Bomber Ace vs 1945 Air Force
For players seeking a casual, relaxing experience with fewer ads, Bomber Ace might be a better choice, but 1945 Air Force offers more depth and a larger community despite its aggressive monetization and technical issues.
Bomber Ace offers a fun, calming experience but is plagued by excessive and long ads, making progression difficult without payment. 1945 Air Force provides a nostalgic, challenging grind with more game modes, but it is heavily pay-to-win and suffers from significant bugs and poor customer support.
Head to head
Pick Bomber Ace if you want a casual, relaxing game to pass the time R2 and prefer a simpler 2D shooter experience. It's also a better choice if you value a game that is less prone to severe bugs like data loss and crashing R8R9.
Pick 1945 Air Force if you enjoy a challenging, nostalgic arcade shooter with more depth, various game modes, and a community aspect . Be prepared to either grind extensively or spend money to progress R80.
Evidence note: The evidence for Bomber Ace's ad situation is overwhelming and consistent across many reviews, indicating a significant user pain point. 1945 Air Force's monetization strategy is also a dominant theme in its reviews. While some 1945 Air Force reviews claim 'no ads,' the vast majority, especially recent ones, contradict this, suggesting a potential change in ad policy or a free-tier vs. paid-tier experience asymmetry (, , vs. , , , , ).

- [R2] Bomber Ace 5 star game: Super fun and is calming. And good for relaxing.
- [R3] Bomber Ace Entertaining, but slow after a while: I really liked this game at first, and still enjoy it. The issue I have is after a while, the levels are all pretty much the same and all pretty easy. I’d enjoy some more challenging levels like the ads show. It’s also slow to upgrade your plane, and the app needs internet to load.
- [R5] Bomber Ace Fun: This game is everything a 2D plain shooter should be other than historic accuracy for example nukes need the big red button to be pressed in order to explode dew to how nukes work so that even if a meteor were to hit the bomb it would not explode so you dropping a bomb on it is just silly talk. Other than that the fact that all enemies are on small islands makes no sense so try making inland
- [R6] Bomber Ace Fun at First, Then Gets Repetitive: The gameplay is fun and enjoyable, but the developers really need to add new missions and maps. I’ve reached over level 400, and the game has stayed exactly the same the whole time with no real variety. Also, every time you upgrade your planes or buy new ones, the challenge mode matches you against much stronger players, which feels like it pushes you to spend m
- [R18] Bomber Ace Great game: Great game! Very smooth and fun to play. Should be simple enough to play offline, but the app is blocked without internet. Not good for travelling, so for me this game was useless.
- [R21] Bomber Ace Missions: This is fun until you get the nearly IMPOSSIBLE missions, like the bomber protecting has taken me SO MANY RETRIES AND I STILL HAVEN’T BEAT IT. The 1 hour wait each time sucks BUNS. FIX NOW.
- [R34] Bomber Ace This game is broken: Don’t spend any money on this, once you get to level 168 you will be stuck at the end. There is a truck on a bunker and its chard remains will prevent you from destroying the bunker.
- [R8] Bomber Ace Glitch: The game is great there is just one glitch: level 19 or something like that has a cruiser I tried to bomb the missile things on it they died but kept shooting. I sank the ship even. They still kept shooting, so I tried to exit but it said mission incomplete. Please fix this so I can move forward in the game. The game is absolutely 💯% awesome though😃
- [R9] Bomber Ace Some small glitches but overall fun: Been having a good time with it but stuck on level 168 for a while because once you blow up the vehicle on the rear most bunker you can’t hit or attack the bunker. Hoping the developer can fix that glitch.
- [R1] Bomber Ace Ads: It was fun until they started playing ads between literally every mission.
- [R7] Bomber Ace Adds are forever and a half: Dont push the add button they are atleast 2 mintues a piece
- [R10] Bomber Ace Too many ads: This game is pretty fun, but the add are ridiculous!! And the ads are long and after every mission and they are back to back. Maybe the paid version is better
- [R11] Bomber Ace Great game but the ads: When I got the no ads section I LOVED IT but then ads after every short game if you hear me make it a easy way to get ads away like spending in game money it would make the game boom a lot of people think there is no ads sorry if you see this there’s ads after every level I want to rate it a 4.4
- [R61] 1945 Air Force Never received my gems: I have purchased gems from this app twice and they never came. I tried reaching out to support but their email doesn’t work. Scam of a game .
- [R106] 1945 Air Force Missing a purchase, nobody has responded back to my several messages: Could you please get your support staff to answer customers request for help?
- [R13] Bomber Ace To much ad: Watching ad to get some extra coins is totally okay but ad between every level it’s to much. Overall it’s a very cool game and I would play way more if there wasn’t so much ad.
- [R63] 1945 Air Force Limited weapons/arsenals upgrade: Too easy and takes such a long time. Still no big upgrades and they want your money.
- [R67] 1945 Air Force Impossible to progress without spending money: The game is very fun and nostalgic. But really difficult to progress past tier 1 without spending a ton of time and/or a ton of money. Devs make the in game store tricky and easy to accidentally spend “gems” with a tap since there is no “are you sure” prompt . Fun for the first few days or weeks, then expect to waste your time or money
- [R79] 1945 Air Force Not worth it: Retro air combat game and plays great. To advance and upgrade your plane you need to definitely spend money otherwise it takes too much time or too much time watching ads. You’ll honestly spend more money than you would buying a 10/10 PlayStation game. Let that sink in it’ll cost you more to advance on a phone hand than it would for you to buy a top rated PlayStation game. If I could
- [R80] 1945 Air Force Fun Time Killer: Decent game but definitely a pay to win type game. You can grind if you want but the grind is a GRIND. Be nice to be able to see what exactly you are getting when you get plane cards. If you could click on it and see what it is to help you keep an eye on what you are working towards. I’ve spent money but probably just going to grind until I get bored and find another game.
