- [R2] Storm Shield Accurate and Effective Weather App: I’ve been a subscriber of this app for several years and keep being more impressed over the years. I was in Canada visiting my BFF and was able to track the weather while I was there. This is in another country and still, of course, captures the accuracy of the weather of where I live in the USA - very impressive!
- [R4] Storm Shield Not as good: This app used to be really good, but I’m getting alerts and when I click nothing is there. It’s also not updating while I’m traveling, even though I refresh.
- [R6] Storm Shield Pins Other Areas: I like the radar and temperature features as well as storm warnings. But other places show up as pinned I don't care about. I don't know how they got pinned or how to get rid of them. I'm sure every time I delete it and start over I'm charged for it.
- [R9] Storm Shield Notifications are Odd: I like the app. But what’s annoying is that it tends to generate weather alert notifications and, when I tap the notification and it launches the app, NO ALERTS are seen. So, I’ll see a “Special Weather Statement” notification, tap it, and the app will open with NO additional information about what the Statement is about. VERY annoying.
- [R1] Storm Shield Terrible: The app never lets you know when severe weather events are coming or other severe weather events will happen.
- [R8] Storm Shield Used to be better: I have used Storm Shield for many, many years. Lately its quality has gone downhill. I get other notices about severe weather in my saved areas, but when I open up my saved locations on StormShield, it is not showing the NWS alerts, even though my saved setting is well within the "polygon" that Storm Shield is supposed to be covering for me. Today, I tried to send a Support requ
- [R11] Storm Shield Good notifications: I can’t believe Storm Shield has text to speech when a notification pops up. I’m really loving it. Thank you.
- [R3] Storm Shield Okay. But this scares me…: I like it because it can alert but instead it does an extremely loud alert that freaks me out.
- [R14] Storm Shield Go to!: This is the weather answer; I have all our children’s towns in there. I open up this app and know what it happening all over! The best!
- [R35] Storm Shield Nice to consult: We get a lot of weather information in this very stormphobic area. It’s nice to be able to get a quick visual update without details from multiple states.
- [R7] Storm Shield Do Not Download - Money Hungry Developers: I have been a loyal customer since the app launched. It was my favorite and the best for future radar watches. It helped with Tornado tracking in my area and having the ability to warn my local family. This App has increased its fees from yearly to monthly to weekly at ridiculous levels, especially in a time where everything else is ridiculously expens
- [R13] Storm Shield Used to work…: I’ve used this app for years but in the last year it’s not reliable. Sometimes a local alert will pop up on my phone, sometimes not, but when I go to check the alert it’s not there (even though it’s active). I have better luck with a local weather station app that’s hundreds of miles away. I’m not sure what glitch is happening, but for a paid app - I expect more. Please address this
- [R15] Storm Shield Not the same: The local weather forecast for the tv channel I chose used to be part of this app. The streaming forecast has not been available in this app for months. The cost of the app is much too high to not have all the features promised. Why not fix this? Not inclined to keep paying for a broken app.
- [R19] Storm Shield New developer firm is greedy: I first downloaded this app several years ago when it’s original owners and developers had it. Living in Iowa, severe weather is a thing and promptness, accuracy and reliability are THE key attributes for a severe weather alerting app to demonstrate. Storm Shield ticked all three boxes for years both in Iowa and for the brief time I lived in another state. Like some o
- [R37] Storm Shield Can't Restore Subscription: A family member has a subscription for the app and even though family sharing is enabled on both their devices and mine, Storm Shield errors out and doesn't allow me to restore the subscription.
- [R79] Storm Tracker° App does not work at this time. Do not purchase this app.: Do not buy this app, it is not working at all. It is currently not populating any current weather data or forecast data. Sent an email 30+ days ago and received no response from Impala Studios the developer. I have to assume at this time the developer is no longer supporting this weather app. It’s too bad it was once my favorite app.
- [R94] Storm Tracker° This app sucks!: I wish I could give it zero! I can’t change my location, I can’t get forecasts. I paid for a subscription- I can’t get a hold of the idiots who created the site, when you push send to contact them, poof, it disappears, just like my trust for this useless product. If l see a charge, I will stop payment!
- [R22] Storm Shield Price Increase is too much,: Latest price increase to over $11 a month is too much. It adds uo to more than $120 year. After almost a decade, I am cancelling my subscription. I will miss you but this is too much.
- [R34] Storm Shield Price increase: This app is not worth $11.49 a month. What are you doing?
- [R56] Storm Shield Smh at the greed: This app used to be $0.99 a month. Then became $1.99 a month. Then you had to pay for certain alerts and map features. For some reason, the app became $6.49. And now it is $12 a month. The app itself has been great but the price increases are insane and don’t even reflect anything other than wanting to make more money.
- [R28] Storm Shield No alert: Absolutely gave us no alert for the tornado that touched down. At least I was watching the news and heard the sirens
- [R31] Storm Shield No tornado alert: Once again we have tornado sirens and this app was silent. If you are looking for an app to keep you safe, this one is not it.
- [R67] Storm Tracker° Ads everywhere: Very aggressive ads that make the free version even ridiculous to use. Go with Weather Channels app instead.
- [R70] Storm Tracker° $$$$$$: The free version has ads that block everything. The paid version is too expensive for the typical person.
- [R78] Storm Tracker° Old was better.: They updated the free app and remove some functionality and it runs slower. If you were wanting to check a storm quickly you can’t anymore you have to go through a number of ads first. For this reason alone I would not recommend it.
- [R81] Storm Tracker° Theres an Ad every time you open this app: Every time you check the temperature there like a 10 second Ad you HAVE to watch and can’t click out of. Otherwise it’s a good app.
