My Pollen Forecast vs Air Quality & Pollen
My Pollen Forecast is a better choice for users primarily concerned with pollen tracking, offering more specific allergy management features, while Air Quality & Pollen struggles with accuracy and reliability despite its broader air quality scope.
My Pollen Forecast excels in providing detailed pollen information and allergy tracking, though some users report accuracy issues and a lack of advanced forecasting. Air Quality & Pollen, while aiming for broader air quality data, is plagued by significant accuracy problems, widget failures, and performance issues, making it less reliable.

- [R1] My Pollen Forecast Useless: This was useless! I know the pollen today is quite high and the app is posting low to none! Totally wrong!
- [R2] My Pollen Forecast Accurate: Great to know what to expect allergy wise before going out
- [R3] My Pollen Forecast Notifications have basically zero info: Springtime in Florida. Everyday I get a notification “pollen count is high”. No info on the main pollen contributor, you have to open the app for that. Instead of writing “open the app”, why not list the dominant pollen type? People know you can open the app, no need for a daily reminder of that. Also: we had major rain storms the other day. And yet the ap
- [R13] My Pollen Forecast Pollen and area not accurate: Conflicting information about area pollen. Very inaccurate.
- [R33] My Pollen Forecast Pretty good; missing a couple of vitals: I like having a simple app to check the pollen count; however, these things would really improve it: 1. Dewpoint reading. Knowing the heat/humidity is great, but the dewpoint is more useful for gauging comfort/breathe-ability outside. 2. Longer range predictions. Today is good; tomorrow’s better; 7-10 days ahead would be much better, for planning purposes.
- [R65] Air Quality & Pollen Air Quality app review: I have been using this for about 2 years. I love it. It is 100%accurate. Easy to use. And free. What else is there to say?
- [R68] Air Quality & Pollen Timely updates: This has become my go to for AQI information
- [R71] Air Quality & Pollen Great ap: AirCare gives air quality updates long before weather apps. It is also specific to your location.
- [R4] My Pollen Forecast Doesn't seem useful for just ragweed/grass: There's no way to tell the app which kinds of allergens you care about. Makes this pretty useless for me. If you have all the allergies, otherwise seems nice.
- [R6] My Pollen Forecast You can’t: You can’t add other cities to this application without being in that city and the search engine doesn’t seem to work at all for locating any other city to get pollen info on the city so I don’t really recommend that you download this app because it doesn’t give you many choices or options
- [R8] My Pollen Forecast Love it!!!: I like this and this helps so much with my allergies it also reminds me to take my meds thank you very much for this.
- [R10] My Pollen Forecast uses quite a bit of power: The app does a good job of tracking pollen, however it is my third most power hungry app and the top for background power usage. I’m not sure why it needs so much background power, but 12% usage in one day on an 17 pro?
- [R20] My Pollen Forecast So helpful: This app is so simple & helpful. How high the pollen is & what the highest pollen is from. Excellent!
- [R23] My Pollen Forecast Works great!: Works great!
- [R28] My Pollen Forecast Can’t read it: I can’t even read the blurb because it’s covered by an ad and every time I tap or try to scroll down me if I want to use my current location or pick my own and no matter how many times it’s the same thing. I’m not going to pay just to try the app. The info seems incredibly limited anyway.
- [R36] My Pollen Forecast Unable to view full pollen narrative: Couldn’t scroll down to view pollen narrative due to ads.
- [R39] My Pollen Forecast I am very disappointed in this app. I l paid for information that is available for free!!: I am very disappointed in this app. l paid for information that is available for free!!
- [R45] My Pollen Forecast Decent, but would be great with a few additions: I tried a few different pollen apps and this is definitively the best. However, it’s still less useful than visiting pollen.com. A few things I would like to see to make this five stars: 1. The ability to pay to remove ads. 2. A breakdown of pollen type on the map. I want to know if it’s grass or ragweed or whatever. 3. A forecast that extends past
- [R15] My Pollen Forecast Type pollen: Doesn't identify the types of pollen
- [R30] My Pollen Forecast Pollen: It doesn’t show what is high ( trees or grass) just shows high or low. I would like to know what is high.
- [R63] Air Quality & Pollen Great information, slow app: The data provided is great, definitely my preferred app to track air quality. But the app is consistently slow to load. Also, I paid so I could have the widget, and it’s always lagging/stuck on a reading from many hours ago. I end up having to open the app anyway because the widget is out of date.
- [R66] Air Quality & Pollen Great app, widget never updates.: Right now if I open the app, it says the AQI is 14. However, the widget on my home and lock screens always says it’s 52. The widget only seems to refresh the AQI every couple of weeks.
- [R72] Air Quality & Pollen Home Screen widget doesn’t work: Will like to cancel paid membership. I like the app in general but having to open it every time I’d like an update on AQ means handling my phone way more than I want to. I’ve contacted them in the past on this topic and the answer was not satisfactory. All I see now on my Home Screen after restarting my phone is a blurry red square. Before it was the same AQ day
- [R78] Air Quality & Pollen Best air quality and pollen app out there!: Update: July 19th 2023- problems again with widget being blank. In last 2 weeks widget has only shown data for 3 days. Need a response please from you Gorjan If I pay 5.99 a month, I expect there not to be these amount of issues for the widget. 2 weeks ago Worth the $5.99 per month! Data is accurate, clear and uncluttered. Customer service is one of
- [R76] Air Quality & Pollen Ot accurate aqi readings: This aqi is so off compared to the stellar airnow app.
- [R95] Air Quality & Pollen Not even close to reality regarding air quality: This app is not even close to reality regarding Air Quality. Just one of thousands of examples is when I am driving into an area and it's so dark with pollutants I can't even see the mountains and this app says it's good quality air. As it turns out it ends up the air has thousands of times toxicity of pollutants of aluminum, cesium, and barium.
- [R97] Air Quality & Pollen HIGHLY inaccurate: We are currently under an air quality alert. The apps current reading: the air is clean, 46. You walk outside and it’s “foggy.” It has been for days due to wildfires. Current reading from airnow.gov is 162. THAT seems more accurate, considering I can’t even see through the air clearly.
- [R99] Air Quality & Pollen Inaccurate -: I can see smoke outside from the Canadian fires and this app says our AQI is 40 - clean. In fact, our local weather service says the AQI is 230 - very unhealthy. There’s no excuse for this error and it could have serious health consequences if someone believes the air is clean. Don’t recommend.
- [R14] My Pollen Forecast Love the app, BUT: This app is great. However, I wish you would allow me to log more previous days in my diary. I constantly forget to log days. You only allow yesterday and today logs. The unfortunate aspect is, I don’t know exactly how my allergies are doing for the day until the evening. The app should let you log yesterday’s and then the day before yesterday. Not today I don’t know how today’s
- [R44] My Pollen Forecast Just Amazing!!: I got this app just hoping to have something to check to see the pollens, but I was gladly surprised to see an allergy tracker, and even after my second month it showed me what I was most allergic to, based on my entries. Many thanks to the makers of this app! One thing I might suggest is to have a little more statistics? I find I would like a little more than ‘med-high’ to rank t
- [R56] My Pollen Forecast Helps me keep track: I love knowing exactly which allergens are in bloom and the feature that shows me a picture of the culprit allergen if it’s available. The diary feature that helps me to know which allergens I need to prepare for year after year. The forecast is nice too. I have had this app for a few years and it’s one of the better apps on my phone.
