch. It feels like they just threw a game together to cover up their focus on ads. The game itself is pretty typical of other games like it. Go play one of those.
- [R53] Doodle Magic Not a good game: Interesting concept but waaay too much pay to win and even worse with way too many ads. Do not play.
- [R17] Doodle Magic Ability focus: Would be nice if abilities took priority to closest enemies.
- [R24] Doodle Magic Fun, but frustrating: This is a fun game but the targeting desperately needs to be fixed. It frequently targets enemies that are not the closest ones and ignores enemies in the corners. This often leads to failing the level or failing to complete it at 100% because it is targeting the wrong thing.
- [R28] Doodle Magic Menus unusable: The game bas been unplayable for a while now. The menus UI is glitched out to where even if you can see it (which isn’t guaranteed) the buttons don’t always work.
