- [R1] ZINIO Not enough magazines to pick from: With all the magazines out there ZINIO has very narrow selection it’s also has no warning when your subscription is almost over
- [R3] ZINIO There’s an issue with the reader view where the text is really small: In a recent update the reader view text size has become illegibly small across multiple magazines. The slider no longer works where you can change text size.
- [R19] ZINIO Will not load homepage or library: The app used to work well. But for the last two months, all that I get is a white screen that never loads either the homepage or my library magazines. I keep the app updated and my iPad has the latest updates.
- [R62] PressReader Great news option: PressReader delivers what most aggregators promise but few achieve: genuine breadth without chaos. The app pulls from outlets across the political spectrum and presents them side by side, often on the same story. This matters. Reading a single account of an event creates the illusion of complete understanding; reading three or four exposes the gaps, the framing choices, and the
- [R7] ZINIO Doesn’t work half the time!!!: It would be nice if this actually worked!! I constantly have to use the desktop site to see my magazines. Why don’t you make an app that actually works?!?
- [R10] ZINIO It keeps crashing: Now, it won’t even open, then crash again and again.
- [R55] ZINIO App fails to open.: Most of the time app will not open. Uninstalling and re installing fixes it temporarily until the next time you open the app.
- [R66] PressReader Use allot but buggy still although has improved: I let it ready print publications to me It works pretty well But it does a poor job of remembering where you were And although it crashes less often than a few months ago it still crashes
- [R4] ZINIO Terrible app: I stumbled on this app while looking for Apple News alternative, but it was nothing but disappointment. I couldn’t even get to sign up for an account because I kept getting notifications that they’re experiencing technical difficulties. What a lame app!
- [R13] ZINIO Doesn’t open on iPad: All software is current and yet the Zinio app won’t open. Tapping the app icon just opens as a flash up and immediately dissipates.
- [R40] ZINIO Open Sesame!: This app worked great for years. For the last several months, every time I click on it there is nothing but a white screen with a never ending loading indicator. A daily delete app, reload, and sign in are required. Please help! I’m sharing this same information that I sent several months ago. It got better for a short while, and I was going to update my response to a positive one. O
- [R64] PressReader Individual Issues and Followed Publications don’t Sync across Devices: I prefer reading a whole magazine/newspaper vs individual articles, and when I heard about this app, i thought it’d be a nice experience. It was, but only on one device. When I attempted to read the individual issues I bought on another device, the app requires me to buy them again. And there is no syncing your library across d
- [R25] ZINIO Don’t subscribe!!!: Don’t use this app. They make it impossible to cancel a subscription. Every other subscription service through iTunes is super easy to cancel a subscription, but not on ZINIO. Ridiculous! The ZINIO subscription doesn’t even show under my iTunes account even though the billing is through iTunes. Save yourself a nightmare and don’t use this app for magazines.
- [R30] ZINIO Good and Bad: I love the fact that my magazines are electronic and can be found on a single app. I don't like the fact that, 1. I have to wait until my subscription expires until I can renew it. 2. I am not allowed to subscribe multiple years at one time. 3. my preferred magazines don't come up at the front. 4. And there is no way to hide magazine suggestions that are offensive to me.
- [R73] PressReader Scam alert! Impossible to cancel: Impossible to cancel or disable auto renew
- [R75] PressReader Why not have $4.99 select option: Excellent App with great publications . However a $4.99 option will be welcome with a few newspapers and magazines would be much more affordable . A flexible select plan would attract more subscribers.
- [R14] ZINIO Cannot access eight years of magazine subscriptions: For the last week I have been emailing support and they were able to fix the problem.
- [R61] PressReader Customer service: Unhelpful customer service
- [R112] PressReader Library access: this app repeatedly makes me put my library card in instead of keeping my information so I don't have to do that over and over and over. I keep getting pop-up for me to pay for premium service, I just wanted to access this app through my library. Deleted app, it's more of a spam app
- [R100] PressReader Scammy…: Was told by our library that we could access newspapers for free; after installing app, not only did they only “give” you one week free with $7.99/week ever after, but no newspapers accessible. Evidently you choose a topic and the app selects any paper it wants for you with an article with the topic you’re looking to read. Sorry. Will continue with WSJ and NYTimes subscriptions where we c
