1. [R1] Reading List 2/5 · US Scanning functionality no longer works: The scanning barcode functionality does not work at all anymore. Every book now needs to be added manually. I will probably be switching to a different app if this is not fixed.

It checks all the boxes and then some- it gives recommendations for other books and authors and allows you to add authors you like. Huge fan of this!

However this latest update has messed up the app and made it almost unusable. Takes too long to load, missing previously loaded data, messing up page counts. Bring it back to waht it was before this last disasterous update.

Was very disappointed to see that the “statistics” (the entire reason for an app like this), is only available if you are willing to pay a monthly or annual fee. So without a purchase, this is as useful as keeping a list in a note app of which books you have read.

I love that you can list how many times you’ve read the book. I love that you can change the covers. I love that you can choose which books represent you. Doesn’t feel like a social media app which I LOVE. It feels like an actual book tracker for readers.

However, I haven’t been able to add friends that are also on the app (shows message “user not found” when I click the name & vice versa). This is an inconvenience as we read together and hold each other accountable. Not being able to see each other’s profiles makes this difficult to do.

I love how stimulating and non distracting it is which is exactly what I want for my book tracking. My only gripe with it is that it’s not available for android users so the majority of my friends can’t join me in this. However all of them are signed up for when that releases!
