- [R2] DailyArt Inspirational: I have been using that app for a while and it’s been a blast. Every day I take a short break from my usual routine to discover and read about new art pieces. My city lacks art galleries so for me this is the best way to connect with beauty and messages each piece provides.
- [R5] DailyArt Unbelievably Educational: Solid educational app. I really didn’t know anything about art but daily viewing reading the piece of the of day has taught me how to identifying realism vs Impressionism and baroque vs modern styles. It’s become one of the highlights of my day and it certainly beats doom scrolling.
- [R8] DailyArt A lovely little app: Everyday is a joyful discovery of a new and beautiful art piece, along with a brief description of its artist and meaning.
- [R26] DailyArt Great addition to my day: I love this app! I have discovered so many new artists and learned so much about them and ones I already knew. I appreciate art but I'm no connoisseur, nor am I educated in it. This app is fully accessible to me. And I especially love the diversity of the art and artists, from abstract to neoclassical to impressionist, from Asian to European to African to North and South
- [R1] DailyArt Cool app but ads ruin it: Shouldn’t have to pay to enjoy an app. Can’t pay for every single app invented, ads make the app unenjoyable and less usable.
- [R3] DailyArt It has ADDS?: This is not a game app.. but adds for games suddenly started to yell across my reading about a Canadian artist born out of the constitution act. Damn it
- [R4] DailyArt It’s not usable anymore: 90% of the time you spend using the app is spent watching ads. Don’t download.
- [R6] DailyArt It has ads: I deleted it because the ads make the experience uncomfortable.
- [R9] DailyArt Low tech high quality product: The art is great, I appreciate the care they put into it. But the subscription is so glitchy, I am subscribed but still see ads. Incredibly frustrating.
- [R12] DailyArt Where is Toyen?: I tried to search for Toyen and they are missing. Shaming
- [R10] DailyArt Weird Ads: Not paying for an app where I can look up every single painting I see on the app for free
- [R13] DailyArt very difficult to maneuver: cannot get past becoming a premium member to bring up any artwork - this app lists as free but will not allow you to see any art work - will delete
- [R19] DailyArt I’m not paying for stuff I can google: I downloaded the app to look at abstract art and some other genres, BUT I have to pay to see abstract art or pretty much anything unique
- [R67] Art History & Painting Awful: No information. No context. Just an image and it’s painter/title. Ugh
- [R73] Art History & Painting Very disappointing: The app doesn’t provide any information about each piece of artwork.
- [R75] Art History & Painting Artly: The app has a lot of pictures on artwork but does not provide enough information and detail. There is no search function where you can check on an artist and see his works or the period. It needs more content and information.
- [R81] Art History & Painting Some Suggestions: The app is lovely however the information about the paintings are lacking in educational value. It would be extremely helpful that under each piece (if available) a short background or history, a few interesting facts about the paining or a helpful interpretation of what we are looking at or what the items in the painting are supposed to represent, based on what the art community
- [R63] Art History & Painting Learned but very euromale centric: I loved exploring the various artists and learned a lot. However, the title and description should reference the focus on Western Europe and white male artists. Art history happens in other parts of the world and by an interesting diversity of artists. Would love to learn more about a more global art history.
- [R84] Art History & Painting Where is the non-western art?: I love Western art but I love art from everywhere. I want to know from before the Renaissance and from across the globe.
- [R96] Art History & Painting Great but limited: Really enjoyed using the app but found it goes quickly. Unfortunately it lacked additional context on the artists’ backgrounds and context. But more than anything I was deeply disappointed that it’s positioned as an art history app but only really covers European art and the occasional Frida Kahlo. No Asian art or Latin American art.
- [R106] Art History & Painting Great app but eurocentric: This is a great way to learn and i love the way information is laid out. I wish it included more global famous art and was less eurocentric. Great product
- [R21] DailyArt Not all change is good...: I so enjoyed this app until the new version was introduced. Now it is constant frustration. You begin to read and then it immediately goes to an ad. You click off the ad and begin to read again and then there’s another ad. And this is for the "paid for" version of this app. I no longer recommend this and find I turn to it less and less. To bad they changed a good thing.
