Stack vs Helix Jump
Both Stack and Helix Jump are simple, addictive games that are heavily criticized for excessive ads and performance issues, but Helix Jump has a slight edge due to its larger user base and slightly better overall reception despite similar complaints.
Stack and Helix Jump are both free-to-play mobile games with similar core issues: an overwhelming number of ads that frequently cause lag and glitches, severely impacting the user experience. While both offer simple, addictive gameplay, Helix Jump boasts a much larger player base and a slightly higher lifetime rating, suggesting it might be marginally more polished or engaging for a broader audience.
Head to head
You prefer a stacking game and are willing to play offline to avoid ads and lag, or if you are prepared to purchase the ad-free version and accept that some ads might still appear R23R46R58.
You enjoy a ball-dropping, maze-style game, appreciate ASMR elements, and are willing to tolerate frequent ads or seek out the Apple Arcade version for an ad-free experience .
Evidence note: Both apps suffer from very similar issues, primarily excessive ads and performance problems (lag, glitches). The evidence for both is strong and consistent across many reviews. Helix Jump has a much larger volume of reviews, but the nature of the complaints is nearly identical to Stack.

- [R3] Stack Stop the blocks from growing: Relaxing game. But add an option to switch off the tiles growing after aligning them perfectly. Maybe replace it with a reward or something.
- [R6] Stack It ok: It’s fun to play the first couple of times but it just gets so repetitive although it can be fun every now and again. There should just be more stuff to do
- [R23] Stack AMAZING🤩: The game is great and the overall graphics and design is fantastic!! People are complaining about ads, which is a simple problem to fix. Turn of your Wi-Fi and you won’t get any ads. Personally, even with Wi-Fi on, I never experienced any adds and find the game relaxing and great for passing time or a quick session of playing! I love the challenges / quests as they push me harder to do m
- [R33] Stack The glass: The glass one is invisible
- [R1] Stack Don’t risk it.: First thing that pops up is asking you to accept marketing/cookie preferences, going in to decline all these since they’re not exactly relevant, there’s HUNDREDS to manually unselect. No way to just decline all, and to then accept these changes, you need to find the not obviously placed button to accept, the main button, highlighted bright red is “Accept All”. Not a great experie
- [R14] Stack Best time killer: It’s absolutely so fun and best way to kill the time
- [R32] Stack Perfect!!!!: The app is really calming and helps with stressful times if you’re looking for an app that calms you down, I would recommend this one Hope everyone reading this has a nice day xx
- [R44] Stack I like it!: It turned out to be harder than I thought 😅
- [R7] Stack My review on stack: It froze my phone for 5 minutes and did an emergency sos then cancelled it and turned my phone off and back on
- [R12] Stack Lags when an ad pops up: Great game although the game lags everytime a new ad pops up at the bottom of the screen, thus causing you to throw you off and lose prematurely
- [R16] Stack Freeze: every time i try play it freezes for a second when i try place a block and when i tap it freezes its hard to make perfects and no die
- [R19] Stack Adverts f&£k the flow: Adverts ruin the game . Freezes when the ad at bottom changes causing you yo fail
- [R4] Stack Where's the game?: Lots of adverts with a game in there occasionally
- [R9] Stack Good and bad: So the game altogether is really fun but after EVERY SINGLE GAME this is 10+seconds adds and it is so annoying
- [R10] Stack DONT DOWNLOAD IT: When I I saw the reviews I thought it was meh it properly fake but when I download it was a disaster every time you lose you alway get a annoying ads which take so long and boring and since you might thing it it a good game it not so don’t DOWNLOAD IT
- [R13] Stack Great game, spoilt by adverts.: Ye same crap, ruined by ads, clearly devs prefer ads over greatness. End of each game unless low stack results in 2 ads or possible 3 being played, quickest way around it is shutdown the game and reboot which is far quicker that watching 30 sec to 1 min ads. I prefer some ads but not on this scale. Stop being ad demons devs.
- [R29] Stack Lags a lot: I love this game as i can learn to improve my new stacking record and it helps me focus. The only complaint i have about this game is that it keeps lagging or glitching which means when I tap to get it perfect, it freezes for a bit and puts the block in the wrong place
- [R30] Stack Advertisements prioritised by the game.: The game is a great way to pass some time whilst travelling as Wi-Fi is not required, however, if you are playing with Wi-Fi though the game becomes a bit more laggy causing the click to register at the wrong time. The reason for the lag when using Wi-Fi, the game prioritises the loading of adverts at the bottom of the screen over the game running smoothly
- [R54] Stack Nooooooo: It’s a nice game overall and it’s very relaxing. The gradient is really pretty and the sounds are nice but… it keeps glitching. Every time I get about ten perfects, it glitches and then freezes and I can’t play that game which is really frustrating when you’re doing one of those challenges. I still haven’t even been able to get 100 score because of this glitch. Please fix this!!!
- [R46] Stack Stop the bad reviews: This game is great but people keep writing bad reviews. IF UR ANNOYED BY THE ADS TURN OFF THE WIFI. This game is brilliant it’s a simple game that is so addictive defo download now.
- [R58] Stack ITS IS GREAT: you can play against your friends there’s a point system so it stays fresh for a long time Lots of ads but then again you can just disconnect from Wi-Fi to play with no ads
- [R64] Helix Jump Power hungry: Cant play without wi-fi nor without an ad every five seconds
