Manobook vs Wattpad
Manobook offers a more tolerable free reading experience with fewer ad interruptions and more consistent access to content, making it the better choice for casual readers.
Manobook and Wattpad both offer free reading with in-app purchases, but Wattpad is currently plagued by an overwhelming number of ads and technical glitches that severely hinder the user experience. Manobook, while still having monetization complaints, provides a more stable and enjoyable reading environment for free users.
Head to head
you prioritize a more stable reading experience with fewer ad interruptions and are willing to engage with ads or pay for individual chapters, especially if you enjoy diverse and engaging stories R7.
you are a writer looking for a platform to publish your stories and are willing to tolerate significant ad frequency and technical issues, or if you are interested in a large community of user-generated content .
Evidence note: Wattpad's recent reviews are overwhelmingly negative, focusing almost entirely on excessive ads and app instability, which heavily skews its current user perception despite a higher lifetime rating. - [R2] Manobook Tres motociclista Alfas quieren un matrimonio abierto: La trama está muy buena, pero muy larga. Siguen alargando mucho. Salen de una trama cuando está más emocionante y pasan a otra y se pierde la emoción
- [R9] Manobook Love it: Very entertaining can’t put it down once I start reading
- [R15] Manobook Jilted Hires marriage, billionaire tycoon: Love this book so interesting and it’s down to earth. I can relate to a lot of the stuff that’s going in love this love it love it love it.
- [R17] Manobook Pack Doctor: I love this story, it was interesting from start to finish. There were many different plot twists. Romance, intense fighting and steamy love stories. There was never a dull moment and I couldn’t put it down. I highly recommend this story, you won’t regret reading it. Planning on reading it again soon.
- [R1] Manobook Wish you had better options: The stories are good, enough to keep me interested. Having to watch so many videos for a chapter that I read in less than half the time I spend watching videos is nonsense, but I can’t bring myself to spend what would be at least 30 dollars or more to read a book that if it had regular chapters it would probably only be maybe a 40 to 50 chapter book. At least other App
- [R3] Manobook Gets expensive: As much as I love this reading on this app, it gets too expensive. 250 coins for a chapter is robbery! And not many ways to get coins except buying, as much as I love the app I’ll have to delete it. Three star for the ridiculous amount of coins it cost for a chapter after you’re already caught up in a book and want to know the ending.
- [R4] Manobook Hard to understand!: I purchased a weekly subscription thinking that meant I’d have a seven day access to my book. Yeah that apparently isn’t true. I got like two days then it’s made me watch ad after ad to read the next chapter. Then after so many then it wouldn’t even let me do that anymore. It’s making me watch other ads with very few points with each just trying to get enough to read the next
- [R6] Manobook I like reading: There should be an option when we can just buy the book to read. It is annoying when you have to get points for every chapter.
- [R16] Manobook Starr: I’m intrigued by the storytelling and it’s very engaging. I do have a little trouble with getting some of my coins because they’re not able to turn in to reading coins, which makes it very difficult.
- [R32] Manobook Amazing: So far this is one of the best apps that I have used only wish there was a way to go straight to the rewards center from the story that is being read I have to exit go to the reward center and then find my story again but apart from that it’s a really good app
- [R7] Manobook Good stories, read for free: I love this app because you can read chapters for free by watching ads. Much better compared to some of the other apps which you can read only by paying a lot for coins. Would definitely recommend this app!
- [R12] Manobook Good: It’s a pretty good app. I do wish there were more ways to get coins besides buying them.
- [R24] Manobook 👍🏻: Great stories and love the ability to read quite a bit for free before having to pay for chapters.
- [R51] Wattpad Sick of the ads!!!: The ads make the app so unusable! If it were a quick ad sure not to bad. But lately all of these adds are literally blocked to exit out of. You’re just sitting on a ad screen you can’t click out of. Nobody should have to pay for this app. The tags are barely usable anymore. Most of the good ones and blocked for no reason. Just over this app!
- [R53] Wattpad Ridiculous Amount of Ads: I love this app but god. I’m not exaggerating when I say I get an ad after EVERY SINGLE PAGE. It’s so annoying and makes me want to simply uninstall. When I first got the app, it was an ad here and there but now it’s every single page.
- [R56] Wattpad To much ads: Love wattpad but I hate the amount of ads there are now, before it would be a 10-15 second ad, but now the ads can go up to 2 minutes from my experience. And I get it I can pay for the ads to be removed but I just wished there weren’t so many ads as there is now.
- [R57] Wattpad Ads: It used to be an Ad every few chapters, now it’s after every single one. Stop using so many ads or risk having the app being shut down because of no one using it anymore.
- [R13] Manobook Really nice app: I really like this app. It allowed me to read almost the entire book by just watching ads until it got almost to the end and then they stopped the ads and make you pay for the chapters which for one chapter can cause 447 coins, which means you will have to pay a lot of money just to finish the book so I wasn’t happy with that. If you pay $4.99 for 500 coins you’re only going to ge
- [R14] Manobook Review: I enjoy the books. At the end the book the number of coins increases with the chapters and this is the main down fall. If the app allowed you to complete a book with the same amount of coins on each chapter it would be more enjoyable.
